We were looking for a couple of area rugs and went the usual routes, big box stores, carpet stores etc. Then found A Cut Above. Huge selection of remnants to choose from and Jeff and Craig were extremely helpful with explaining the different backing options. We needed up with 2 rugs, an 8x10 and a 6foot round. Great service and reasonably priced!!!

Custom cut rug for my new van before binding. Craig did a great job binding this odd shape and it now looks like a factory produced product

Just had an awesome experience at this place! I recently bought a new minivan to transport my two dogs. I removed all the seats in the back and cut some nice carpet to fit perfectly inside the back of the van. I also needed to have a square cut out that could be put in and out if I use the one seat I left in the van. The only thing missing was to finish the edges of the rug to look nice and prevent fraying. I Stopped by the shop and met with Craig. He was able to put a professional edge on my rug and cut out. They look great! This was not an easy job. My customer cut rug had a lot of inside corners and strange curves to fit the inside of the van. Craig was able to work around the challenges and produce a professional result. The pricing was more than reasonable as well. I'll definitely use them again in the future for any rug binding needs that may come up.

Our lovely 11x14 area rug just delivered and rolled out :)

Very happy with the quality and cut of our area rug, and for the price, can't be beat. Binding looks great, too. Highly recommend.

We were impressed with Flavia's knowledge and professionalism when she came to review the project for the estimate. She asked questions to understand our needs and wants. She patiently listened and answers our questions. During the installation, Flavia came out a few times to ensure everything was going well. She also helped find just the right transition pieces to work with the existing flooring outside the baths. The installation was a two day process. It went very smoothly and was handled in a way that caused the least amount of disruption for us. Our installer was skilled and did a great job not only with the tile, but with new baseboard and a new toilet installation in one of the baths. He was great to work with. Flavia came out one last time after the installation to ensure everything was good and that we were happy with the result. Pro Floors' cost estimate was in the middle of the three estimates we received. But, our choice was based more on our experience during the initial visit than anything else. We were not disappointed. We are very happy with the quality work and service we received, and definitely got our money's worth.

The quote process was efficient and painless. The installation team was courteous and conscientious. They made the removal of old carpet and tile painless - it was all gone in 1 morning, ready for new wood floor installation. They were able to put floor balancing material and moisture barrier the same day. They worked with us on a tricky moulding situation in our kitchen that allowed us to have a seemless look throughout our home. In one day, the team was able to install all the floors and baseboards with amazing speed - moving our washer and dryer (and replacing it too!). The final product was PERFECTLY installed. The quote matched the payment and we are very satisfied with the price and end product. We highly recommend the entire team at Pro Floors.

The contractors were excellent and everything was expertly installed. They were courteous and tolerant of my perfectionism. Carlos came by and made sure that the special work that I needed to have done was understood by the installers to make sure the transitions were exactly how I wanted them. I would recommend them and will call them in the future when I need them. We chose the Metro Spirit II carpet in Heirloom color. It was a little darker than the sample, but that worked out better for us. We chose this carpet because it is green for our grandbabies and durable for our dogs. Our dog throws up on the carpet often and we need something that would look well and clean up easily under these conditions. It is working out well for us. For the bathrooms, we chose Adura Rigid Rectangle Vienna in Alabaster. I have wanted something unique like this in my home for 5 years. I like white in my bathrooms, and the rugs get dirty too fast. They look like tile without being cold on bare feet. We also had new painted baseboards installed. This has provided a very finished look. Our friends and family comment that our house looks much more updated with this upgrade.

    * NG Flooring** I…read morerecently had the pleasure of working with NG Flooring, and my project manager, Tobias, was exceptional! From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful and truly understood the scope of the project and the timeframe I was aiming for. Given the complexities of other projects happening simultaneously, Tobias navigated everything with professionalism and clear communication. He set realistic expectations and timelines, which made the entire process much smoother. The final result exceeded my expectations--the new floors look fantastic! The team efficiently demoed the old flooring, reattached the baseboards, and even installed beautiful tile in the bathrooms. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work and the service I received. I highly recommend NG Flooring and give them a well-deserved five-star rating!

We hired Wolff Construction for a kitchen and living room remodel, and NG Floors was subcontracted…read moreto replace the flooring throughout our home. Unfortunately, the flooring portion of the project became an extremely stressful experience. Throughout the replacement project after our GC was informed of the flooring not being a product failure, Nazar (owner) was our primary and essentially only point of contact regarding the second flooring installation and follow-up work. One of the ongoing frustrations throughout the process was the lack of proactive communication and scheduling consistency. Many times, we found ourselves having to initiate contact just to understand timelines, next steps, or when work would actually resume. There were also instances where scheduling expectations were unclear or changed at the last minute, including receiving calls late on Fridays asking if crews could come work on Saturdays after we had previously understood that no weekend work was planned. That level of uncertainty became very difficult to manage while simultaneously trying to live around a major flooring replacement. After installation, the flooring began failing. What was initially presented as a product issue ultimately turned into a dispute involving the flooring manufacturer, who required a third-party inspection to determine the cause of failure. That independent inspection identified the issue as installation-related, including improper floor preparation, spacing issues, and the absence of a proper moisture barrier. What made the situation especially difficult was the amount of disruption this caused our family. Our home was left torn apart and partially unlivable for over three months during the holidays, beginning Nov. 3rd and extending well past New Year's and into February while the flooring issue was being addressed. This was not due to material shortages or product availability delays, but rather the prolonged pace of the repair process itself. Despite the actual flooring work only taking a couple of weeks to complete, we spent more than 90 days living in and out of the house while our belongings were stacked throughout the garage and much of the home was reduced to exposed concrete slab. We later learned that the flooring material installed was also of a noticeably lower quality than the original flooring product we believed was being matched as part of the initial remodel project. Even after the installation deficiencies were identified, many proposed solutions came with resistance or delays, and we ultimately had to hire an outside flooring professional at our own expense to oversee the final installation process ourselves. We also paid for hotel stays and other various costs associated with making sure the second replacement job was done to ASTM standards. To be fair, there were times communication was responsive, which is why this is not a 1-star review. However, this experience required far more time, oversight, and stress than any homeowner should reasonably expect from a professional flooring installation. During the amount of due diligence we were forced to do throughout this process, we also learned that California contractor regulations generally limit upfront deposits on home-improvement contracts to 10% or $1,000, whichever is less. In our case, substantially more than that was collected upfront. One thing this experience taught us is how important it is for homeowners to educate themselves on flooring installation standards, moisture requirements, and California contractor protections before beginning a major flooring project. Unfortunately, we trusted the process more than we should have and only learned many of these standards after problems began appearing. For anyone beginning a flooring project, we would strongly encourage reviewing: * ASTM flooring and subfloor preparation standards * Manufacturer installation requirements * California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) contract and deposit regulations We genuinely hope sharing our experience helps other homeowners avoid going through a similar situation.

The service provided by Kevin at Family Floors was by far more exceptional that we just had to go with them. Kevin spent hours pulling flooring samples and when we changed our minds and went from wood flooring to laminate, he just continued on, bringing us samples we could take home AGAIN to view. This made all the difference in the world. The other popular flooring store did NOTHING like that. He just left us to our own devices and we had to remind him to send the quote. Kevin was on top of it all, from helping us choose, getting a quote again and again, then the day of install he was here managing his guys. They had to replace all of the LVP due to warping, which I was pleasantly surprised they offered to do at no charge. Still had install issues (someone forgot to take out an old screw from the concrete and it was causing warping also) but they fixed that as well. Some problems but they took care of everything, which I'd normally give a 4 star review for however, I'm subtracting a star due to their terrible and very poorly managed scheduling department. This is how scheduling works: You call in to make an appointment, it's always voicemail. 100% of the time no matter what. A message that says "we're very busy" plays. They call you back the same day if you call before 1pm and the next day if after 1pm (though this is not always followed). If you miss their return call, which most people due because we're all adults and have jobs, they leave you a voicemail and then you have to do that over and over and over and over again until you happen to be sitting by your phone with the ringer turned on when they call. This is the dumbest system I've ever encountered and there is no possible way a flooring company could always be so busy that they can NEVER answer the phone. I mean, I can even get through to DMV before this place. It's very frustrating especially when you've already paid for a service. Four stars for install and repair. Two stars for scheduling. Three overall.
