Dumi is INCREDIBLE! She made our day so beautiful and flawless and stress free! She was so easy to work with, organized, and efficient. I loved working with her and highly recommend her for your next event.

Dumi was amazing as our day-of coordinator for our wedding! super attentive to our needs and worries leading up to our wedding. She kept us on-track and solved a lot of logistical problems and so many things we didn't even think of; seating for the wedding ceremony, timing of the music walk-out times for the groom and bride veil adjustment, catering questions, and coordinating with all the vendors on the day of and the days leading up. She masterfully handled the craziness of our two families with an even hand --firm when she needed to be, and relaxed and funny in the brief moments of calm throughout the process. Very detail oriented and organized, fast response times to all of our emails. I cannot stress enough that we could not have pulled this off without Dumi. She is first class.

Our November wedding would not have been the same without Dumi's help and expertise as our day-of-coordinator. We've corresponded via zoom calls and e-mail starting at a month before our big day. Even though we had most of our planning already done, there were still a lot of pending items and ever-changing details that we had to keep track of. Dumi helped us prioritize and address these things so that we can have a stress-free wedding day. She managed vendor communication and created a timeline that everyone referenced which is really extensive and thorough. She also successfully ran our wedding rehearsal the day before, which our friends and families really appreciated! She made sure everyone knew what they were doing and when. On our wedding day, she executed our vision perfectly. There were no details missed, and all of our guests are happy and impressed! My husband and I were also well taken care of, and we were able to do everything we planned on our big day. Thank you so much Dumi and team for bringing our ideas, wedding spreadsheets, and planning slides to life! I believe that every bride and groom should have a coordinator on their wedding day because the last thing you want to do is stress over DIY details, vendors not knowing what to do, or guests causing any trouble. None of that happened on our wedding day, thankfully, thanks to A Gordon Event. Dumi was that coordinator for us, and we highly recommend her!

This is a review for our wonderful day of coordinator, Dumi!! We reached out to Dumi several months before our wedding date and felt at ease when we had our initial consultation with her. Her professionalism and attention to detail were evident during our meetings leading up to the wedding and during the rehearsal, but really shined during our wedding day. Everything ran so smoothly, from the weeks leading up to the wedding, the rehearsal, and throughout the actual wedding day. My partner and I reflected on how much fun and carefree our wedding was, and it was all due to Dumi's wonderful and thoughtful work planning and coordination behind the scenes. She is an excellent communicator and quickly resolved any questions that our multitude of vendors had. Our friends, grooms people, and family felt that she did a wonderful job. I would highly, highly, highly recommend Dumi to be your wedding coordinator and will be recommending her to my friends. Thanks so much Dumi!

Dumi was a dream to work with! I got engaged and set a wedding date that was within 9 months (we wanted to accommodate family schedules, etc). Given that I manage projects all the time at work, I thought it would not be a problem to coordinate my own wedding. Well, I found out very quickly that that was not the case. A few months after setting the wedding date - I started scrambling around to find at the very least a month of coordinator. Dumi was among the first few people that I reached out to and she was definitely the first to respond. We set up an introductory call with her and knew instantly that we wanted to hire her for partial planning services. She is beyond professional, keeps very detailed notes, and clearly knows what she is doing. We had no idea we had to lock down certain vendors ASAP and would have been lost without her. Dumi also has a great portfolio of other wedding vendors that she has worked with, and her recommendations were top notch. I now realize how important it is to have a professional help with your wedding and I cannot recommend Dumi enough. I was completely relaxed the month up to the wedding knowing that I was in good hands. Our day was beautiful and went without a hitch (at least none that I am aware of, which speaks volumes of Dumi and her team!). You will 10000% not regret hiring A Gordon Event for your wedding!

Dumi and the entire A Gordon Event team were nothing short of magical for our March 2024 wedding. From our first consultation, Dumi's thoroughness and attention to detail left me almost speechless (which is hard do with a Type A bride like myself). You can definitely tell she knows what she's doing when you have no follow up questions! I knew it would take a specific personality to be able to corral our bridal party and I was impressed that this team was able to do so with such ease. Our wedding day went off without any hiccups (or at least none that I knew about) which only further highlights how much hard work was going on behind the scenes. I could go on forever about how grateful my husband and I to the A Gordon Event team, but I will just say that hiring them was the best decision we ever made and our wedding wouldn't have been as smooth without them!

Do yourself a big favor. Stop your wedding planning/ coordination search and just hire Dumi right now. You will NOT regret it. Dumi was my day-of wedding coordinator for my wedding on 10/15/22 and the day could not have gone more smoothly. I literally would not change a single thing about my wedding day and Dumi and her team are to thank. Dumi was the first to get back to me out of the five coordinators I reached out to and that level of responsiveness and enthusiasm locked me in. Her level of responsiveness and enthusiasm never diminished. She never once left me hanging and she brought great energy to every meeting, the rehearsal, and the day of. What I appreciated most about Dumi is her confidence. Any time I had a question, she let me know what she's found to work best from her experience. This made planning very straightforward for me with very little second guessing. Her confidence kept me in reality and on budget. Her confidence allowed us to have an efficient, effective rehearsal and therefore a super fun rehearsal dinner. Her confidence commanded respect from my vendors. Her confidence never overshadowed my needs or dreams. Her confidence gave me confidence in my choices and in letting go on my big day. If you need any more convincing, I'll tell you that Dumi STOPPED TRAFFIC in the middle of downtown San Francisco so that my photographer could get an epic shot of my husband and I in the street. That sums up Dumi as a wedding coordinator. She ensures that your day is YOUR day and do whatever it takes. I cannot thank Dumi enough for all of her hard work and dedication. I was told by multiple wedding guests that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Thank you, Dumi! You are beyond amazing at what you do.

If you need someone to handle all the little details for your wedding, Dumi is your person! Dumi thinks of absolutely everything and anything along the way. I was so grateful to work with her the month before my wedding to nail down logistics and final planning. On the day of, I didn't have to worry about a thing because Dumi had it handled in every way. Thank you so much Dumi!

Working with A Gordon Event was the best decision! From the very beginning, Dumi knew exactly what we needed to do at every step of the way. She always gave us the creative freedom to explore ideas while ensuring we stayed on track. She went above and beyond in every single interaction. Her connections made everything so much easier. Not having to research and find florists, bakers, DJs, photographers, and wait staff simplified so much of our decision making. I would recommend A Gordon Event to everyone!

    Shay M.

My wedding was 2/18/23 and it was absolutely PERFECT! WE LOVE DUMI! She went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly! I really appreciated how thorough and responsive she was from the moment I hired her about 6 months out from my wedding. Even though she was hired for day of coordination, she was very helpful and did everything she could to make sure the day went perfectly. Even designing my wedding venue with all my decor on the day before the wedding after our wedding ceremony rehearsal. The whole process went so smooth, we were really in sync and she made it a priority to know my vision exactly! I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator to help me make all my wedding dreams come true. I'm sad the wedding is now over and we can't work together anymore. We definitely recommend Dumi for all your wedding coordination needs, you won't regret it!!

I can't say enough good things about Dumi - she was so kind, funny, communicative, a great listener, a lifesaver at many times, and made sure our big day was a complete success. Our wedding would not have been as amazing and perfect without her and Brandin there. She made sure we got to do everything we wanted to make our day special. I have no idea how she can manage to make a 160 person wedding run so smoothly but she made it look easy - it brought me so much peace of mind knowing she was there. Some memorable moments for me are that while I was busy on my wedding morning Dumi made sure everything was in place and reported back to me what was happening/being set up so I never felt out of the loop. Then I realized I forgot silver sharpies for the guest book and out of nowhere she pulls out exactly what we needed from her fanny pack!! She is always one step ahead. Dumi also made sure my pictures were on point and had the idea to throw my veil to make it look like it was blowing in the wind - she literally thinks of everything. She was not only my coordinator but also my bestie for the day. If there is anyone you can trust to bring your vision to life during your wedding, it's Dumi. You would be so lucky to have her by your side!!!

Dumi WAS THE MVP of our wedding! All we had to do was show up and enjoy our wedding day. I never looked at a clock or had to remember what was next on the timeline. Dumi handled it all. I was able to be fully present day of my wedding with my husband and my guests. Where other vendors fell short Dumi stepped in and did other people job behind the scenes! I didn't even know until after. She is able to adjust quickly when things don't go as planned. We were supposed to have live musicians during our Mocktail hour and they didn't show up. So she pivoted and had our DJ set up music for our guest instead. She's a great problem solver. I fully trusted her decision day of if things needed to be changed. She communicated with every vendor when and where they needed to be. Dumi is very well organized. She set up our seating chart, put on our cake topper and so much more (pictures are shown below). She's was a calming presence throughout the day and never seemed stressed. Dumi is great at what she does! Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made to ensure our day ran so perfectly, and it did!

If you're thinking of hiring a wedding coordinator, LOOK NO FURTHER. Dumi is everything I could have asked for and more. Having Dumi as our coordinator was the BEST decision my husband and I could have made. From the beginning, Dumi was extremely responsive and professional. We had a zoom call early on in the planning process and Dumi helped me tie up so many loose ends and helped me with questions I wouldn't have even thought to ask my vendors. She completely took the time to read through my contracts and was so meticulous in ensuring all communication among vendors was clear and concise. Dumi attended a venue walkthrough with me and my husband and created the most amazing timeline for the day of my wedding to keep our day running smooth. Two days before my wedding my videographer fell through due to Covid. Dumi was ON IT and helped me find many qualified videographers within my budget literally within hours. She literally came to my rescue and helped me stay calm and stress free. On the day of the wedding, Dumi was so helpful with keeping our wedding party on schedule. She planned our first look so beautifully. She was there to address every need and issue that came up on the day and literally left me stress free and able to enjoy every moment of my wedding day. Dumi was quick to come up with solutions for problems that arose during the day and put out mini fires that I had no idea about. I feel eternally grateful for A Gordon Event for making my wedding day one to remember forever.

We worked with Amazae from the moment we knew we wanted to get married (before we got engaged,…read moretechnically. Ha). Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True. As a designer myself, I had a good idea of what I wanted my wedding mandap to look like. I also knew I wanted a larger mandap, which is sometimes hard to come by. Satvir was open to feedback and had a large rustic 10x12 mandap her team had built. It had nice large wooden beams and worked perfectly with our venue. I wanted bright florals that felt full and satvir delivered. I was very happy with how the final product turned out. She also dealt with all the crazy SF rules including zip tying all the chairs together and getting the fire permit which was required by the city. This was such a stress relief for us since we didn't know how to handle all the rules and regulations. In addition, something I really value about Satvir's approach is how she reuses florals. It pains me to see how much flowers are wasted at weddings, and I wanted a more sustainable approach. The florals from our mandap were reused for our reception and satvir touched them up and made them look beautiful. None of our guests even noticed they were the same florals. I loved the fact that we didn't waste flowers and everything was gorgeous. She also managed to do this in a very tight timeline and killed it!! Highly recommend satvir, you will not regret it.

We were incredibly impressed by the final products. Many of our guests and family members had highly complementary things to say about the decor for our event.

When it came to my overall floral aesthetic, i didnt know where to begin. Everything on Pinterest looked so beautiful. I sent Vicky my mood board and let her take the wheel - let me tell you, she 100% delivered. We discussed my budget and decided that silk flowers would be the best choice. I was a little hesitant and afraid it would look cheap, but it was the absolute opposite! Dont get me wrong, of course up close you can tell they aren't real. But you can tell her product is of great quality. When i looked at my venue in whole, i couldnt even tell. The florals photographed so beautifully! Im glad i trusted her with the decision to go this route to save me a pretty penny. Vicky was able to work within my budget to bring my vision into reality. I cant be more grateful of the turn out. Just got my sneak peeks in and im swooning over how everything looks.

I debated writing this review, but I felt compelled to share our experience. This review is not to…read moreslander Queen Bridals in any way, but to offer honest feedback that may encourage some reflection. Like many couples, we approached our wedding with excitement. A friend referred us to Vicky, and we didn't think twice. In hindsight, perhaps we should have done more research, but we are easygoing people. We communicated our vision, gave Vicky creative freedom, and trusted her as a professional. We weren't difficult. We asked for something simple, elegant, and meaningful. Instead, we experienced stress, embarrassment, and disappointment. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Vicky voiced concerns that our venue, Koi Palace, was too small. We reassured her we had attended several beautiful weddings there ourselves, space doesn't seem to be an issue. While she eventually said she'd make it work, her lingering doubt was noticeable. On the day of the wedding, I arrived at the venue at 5:20 PM and found our guests waiting outside due to the venue not being ready. Inside, I observed Vicky and her team still working and did not wrap up until 6:00 PM, the scheduled start time of our reception. Later, Vicky insisted she had finished by 5:30 PM and had time to mingle with our vendors, but that version didn't align with what I witnessed or what our vendors shared. The most heartbreaking part came when my wife and I stood before the photo backdrop to take pictures with our guests. Instead of our correct monogram, the backdrop displayed the letters "V & A," despite my wife's name starting with a "J". Our guests noticed and pointed it out. We were stunned. To us, this wasn't a minor mistake, it was a glaring and deeply embarrassing moment. We ended up removing the initials ourselves. Even then, we didn't lash out. We waited, hoping Vicky might follow up to ask how the day went. She didn't. Two days later, I reached out and met with Vicky in person. I calmly asked how she thought the event went. She indicated everything went great and didn't recall any issues. When I showed her a photo of the incorrect initials, she looked at it without immediately recognizing the mistake. Only after I pointed it out did she acknowledged it and offered to Photoshop the images as a solution. That moment was disheartening. It showed a lack of understanding of what her role meant to us. This wasn't about a photo, it was about how we felt in a moment that can't be edited. It was about getting the basics right on a day that only happens once. After expressing our disappointment, we asked Vicky for a 30 percent refund. Not out of spite or anger, but because we truly felt the value of the service fell short of what was promised. The emotional weight of her error left an unsavory impact throughout our evening. We didn't demand the refund on the spot. I encouraged her to sleep on it and consider our perspective, to put herself in our shoes. She appreciated how non-confrontational we were and ultimately verbally agreed to the refund via Zelle. Three days went by. Nothing. I followed up with a message. No response. Eventually, Vicky replied and asked to speak. During our conversation, she reversed course and said she no longer felt the refund was warranted. She maintained the decor had been finished well before 6:00 PM and sent us a video of guests taking their seats at 6:01 PM, which only confirmed she or her team were still at the venue at that time. Technically, she completed the decor by the start time, which falls within the contract, and while we shared our plans for pre-reception desserts and snacks, we cannot fault her for that aspect. As for the wrong initials, to her credit, Vicky was apologetic to some degree and acknowledged the error, but indicated a 30 percent refund was unrealistic. I explained again this wasn't about a backdrop, it was about my wife being displayed by the wrong name, in front of everyone, on her wedding day. It was about the emotional toll and the lapse in attention to detail, especially when Vicky had worked almost exclusively with my wife during planning. How that mistake happened is still beyond me. Candidly, Vicky admitted to mixing up my wife's name with another bride. In the end, Vicky refunded 7.5 percent, stating since we removed the initials, it didn't technically ruin the wedding. No, it didn't ruin the wedding. But it undoubtedly affected how we felt. It cast a shadow over the night. It made us feel discounted, dismissed, and ultimately shorted of a service we were counting on. I believe Vicky put effort into her work. I believe she cares to a point. But her unwillingness to follow through on her word or genuinely consider the emotional impact of her mistake left us deeply disappointed. Mistakes happen, but how you respond to them matters just as much as the service you provide.

We had the pleasure of working with Asiel Design for their design services!…read more Leading up to the wedding, Linnae was proactive about scheduling times to meet and learn more about us as a couple and what we envisioned for our wedding day. For our first in-person meeting, we came prepared with slide decks with detailed inspirations on what we were hoping to execute. We appreciated Linnae's in-depth knowledge and her advice to help us stay within budget, while still staying true to overall aesthetic. On the day of the wedding, Jennifer and the rest of the team were so great to work with! There wasn't ever an uneasy feeling due to their constant communication with our coordinators. During the reveal, I couldn't help but to cry tears of joy because everything was SO BEAUTIFUL. What started out as just a vision and some inspo pics became something so beautiful that surpassed all of our expectations. We are so grateful for Linnae, Jennifer, and the rest of the team's hard work and we can't thank them enough!!! I recently found my wedding venue and on their preferred vendors list was Asiel. I immediately came…read moreacross this gorgeous picture of a dark, sultry setting with candles and wrought iron gates and was mesmerized. I see it on Pinterest often and had to reach out and see how much this beautiful setup could be. I expected expensive but hoped to be surprised. I was shocked. I only inquired about the main draw of the photos for me. The entry gate, the iron arch, and the aisle candles. Meg was superbly friendly and delivered an estimate covering what I had asked for. The estimate was completely disheartening. Since I'm sure there are many others who are curious how much this look costs, I will share what I was quoted. Entry gates when you walk in- $450 Iron arch in front of fireplace- $750 12 clusters of floating candles in cylinders- $540 if displayed in clusters. Otherwise $10 each individual like displayed in photo ($45 for each cluster) New/refresh candles for cylinders to use as table centerpiece ($72 for 12 new candles) Delivery- $495 Installation- $575 Transfer (from ceremony to reception) -$295 Pick-up $325 Plus tax. This comes out to roughly $4,000 and still doesn't include curtain, tall candle holding pieces, and flowers. They have exclusive florists as well (probably them I'm assuming) so who knows how much that would end up being. Beautiful, but not at all reasonable. My guess with flowers and the other candle holders and curtains puts this look in the 10k region. Too bad. I love this look so so much, but to charge $1,690 for delivery/install/pick-up is just crazy. Granted they are coming from San Jose... but still. Can I just set it up myself?? I'm very curious to see wedding photos of this look to see if a 10k 30 minute ceremony is worth it. Just hard for me to imagine because I haven't seen any photos of someone actually using this look yet. Hopefully someday someone can afford it and post online. My rating is three stars because it's a fair enough company. Their philosophy states that the price tag reflects the "value" of their services that have been around for 20 years. Meg was also kind and took the time to build me an estimate which was much appreciated. The main downfall of this company is that I can't afford it. If you can, I'd recommend giving them a shot. If their professional photos reflect their actual work I'd say they are worth it. Till then... I'm still looking.
