Barely serviceable meal. Placed a large order, about five entrees and several appetizers. Everything was seriously disappointing. The green curry and the massaman curry were very watered down and didn't taste fresh. The beef in the massaman curry was sparse and barely edible - the consistency was like tough leather. The eggplant was tough in texture and the visible blemishes and bruises on the outside of the large chunks made it clear that they were old. I ordered the two unique noodle dishes, both of them were made with spaghetti that was very overcooked. Flavor was not very good on either. The fried fish in one of the dishes was burnt, just fried beyond all recognition - deep fried greasy leather chunks. The crab fried rice was the best dish because it was the least offensive, albeit very bland. The veggie roll appetizer and the crab and shrimp rolls both just tasted like greasy fried chucks, no single flavor stood out and the consistency of the fillings was mush. A long time ago I had a good experience here, but the food has gone considerably downhill. Highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

This bakery / café / bar is a nice addition to the Kingston-Throop area, and women-owned businesses need our support. Food: Delicious and well-portioned, though pricey compared to most local digs. Drinks: Yummy coffee, a good selection of beer on tap and menu items you don't see every day (a jelly sake drink?) Service: The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. They chat with every customer who walks in, yet somehow remembered my name on visit number two (!!) Atmosphere: There's a strong jazz theme in the decor, from piano keys along the bar to clef notes on doors and a funky trumpet-faucet in the bathroom. The playlist tends to skew '90s Hip Hop and early 2000s girlpop though, which is toootally fine. I love jazz though, so I would probably be their #1 customer if they introduced live music or even a record player with classic tracks... But, that's a lot to ask of a new business. This review is based on an UberEats purchase. I read the yelp reviews which were not so great but I decided to make a purchase anyway. It was a complete waste of $43.00. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, it was dry and lacked taste. The shrimp was rubbery with even less taste. I also ordered the Lucky Piggy which was spicy, rubbery and tasteless. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and the Matcha brownie. Both tasted good my only complaint is the size of the brownie. It was very small. Please don't waste your money. read more

I've been here twice now. First time was a few weeks after it opened. I was skeptical because I just came back from a trip to Thailand and after eating fresh authentic Thai food I wasn't sure if this place would live up to what my taste buds grew accustomed to. I was pleasantly surprised after I took my first bite of the shrimp pineapple fried rice. It literally transported me back to Thailand because the rice was moist, flavors were fresh and very authentic. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, it had roasted cashews that added the perfect crunch, and the portion size was perfect. My boyfriend had the pad thai which was good but the noodles were not as fresh. Fast forward a few months and I came back on a regular Monday night for another taste of the pineapple fried rice. This time it wasn't as good. I came about an hour before the kitchen closed so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it. The rice was a bit dry and the flavors just didn't blend the way it did the first time. It was still good but not like the first time. We also tried a few apps . The chicken wings were delicious. The calamari is good but nothing to write home about. The rosemary French fries were perfect. Very crispy and evenly cooked with a rosemary salt seasoning lightly sprinkled on top. The place was decorated nicely with nice artwork on the walls and a black and white movie playing on the back wall. The music was also the perfect addition to the vibe. The best part was the fact that the prices are very reasonable. We are always pleasantly surprised by the bill when we get it. I would have given a five star if the food had been more consistent. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious Thai food. I would recommend going earlier in the evening for more consistent flavors. read more

After, ordering my traditional large "Dirty Pumpkin" latte and "Up to me Croissant"w/crispy bacon and delicious kale green side salad, my eyes were immediately drawn to a beautiful dessert called "Banoffee"! I work near this place and I always see it crowded and many of my co workers eat here and have their drinks. I finally went and tried their food it was really good especially the salmon yummy. The tea is also flavorful and delicious very good for a hot day. I would definitely recommend agusto... The ambiance is nice and peaceful. I have eaten from A Gusto twice in the past, but my last encounter with them was very disappointing. My very first encounter with this place was very good. The service and the food was good. I had no complaints. My second visit, was take out and once again the food was good. My third and LAST encounter which was on the night of 01/24/18, was NOT good at all. My friend and I were the only individuals in the place and it was very COLD in there. We ordered an appetizer of veggie spring roll and our main dish. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp w/o eggs and my friend ordered the jumbo crispy shrimp pad thai with cashews. We waited 20-25 minutes to get the appetizer. When we received the veggie spring rolls, the waitress came over and informed us the kitchen will be closing shortly and if we wanted anything else, we should order now. We kindly declined and waited another 20-25 minutes before we received our food. When I received my meal, my shrimp was cold and my rice was warm, not hot! I did not enjoy my dish. My friend as well did not enjoy his shrimp pad thai. But we decided to keep our meals due to the lady prior telling us the kitchen is closing. We both agreed that we should've stuck to what we had ordered in the past. We received our bill and the bill was paid in full. However no tip was left due to us not liking the food and waiting a long time for our food. When we were exiting the place, a lady from behind the counter yelled to my friend and said "Excuse me sir, tip is not included in the bill, where is the tip!" (VERY RUDE!!) He kindly turned around and informed the lady he nor I enjoyed our meal and could not change it because of the kitchen being closed. I got the pad see iew lunch special and was not disappointed! The flavors were really nice, it came out in a good amount of time, and even for the lunch special it was a really big portion size! The clear soup it came with was also really nice and tasty. One of the best parts was the atmosphere in there- they have really comfortable indoor seating, and they also have a pretty big outdoor seating area out back. They have a really good sized menu, so there's lots of things to try. They also have a dessert menu, but they didn't have every item available when we went. I got the regular brownie, and it was good but nothing super special about it. The only thing that was kinda "meh" was that our drinks took a while to get (sodas) then the two lunch special sides came out right before we got the main dish, so there wasn't much time in between to eat that.
