This catering company was at a brewery today that we were at. I am absolutely fine with ordering food with my beer. I am required to wear a face mask to be served which I also understand and abide by. The people working and serving at A and S were not wearing face masks and serving and preparing. The mandate is statewide to wear a face mask and if everyone does not abide it, it will close us all back down. Today I attended a fundraiser at the Serenity Acres Horse Ranch in Ramona. When we got there we were starving and so excited to find this BBQ stand. Coming from Ocean Beach where the infamous Phil's BBQ and The BBQ House are at my fingertips I was skeptical on trying this place. I ordered the brisket sandwhich with a side of Mac n cheese. I was so impressed on how flavorful and fantastic it all tasted. The BBQ sauce that comes on the side was amazing and I have to say was better than the above mentioned restaurants. Just delicious. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. As the other reviewers noted, the people running the business were kind, fun, made great food. They catered an event in the park in the Ramona Country Estates and incredible food. My favorites bar none were the ribs and beans, definitely my favorite BBQ'd beans I've ever eaten. My Dad, who organized the event, said the fee was very reasonable, but I have no idea what it was. I really don't care what it cost it would be worth it... DAAAAAMN! Git you some! read more

Me and my dude came across this little gem at Fort Cross while we were partaking in Fall festivities. Anthony is a master at his craft. I typically only eat my Grandfather's bbq because it's the best I've ever had; A&S is a serious contender. The pulled pork and the chicken is so juicy and tender. The meat was smoked to perfection, so moist with perfect seasoning. Potato salad, dressings and bbq sauce all their own unique and tasty creations! I have since had their food on a couple more occasions and it has consistently been amazing. Even more then good food tho, just wonderful people! A&S was a vendor at the Julian Blues festival this year so my husband and I decided to give them a try. OK, let's start by saying, their BBQ pork was very tasty, I mean really good, unfortunately my sandwich had 3 huge hunks of fat, I am talking 1/4 to a 1/3 of the meat on the bun needed to be tossed. My husband liked his sausage and his potato salad, in fact he ate mine because I hate store bought/canned food. This past weekend Anthony Andrews from A & S Catering and his family were gracious enough to cater our Easter meal. Our entire experience was wonderful. First of all Anthony answered his phone when I initially called him and was one hundred percent responsive with every text and phone call. He was always kind, gracious, and very customer focused. When discussing the menu there were so many meats and side dishes to choose from it was easy to please our pickiest guests. We ordered the brisket, chicken, green beans and bacon, bacon crusted macaroni and cheese, a garden salad, and Anthony's smoked mozzarella prosciutto rosemary and sun dried tomato cheese. Barbecue sauce, your choice of salad dressings, crackers and buns were included. Anthony and his wonderful wife delivered and set up the food just before our guests arrived so everything was ready to go. Seriously... they set everything up, we didn't have to do anything! Every bite was as good as his previous reviews. His bacon is like Easter candy but for adults. The Brisket was tender and juicy and the chicken was such high quality it melted in your mouth. The salad was over the top with different kinds of cheeses, peppers, tomatoes, and several different kinds of spring lettuce mixes. We had so much left over everyone was able to take home meals for the next several days. Thanks to Anthony and A & S Catering it was the most stress free Easter we have ever had.
