There's only one register open at all times so sometimes a line goes all the way to the back of the store for checkout. There's a total of 3 workers there. One stocks shelves, one on the register and what looks like a manager who walks around the store thinking it looks good. There's freezers and fridges leaking water into the aisles. The only good thing I saw was that they had a wet floor sign up. I can't speak on the meat section because I wouldn't even think to buy meats from here. There's piles of dirt and garbage with brooms blocking some aisles. Overall I'm not sure how the health dept hasn't seen any red flags out of this place. It's a shame because it's located in a nice area.

However, the two times I've ventured into this store when checking out the women at the register was extremely rude. I have no idea what was going on. She through my groceries as she was handling them and I packed them. Handed me my receipt with no thank you...nothing. As she greeted the next customer I said, thank you. She ignored it. I run a business in the area and this behavior is not acceptable. I have reservations to recommend this place anymore.

I happened to be in the upper Bergen County area & had some time to kill. The set back here that was quite surprising was the employees were super rude. I can't say I've ever had this experience in the Trader Joe's in Wayne or Clifton. I can't say it will stop me from visiting again,, however I won't be asking anyone for help. They should not be treating customers this way. I encountered two employees who had no etiquette.

Here in Westwood, staffs at customer desk aren't friendly nor pleasant. I've been coming here…read moreover 15 years spending avg 100+ weekly. When it's time to sell any bags with the limited quantity, they need to relax and still treat the customers the nice way. One day, I didn't know they were selling pastel color mini bags when I went to shop, I didn't need the bags but I knew my friend wanted them so I stopped by the desk to ask what is the limit and I was told 4. And I had to text my friend to see what colors she wanted, but was not able to reach her on time. So I continued to shop and when she finally replied, I went back to the desk and I said one of each color, the gentleman gave me a nasty look with mean voice saying didn't you already come? Limit is 4 so you can't get them. Oh my, chill out man. I explained the whole situation and he reluctantly gave them to me but the voice and look of this man left me a scar that's going to remain and be remembered every time I come to this branch to shop. Why are they so mean and sensitive. I don't care how important it is to give the customer the bags with the limit 4, still customers have to be treated with respect. Other trader joe's branches staffs are so nice even allowing dogs. This isn't the first time I felt unpleasant. There was few ladies by the plant section who are very unpleasant. Last time I brought my hypoallergenic dog to the store to buy milk (bc i cant leave my dog in the car by herself) and the lady came and said to me I must leave .. having the dog in the cart is so unsanitary!!!!! {hello lady, who calls my pet dirty,,, it wasn't like I left my 10 lb dog on the cart, I left dog in her own car seat and left the car seat in the cart. } Anyway, westwood need to improve and be nicer to people ( I do feel like it may be racial discrimination which is against the law in this day and age.)

I had been going to this location for years. I used to come here for their selection of vegetarian…read moremeals (prepared and frozen). I would often be able to pick up something every time I went but it seems as if they do not make as many vegetarian prepared meals as they used to. During 3 out of 4 of my last four visits, we were followed around by staff who stood there watching us at the end of the aisle or pretended to be putting something back on the shelf while we shopped. On two of those occasions the person left the customer service desk to follow us. On the other occasion it was one of the cashiers from self checkout. Not one person greeted us or asked if we needed help. So being followed around made me feel like I was being treated like a shoplifter. The first time the associate followed us and she walked between me and the end of the aisle. She was practically on top of me glancing at the items I had. I went down an aisle and she stopped about 8 feet away and pretended to be putting an item back in the shelf all while glaring over at us. I just brushed it off as i thought maybe I was overthinking it. The next time I was there one of the male cashiers was talking to another male cashier and they suddenly stopped talking as I walked by the checkout. The one proceeded to follow me staying behind the checkout lanes as I walked towards the frozen aisles. I went into the frozen aisle and turned to see him watching me from the end of the aisle. When I turned and stared at him back he walked away. The last time we were followed after browsing the prepared section. I couldn't find anything to eat so I walked towards the frozen section. The cashier was behind the service desk and immediately walked out as we went by and started following us. He stopped at the end of the aisle staring at us while we looked for a few minutes. I finally turned around because I had enough at this point and he walked away. I walked out without buying anything leaving myself with nothing for dinner because I'd rather miss a meal than give business to a store that treats its customers like thieves. I will no longer shop this store (or their other stores). The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I factored in good experiences too.

The store did have an Acme feel but with a slightly more expansive selection in my opinion. I thought the store well organized and I liked the product variety.
