I bought a house that has a 40+ year old screen door with no keys to the lock. I called Bob to replace the lock. He was available the same day. Turns out, the lock model is no longer manufactured. However, Bob was able to find a similar looking profile lock that would fit, and it did. On top of that, Bob spent extra time and his own screws to reinforce the screen door because it was sagging. Just got a service done. Got the VIP service. Got 2 people to show up for my door issue. Kidding about the VIP service but the service was great. Appt was prompt. Came in next day (was not urgent), showed him the issue with my front door (business door) and told me a quick summary of the issue and possible outcomes. It was fast. I went back to my desk to take a call and next thing i know he was done. Bob was quick and friendly. All smiles. I like things done fast but done right. There is great value in how quickly things can get done and I was happy the issue is over with. Just call them. Why risk running into a person that will try to up charge you or charge you a mandatory $30-$50 fee just to take a look. Those people are getting paid regardless if they fix it or not. Bob came out today to change the locks on a home where our dear friend who recently passed away lived. Because one of the locks was not able to be re-keyed, he ran to the store and picked up what he needed to complete the job. He was also able to find a finish piece for the deadbolt so we do not have to repaint the front door. If you've ever been locked out, you know the drill: find every single possible way to get back in without having the neighbors call the cops. Then come to the realization that you're about to part with a hefty wad of cash just to get your day reasonably back on track. If you're lucky, you have your cell phone with you so you can call a locksmith. We called A Better Cheaper Locksmith to get us into a back room at a special event: you know, the back room where everyone left their keys, jackets, and purses. I jumped online and called the first number I could find, and I'm glad I did. Bob came out, and frankly became the hero of the evening. He was professional, quick, and didn't charge us an arm and a leg. And he is a true craftsman who clearly takes pride in his work. We also had an "opportunity" a couple of weeks later to avail ourselves of his services, and he was unfailingly polite and friendly, while maintaining a professional edge.
