The previous owner decided to have some plants and greenery. I don't have a green thumb, nor do I want to deal with it and got rid of everything years ago. Our HOA has a huge tree (I don't know what kind it is, I just know it's annoying) growing right outside our patio and drops the worst twigs and branches. Fertilizer, trimming, thorough weeding (yay!), planting spring flowers ("Surprise me!"), sprinkler repair (they actually look for bad sprinklers on every weekly visit here), identification of problem areas and those that might become one. I don't usually write reviews but I felt the need in this case. We contacted Alex to get a quote. My fiancé and I just purchased a condo with a patio/backyard that had overgrown ivy, asparagus plants and weeds growing all over the walkway. In addition, we had a small palm tree that was just too big for our backyard and asked Alex to take out. On top of that, everything needed trimming and cleaning up. As you can see in the before picture...it was a mess. We made an appointment with Alex for him to come out and he showed up right on time with another hand ready to work. I found Alex's company on Yelp and he's a very nice guy willing to respond to all my questions in a timely manner. This morning he and his team arrived at my house on time and finished the job quickly and completely. Alex's team is so professional that I don't have to spend time giving additional requests besides what they have done. Alex brought my yard back to a very good condition after no maintenance from the previous owner for 3 months! It's so nice that Alex even replaced a sprinkler for me with no charge. Alex is a great man, landscaper, and gardener! He's been servicing our home for 5 months now and I don't think I'll ever have to look for another gardener service! He's extremely knowledgeable on plants, hoses, watering, and sprinklers! Not to mention his response time via text is quick! I needed to clean up my yard since fall has arrived and everytime I get back from work it is already very late. I hopped onto yelp and quickly found Alex. Sent him a message for a quote and he immediately replied saying he could come out to take a look and see what he has to deal with. After a few days he came out and took a look gave me a reasonable price and I said let's do it. The day of the clean up, Alex arrived but he was by himself. His employee had an emergency so he was working alone. Still, by the time he finished, he had made sure everything was nice and clean. Everything was trimmed like I requested, and he even took the time to clean up around other plants that I hadn't mentioned. We had several large limbs hanging over our fence and over the neighbors pool and he assured me that they would be extra careful and that safety and damage control would be their top priority. When requested starting the job for lawn mowing only, crews trimmed side and mowing the front and back yard. However, part of my backyard was not mowed. And crews didn't trim weeds. I met the owner discussion of tree trimming as he claimed they are professional. However, I temporarily did not need this service. After requesting mowing from bi-weekly to monthly, and I confirmed with the owner via Text with responded Yes for mowing tomorrow, no crew was shown. And I kept calling and texting to the owner. But end up no response and neglecting. Such type of service behavior is really not acceptable. Comparing my current mowing service owner who trimmed all my backyard, carefully trimmed side of yard and trimmed all weeds. Service is way better than this company read more

I really hate writing bad reviews but I also despise horrible customer service. I decided to get an estimate from this company, as it had good reviews and it was local. I was initially impressed with how quick he returned our call. I scheduled an appointment with Alex yesterday for him to give me a quote to clear the brush on my hillside. He scheduled to come the following day, which I was also impressed with, after his work by 5:30 pm, Granted I left work earlier than usual to make the appointment. Far from expectations. I located A & S via Yelp and saw all the positive reviews and figured I would utilize his services. He agreed to show up on a weds evening at 5 p for a quote and then he text me At 430 p that he wasn't going to be able to make it he was stuck on a job. Understandable stuff happens but red flag 1. Next he showed up Friday and told me he would give yard a natural look and not butcher flowerbeds. We worked out a price and he agreed he would start weekly service on Fridays. The first scheduled service on Friday he was a NO SHOW. It's drizzled in the early morning so figured maybe that's why he didn't show up hoping so. The following Friday NO SHOW again. I called and text him and Alex text me back family emergency and that was all. Ok so I tried to be understandable but this is now 3 weeks since I hired him. He finally shows up and does a typical mow blow and go. Doesn't touch flowerbeds and is gone in 15 minutes. Very POOR job. The following Friday NO SHOW once again. So my impression is Alex abandoned the job. He has horrible communication and is irresponsible. I wouldn't trust him as a weekly gardener to show up let alone do the job he promised. Look elsewhere for gardening service folks. Be aware Yelp is filled with non verified positive reviews.
