Disappointed. FOR CLARIFICATION: **Owner commented on my review saying I've "wronged the company" but I'm always truthful and Tara is the one who was my massage therapist . She's claiming I did a mobile massage but I was waiting in the parking lot at A Heavenly Massage in Kapa'a by the burger joint.** Sad to see this kind of response. I was really looking forward to my massage but it didn't turn out great at all. :( My massage was scheduled for 9:30am and my therapist was 45 minutes late. I started to call other massage places but they didn't have any openings so I waited until my massage therapist arrived. When my therapist finally arrived, she seemed distracted and it was showing. She didn't give good customer service but it wasn't bad. She didn't talk in a calming way how most therapists do. Her tone was very plain and seemed uninterested. Overall she seemed rushed and distracted. She felt bad she was late and gave me $10 off my massage and apologized. I came to massage with Tara. Told her I have lot of pain in my upper arm, calf and butt and wanted massage in those spots in particular. She gave me a really good back massage, she actually found pain spots which I didn't even know existed.. but the massage on the actua pain points was super short and did not even address the actual pain points on calf, upper arm or butt. Was disappointed with that, she did a lot of general light handed oil massage which was not that helpful. Kept guiding her to where I have pain, but didn't help. Price was good in comparison to rest of the island. And she added coconut oil to my hair and didn't even tell me!! read more

Her massage room is a bit of a dump but if she tried harder and showed a little interest in her job as a masseuse I would not have cared. She was cold and distant. Staring off into space the entire time. I don't know what she was thinking about during the massage but it certainly wasn't me. Excellent massage and really inexpensive pricing since $90 for 90 min is a steal in Kauai...or anywhere for that matter. It was great to completely relax after riding a beach cruiser around the island for a couple hours. Keep in mind there's only one practitioner so services are back to back but I've never been a fan of couple's massage anyways. I called Saturday for an appointment the next day and Tara was sweet to accommodate us. 1 hour massage $75, 1.5 hour $105... such a great deal! The facility is not fancy but the price and service is great. Tara worked on my husband and he was pleased. Michael the other massage therapist did an awesome job with relaxing my tensions. I got a great medium pressure massage from Tara. Before the massage, she asked which areas i wanted her to focus on. During the massage, she definitely focused on these areas which i appreciate. My muscles definitely feel more relaxed after getting her massage. My only complaint is that i was not wiped down with warm towels after the massage leaving my entire body extremelt oily. When i sat in the car, everything i touched had oil on it. Its been a couple hours after my amssage and my arms and legs are still drenched in oil. Tara is easy to schedule, accommodating and a nice therepist. She is great with relaxing massages. She can go deep but she is surely not a pure at deep tissue. So if you are looking for a relaxing massage she will do amazing. If you are looking for sports/deep tissue massage she will not be able to fully help you. She did good strokes on my neck when I was facing up but when I was on my back the massage was a bit frustrating for me as I liked deep pressure and it was light pressure and relaxing. I will say her pressure level is between 5-6. So someone who likes that kind is massage might rate her much higher and even 5 stars. I am rating her lower as I had asked her before coming in if she could do deep tissue and she said she can work on it. So it was disappointing for me. But please see her is she meets your needs. Tara was great. I was lucky enough to find her driving in front of me and her information was on the rear window. She did not have any yelp reviews, but I decided to give her a try. I was busy on excursions and set it all up via email. She was very responsive and accommodating. She showed up at my hotel, set up her table and began the massage on time. (I think she usually works out of her location but I was really close and it was a holiday) I did ask for deep tissue. I had really bad kinks and knots in my shoulder/neck area. I had been contemplating going to a chiropractor when I returned home because I felt so out of wack. I know a lot of people would prefer a male for deep tissue, but she really used her arms/elbows(?) to get in there very deep and strong. She was able to get the job done.
