GIIIIINAAAAAAAAA!!!! That's my girl!!!! LOOOVE HER! Don't let her go. you have a gem. Gina loves those horses and what she does. Super knowledgeable, sweet, and it felt like I was horseback riding with an old friend. well a new one now. I'll be back soon! loved every second. Gina is so genuine. And beautiful mountain scenery! Beautiful sweet horses. I felt a little bad they had to walk that Rocky Mountain, but besides that everything was perfect. I'm a softy. You Gina!

I had THE best time with this company! They were so friendly & kind. The overall ride was 2 hours long & the views were unreal. Two hours may seem like a long time but it wasn't; it was the perfect amount of time! They take pictures for you so bring your phone if you can! They have pouches on the saddles for placement. I really enjoyed the fact they work with experienced & non-experienced riders so they are very user friendly! I will return here again!

Great escape! We really enjoyed our ride! Perfect location, even going by the ranch of our esteemed late Senator McCain! Our guide was ideal! Dean was the best!

We had an amazing time on this trail ride, from a horse owner myself, I absolutely loved the experience from start to finish, the horses are very well cared for and trained, there western tack and saddles are very well maintained. In our group there was 10 ladies riding, some of them, this was there first time riding and some had very little riding experience, the two guides Steve and Dean were fantastic, they prioritized safety, but also made it very enjoyable, both very friendly and attentive. They matched the right horse to the riders experience level. I would highly recommended this company for trail riding, from the beautiful dessert scenery to the rugged hill terrain, it was an amazing adventure! I will definitely be coming back.

Thanks again Gina... I will definitely be back!!

Chaz took us up the mountain for a sunset ride. We loved it because we are horse owners and did not have to do a head to tail. For those that ride or own horses - we'd highly recommend this outfit. Great location, nice horses and great wranglers!

We had a private sunset tour for our family of four. Chaz was a great guide and helped with our special needs child. Was a great ride through beautiful country. 10/10

I actually arrived a day early just to scout the location and get a feel for what to expect, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked into the office and met Skyler, I was welcomed with a positive, professional, and genuinely warm, family-like atmosphere. We shared some laughs and jokes right away, and it was clear she truly enjoys what she does. She sets the tone perfectly for the entire experience, and it immediately made us feel like we were in great hands. That first impression carried right into what turned out to be a truly special experience for me and my twin children. Having grown up around horses, it meant a lot for me to be able to share something so meaningful with my 11-year-old twins. I was hoping to give them a memory they would carry with them for a lifetime, and thanks to this incredible team, that's exactly what happened. Delaney and Chaz, our guides, were absolutely outstanding. From the very beginning, they made my kids feel comfortable, confident, and included. They treated them with respect, like young adults, taking the time to ask questions, get to know them, and guide them through the experience with patience and care. Introducing kids to such large animals can be intimidating, but their calm, positive demeanor created an environment where my children could truly relax, connect, and be present in the moment. With my kids being active in Scouts, this experience really resonated with them. By the end of the ride, you could see a genuine sense of accomplishment and pride, it was something they earned, and something they'll never forget. Watching them go from a little unsure at the start to fully immersed and absolutely loving every second was incredible. That transformation speaks volumes about the level of care and attention Delaney and Chaz bring to what they do. We also want to give a special thank you to the horses; Tommy, Carter, and Bart, who were gentle, patient, and absolutely perfect for the kids. We truly can't say enough about what a positive, memorable experience this was for our family. This wasn't just a trail ride, it was something much more meaningful. We're already looking forward to coming back again. From my children's voices: thank you! Yeehaw, "there is a new sheriff in town" Bobby, Gemma and Jack, the Posse!

My daughters in-law treated me to a trail ride as part of my birthday trip to Sedona. We had the privilege of riding Blue, Indy and Carl, guided by Matt. We had the BEST time, and Matt was so much fun, informative and kind. We loved our horses, too!! All the horses seem so well cared for. Matt made sure all of us had a safe ride (horses included) from start to finish. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Sedona! PS....Matt, we hope your mom is ok.

First off this place is gorgeous and the staff are incredibly friendly. Our guide named Matt was fantastic, cracking jokes and telling us history. The horses were amazing, friendly and well trained. We came for my wife's birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience!

My three teenage daughters and I were so fortunate to take a beautiful trail ride today with Chaz and Matt! None of us had ridden before and they took such care to make sure we had fun, felt safe, and connected with our horses. While there are many places to choose from, I would pick them over all others and plan to go back next time we are in Arizonia!

We had a blast on October 8th. Our tour guides Matt and Houston were great and shoutout to Marnee who helped us find our way there and waiting for us to arrive! We all had wonderful horses and my little girl felt completely comfortable on her horse. Shoutout to all of our wonderful horses: Kungfu, Carl, Sarg and Jasper Thank you for a wonderful time and great memories!

I booked a ride with my mother in law, who had no riding experience. Saara was very attentive with her to ensure she had the proper riding form and felt safe in the saddle. By the end, she was a completely different rider with Saara's help. I grew up riding, so Saara let me take the lead for much of the trail and we went at the pace we dictated. She was taking photos of us throughout and send them promptly at the end of the ride. The trails she selects have magnificent views, and you truly get to ride--not like sitting in a horse caravan with a line of riders at the big riding places. Her horses are clearly happy and well cared for, and they are alert and fun to ride. Again, nothing like the big places with worn down, overworked horses that hate what they're doing day in and day out. This is by far the best riding experience you can pick in Sedona for groups of four or less.

Having been on rote trail rides that left me feeling underwhelmed and sad for the horses, I was apprehensive. Saara put all of my anxieties at ease. She was so patient with my daughter, and did everything to ensure her first ride was was a spectacular mix of excitement & adventure, paired with calm nurturing that made her feel secure and comfortable. My daughter rode Easy, and he behaved perfectly. I rode Doodlebug and she was such a sweetheart. The trail was absolutely gorgeous with majestic views, red rocks, dips and inclines. It was just the right amount of challenge - keeping riders and horses engaged in the experience. Saara was so easy to talk to, and it felt like riding with a old friend even though we had only just met. Not only was she a fabulous guide and teacher, she also took terrific photos that we will cherish forever. I will ride with Saara again, and I hope that anyone looking for a truly unique and special Sedona experience will give her a call. An afternoon with Saara and her horses is worth every penny and then some. In fact, I'd say the afternoon was priceless.

She was flexible, accommodating, and genuinely committed to making our adventure special. I brought my two grandchildren along, and they had an absolutely wonderful time. The horses themselves were beautiful, healthy, and easy to ride--clearly well cared for and well trained. Our ride through the Prescott National Forest was nothing short of spectacular. As we followed Big Bug Creek and made our way deeper into the forest, both Phyliss and Janice shared an incredible wealth of knowledge. Their understanding of horses, combined with their deep appreciation for the area's history, made the experience unforgettable. We learned about the region's gold mining past, Native American history, early settlers, and even the geology, plant life, and wildlife that make this part of Arizona so unique. It was an education wrapped inside the best trail ride we've ever been on. Foothills Ranch offers far more than a simple horseback ride--it's a meaningful, memorable experience led by people who truly love what they do. I can't recommend it highly enough. Jim H

So glad we chose the Hat Ranch, as it suits our outdoor style to a "T". The directions in were very easy to follow, and our Toyota Tacoma picked up a beautiful red patina of Arizona dust. Sharon, our host, greeted us at the main house and then escorted us to our quarters. As this was our first time here, she took extra time explaining all about our stay, which included a home cooked breakfast today. You can Google the Historic Hat Ranch for all the cool details, but suffice to say there are some very presidentially mended fences here on the expansive 2,800 acres. Our room was very nice, twin beds and a nicely appointed bathroom. Also a spacious deck to view the open Ranch space. We opened the windows and breathed in the fresh air...scented with juniper and noble fir trees right out our door. We didn't see any, but Sharon told us Elk frequented the area often. Many other wild creatures to see too, including javelinas. The baby colt on the way in made my wife's day, and he quickly posed for some pictures and romped away. This has been a perfect cherry on the top of our anniversary Sunday. If you love the outdoors and crave a rustic Ranch experience with warm hospitality, the Hat Ranch is the place for you.
