Our wedding day happened to fall within the biggest 10 day storm in CA in 150 years (no joke), our floor plans had to be changed multiple times 2 days prior to the event due to the storm, and Dumi stuck by us the whole time. Dumi is an angel on earth and a true miracle worker! Hiring Dumi was the ABSOLUTE BEST DECISION I made in my wedding planning! I had a small elopement planned and hired her sort of later in my planning just because I wanted the day to be relaxed and run smoothly. This turned out to be the best money I spent in the whole wedding process - On the morning of the event, my HMUA (who i had done a trial with and vetted and paid in advance) no showed - then called 45 min late and said she couldn't make it and forgot to let me know or find a replacement - but offered to still come --- Two hours late! I was absolutely beside myself - Dumi went into action and SAVED THE DAY - She made the executive decision that we could not wait 2 hours - and she found a replacement HMUA that put us only 1 hour behind schedule !who was actually cheaper than my original HMUA (and actually did a better job!). She talked me through getting a refund. Needless to say the day was thrown off a bit and I was very stressed, but she stayed by my side the whole time, calmed me down as things were getting nuts, and made the whole ceremony go off and still be beautiful! She thinks of absolutely everything - and she was great moral support during the day also because I was inside feeling devastated that the relaxing beautiful day I had planned for so long had sort of become chaos because of my floozy HMUA. If you are hesitating to hire Dumi, I would say stop hesitating and just hire her. Dumi is the best. She is very organized and thinks of everything. Details that you didn't think of, she has. If you don't know how a certain detail in the wedding could be done, she gives you options. We had a small wedding and our reception was us playing board games with our guests. When I told Dumi our plans, she didn't even bat an eye at our non-traditional approach to our wedding. Other day-of-coordinators were a little bit more judgmental about what we wanted and there is no worse feeling than feeling like that idea you have for you wedding is silly. With Dumi, there was no judgement. She just asks very thoughtful questions to make sure that what you are thinking about becomes a reality. And Dumi delivered. I am a person with high anxiety but with Dumi, my wedding was very stress free. She is so trustworthy and a great advocate for the couple. If a problem does arise during the wedding, she will let you know but also tell you how she handled the problem just so that you are not surprised by any changes that may have happened while you were getting ready.
