We were off to a bit of a chaotic start but we got moving along. There were smaller children- 7 year old triplets- that led the group so we had to take it slow. I think we were a mixed group of about 18 guests. All of our tour guides were professional, knowledgeable, fun, and lighthearted people. They made absolutely sure we were all safe and having a great time. If you don't want to wait on other people and prefer a smaller group, get the private tour. There wasn't much shade but we were dressed for the heat and had plenty of water and our guides made sure we stayed hydrated. Each horse has a saddle bag for water and small personal items. Jalynn (I think that was her name) did an excellent job rounding up the group and taking charge. She knew what she was doing and how to handle her horse. Chaz and Marina were also our guides and they did a great job of us staying in line. Friendly and personable. I rode Cody and my husband rode Blue. They provided water and Gatorade. There is only one outhouse. They have Clorox wipes, toilet paper and a hand washing station with soap. (And paper towels. ) The lady at our bed and breakfast recommended this place. I hadn't seen it online and they had same day availability. We were on the 2pm tour so if you don't want to be so hot, go in the morning. Lots of dust so be prepared. read more

We had an amazing time on this trail ride, from a horse owner myself, I absolutely loved the experience from start to finish, the horses are very well cared for and trained, there western tack and saddles are very well maintained. In our group there was 10 ladies riding, some of them, this was there first time riding and some had very little riding experience, the two guides Steve and Dean were fantastic, they prioritized safety, but also made it very enjoyable, both very friendly and attentive. They matched the right horse to the riders experience level. I would highly recommended this company for trail riding, from the beautiful dessert scenery to the rugged hill terrain, it was an amazing adventure! I will definitely be coming back. read more

I actually arrived a day early just to scout the location and get a feel for what to expect, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked into the office and met Skyler, I was welcomed with a positive, professional, and genuinely warm, family-like atmosphere. We shared some laughs and jokes right away, and it was clear she truly enjoys what she does. She sets the tone perfectly for the entire experience, and it immediately made us feel like we were in great hands. That first impression carried right into what turned out to be a truly special experience for me and my twin children. Having grown up around horses, it meant a lot for me to be able to share something so meaningful with my 11-year-old twins. I was hoping to give them a memory they would carry with them for a lifetime, and thanks to this incredible team, that's exactly what happened. Delaney and Chaz, our guides, were absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, they made my kids feel comfortable, confident, and included. They treated them with respect, like young adults, taking the time to ask questions, get to know them, and guide them through the experience with patience and care. Introducing kids to such large animals can be intimidating, but their calm, positive demeanor created an environment where my children could truly relax, connect, and be present in the moment. With my kids being active in Scouts, this experience really resonated with them. By the end of the ride, you could see a genuine sense of accomplishment and pride, it was something they earned, and something they'll never forget. Watching them go from a little unsure at the start to fully immersed and absolutely loving every second was incredible. That transformation speaks volumes about the level of care and attention Delaney and Chaz bring to what they do. We also want to give a special thank you to the horses; Tommy, Carter, and Bart, who were gentle, patient, and absolutely perfect for the kids. What a beautiful trail ride! My husband and I enjoyed an hour an a half long ride along the vineyards in Cottonwood. I don't have much experience with horses and was paired with a beautiful and gentle horse named Sterling who was perfect for me due to his slow nature. My husband is much more experienced on horseback and was paired with a sweet horse named Dillon. We were led on the trail by Marina and Steve who made sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and having a great time. When the ride was over, we fed carrots to the horses and could also pet the goats and donkey nearby. All in all, it was a really fun way to spend a morning in Cottowood. read more

It was OK. It was called about 11/2 hours, was actually an hour and 18 minutes from mount to dismount, including 10 minutes for pictures I did not want. Out and back in rolling hills with nothing to see, 0 red rocks. Barely lost sight of the coral. Was sorry my partner had to use the unpleasant port-a- potty. My husband and I went out to Sedona back in October, and we had an amazing trail ride at Horsin Around Adventures! I've owned horses and been around them for most of my life, but my husband is a beginner. Our guide, David, matched each of us with a horse appropriate for our respective skill levels. My horse (Ryder) followed the softest of cues and was sure-footed and game for anything. My husband's horse, Indy, was patient, quiet, and navigated the trails happily. We selected the Premier Ride for our visit, and it was well worth it! I love that it was just the three of us, enjoying a quiet ride and casually chatting as we traversed the rocky hillsides. David knew a lot about the local flora and fauna, and it was awesome to learn more about the plants we were seeing. David was also kind enough to take some lovely sunset photos of me and my husband on horseback. It meant so much to me, as I'm usually the one taking pictures of things (and therefore never in the pictures). My only regret is not getting around to posting a review sooner!
