I was in the mood for some bagels and wanted to try a new place. Today was A&S Bagel. A&S Bagel is in a nondescript strip mall in Bensalem. As soon as I walked in a bit after 10am, I almost considered walking right out. The bad smell of something burning coming from the grill or something else bad was right in my face. But I soldiered on and went to the counter. The bagels were in a glass case where you order. There were two people in charge; the man at the grill, woman at the everything else. May be a family? Anyway, the woman was not very customer friendly but did say hello. They were out of many of the choices of bagels but did have over two full bins of plain. I asked for a dozen and took the leftover marble, one egg, couple of wheat, and a bunch of plain. I needed one more. I didn't want the onion, sesame, or everything bagels left, so I asked for another plain. Then I got "yelled" at by being told that you cannot have more than a 1/2 dozen of one type of bagel unless you pre-order them the day before! I've never heard of this. So what if I want a dozen plain? Too bad unless I called it in yesterday. After questioning and I guess just taking too long, the lady finally just gave me the seventh plain bagel. Even the customer behind me gave me the "can you believe this" look feeling bad for me getting the business from the staff. Just over $12 for the dozen bagels, and I was on my way out. When I got home, I made myself an egg, chicken, bacon, and cheese bagel. The bagel itself was nice and fluffy with a good bagel consistency. They weren't bad at all. I'm not sure I'd come back. Two stars for service and cleanliness of the place, three stars for the taste of the bagels. I didn't get any of the sandwiches on the menu, but everything seemed reasonably priced. I have to round down for A&S Bagels.

Everything bagel veggie spread

Fire. Hand made and delicious. Great price and plenty of spread. Service quick and friendly. Family owned and it shows. The food is made with care.

First time walking into this place. Sadly I didn't even get a bagel to tell you if they're good or not. First let me say yes it is Christmas Eve and they were busy preparing orders. Totally get it if you're out of most items but this wasn't the case. My experience....... I walked in excited because the open and 'Hot 'Bagel' sign was on. My excitement grew as I saw customers sitting and eating their bagels. I was then asked if I had ordered (pre-ordered). I said no and was met with 'well all these bagels are for orders.' My response: can I order? Man: no we're closed Me: but your open sign is on.... and you have people eating...? Man: ya but these bagels are for orders. Me walking out: your open sign is on man Man: no it's off Woman: you can come back in 20. Me: your signs indicate you are open Women: well did you order? No you didn't (append rude tone) I will never step foot in this establishment again. Please see pic of sign grrrrr

FIRST AND LAST TIME! My salmon lox bagel was delicious. HOWEVER, these people DO NOT use GLOVES!!! That lady took my salmon with bare hands! So unsanitary !!!

Lots of sitting room.

Yes, a good bagel place in Bensalem! I was heart broken to leave North Jersey, where my everything bagel got me through many broken hearts and sleepless nights. Then I moved to Trenton, and after a few attempts found a replacement...so naturally when I moved again, I was not looking forward to starting the search from scratch. But thankfully this was a hit from first bite! This bagel place is very unassumingly located in a small plaza, and when you walk inside it is even less appealing than the strip mall. It's two middle aged, middle eastern guys cooking up some delcious carbs. Unlinke some other bagel places, there aren't many fancy options, but all the ones you expect. I choose my usual: everything bagel, egg, cheese and pork roll. It was made quickly and I couldn't wait to get a bite. I would've enjoyed a bit more pork roll, but it wasn't cheap at all. Although this is a no frills place, there were a few things missing for me. Like there is no menu posted, so I have no idea what other types of sandwiches they make. They also didn't have orange juice, which seems pretty basic for a place that sells breakfast. I personally would've loved an ice coffee option, but I know that's being a bit pretentious...but I'm still speaking it to the world just in case. Overall, definitely returning and excited that the place is both affordable and delcious!

Bagels were good but not "wait over an hour in the cold outside" good. A little disappointed.

Maranucci's Deli serves one of the best sandwiches I've had in Philadelphia…read more This is likely to poke the cheesesteak or roast pork purist out there but I'm gonna say it anyways... The corned beef hoagie at Marinucci's Deli is incomparable. It is layered with paper thin slices that are rich but never heavy. The dressing is balanced, the coleslaw adds a nice tang, and the shredded lettuce brings a fresh crunch that ties it all together. That's not enough. If you're from Philly you know that none of the above matters if your bread sucks. Well... Marinucci's offers seeded and unseeded rolls that are incredible. Please join me in thanking baby Buddha for this crusty, chewy yet fluffy vessel of perfection. The hoagie is massive, about the length of two of my hands long, and consistently excellent from first bite to last. When I first unrolled the hoagie my immediate thoughts were that I would never finish this in one sitting. I was right but you do you boo. The service matches the quality. It is an old school deli line that moves fast, with orders handled quickly and accurately even during a rush. Key word is ACCURATELY. Who knew that in 2026 whether or not a business can make your order accurately would be a thing but here we are. It's an important mention because this little detail tells me that they actually give AF. Ambiance: think classic Philly deli but without the attitude or aggression. Add chips and rice pudding to complete your order :)

I was greeted by a lady who said the go-to is the Italian. I said "let's do it". I waited a bit as the sandwich mad made fresh. Another lady came out and took my money. I believe it was $11. A few minutes later I was handed a giant hoagie. I got back to my office and u wrapped my present. I was immediately engulfed by the smells of provolone, vinegar, onions and wonderful meats. The sandwich was BIG so I decided to cut it. After the first bite I was in love. I proceeded to eat half and saved the remainder in my fridge for lunch the following day. I couldn't wait to get back to work know what I had waiting. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I'll be back.

Good solid deli located in a strip mall next to a big Wawa (imagine that)…read more The inside is spacious with just about every chip brand and style you could want. Lots of drink coolers, bread, snacks, desserts, condiments and some other grocery items. Their sandwich rolls are Amoroso. There is a long back area for sandwich prep and an army of people there to take your order. On my two lunch trips I encountered one helpful guy and another that seemed annoyed that I asked about their popular menu items. (He did eventually come through with a great recommendation). First sandwich was a "signature hoagie" The Cornaglia - Genoa Salami, Black Pepper Ham, Capicola, Prosciutto, Imported Provolone and Red Peppers for $10. You can switch the red peppers to long hots and bread to a seeded roll. The sandwich was sizable and average. The amount of meat was good and the red peppers were good, but a bit bland. The Provo needed to be more sharp to raise this sandwich up a tier. It's a great price for the portion. Second round I went with a Chicken Caesar Wrap - grilled chicken breast, romaine lettuce, shredded cheddar, Parmesan cheese and Caesar dressing. $9.50. It held together well and was delicious. Great balance of flavors, chicken was seasoned perfectly. As far as wraps go it was a winner for me. The seating area is pretty large. I saw plenty of locals, police, union guys, nurses etc. Checkout staff was nice and thankful for the business. Reen's is the kind of neighborhood deli everyone should have. Thanks guys!

My dad's 80th birthday is coming up and he loves good olive oil, cheese, pasta, and prosciutto. If you do too - then Roma's is your spot! Service was very friendly and efficient. I walked out with soppressata from the Bronx - the type you'd see hanging in an old school deli. Also some Buffalo mozzarella, Aged prosciutto sliced nice and thin, house made sausage, Olive oil that was Sicilian and not Tuscan (but highly recommended by the deli guy), some house made ravioli, manicotti and stuffed shells, marinara and vodka sauce, impulse buy lamb chops and an Italian sub. Of course I also got the parmigano reggiano, asiago, AND they have scamorza cheese AKA "scamutz!" If you've never heard of scamutz, it's like a cross between mozzarella and provolone. There's a bar in hazleton, PA that makes pizza with it. Very good. Seems somewhat hard to find in my part of NJ but maybe I don't look hard enough. Only thing I forgot was bread. Hey I'm a 'medigan - forgive me. If you aren't sure what's good, just ask them. Staff is very kind and helpful. Sure I spent a couple Benjamin's and a Grant, but we can't take it with us and memories last forever. I'm glad Roma's is around to play a part in the memories we will make for my father's special day. Here's to many more for him, and for this fine purveyor of Italian delicacies!

We arrived around 10am and there was already a bunch of people waiting for orders- so a very good sign is that this shop brings in customers. The menu was huge and up on the wall. I was surprised to see how inexpensive the sandwiches were and was happy to see they also sold a lot of the little Debbie snacks like nutty buddy that I grew up on. They had a nice selection of sodas, chocolate milk and orange juice to choose from and chips, even Rap chips- which I think are their version of Homies, or HomeGirls that were chips in the 90's. (Showing my age). So I ordered the French toast with ham for my daughter and got scrambled eggs, rye toast and sausage. Which also came with home fries. It wasn't too much of a wait although they were receiving a lot of orders on the phone and it was getting more crowded as I stood there waiting. It smelled heavenly in there and I couldn't wait to try my meal. I also got some chocolate milk and little debbies, and tasty kakes for me and my daughter. They also have Grandmas cookies which are the best! We got our food and headed to my sister in laws house to eat- the portions were huge and the boxes were heavy! It smelled so good and my mouth watered as soon as I opened the box.the eggs were golden and tasted so good, everything was cooked to perfection. My daughter also enjoyed her meal! I will deff be going back to try their lunch one day.
