I have been using YardDoc for 6 years. Started with yard and pool maintenance for a couple of short-term rentals and then expanded to pest control and a couple of home repairs. Then for the past year, YardDoc has been going the extra mile by not only fixing up a pool construction project that another contractor poorly handled but they also performed high-level and comprehensive audits on irrigation, and had all the knowledge and expertise required to get our system up to compliance. All of their staff members are very professional, friendly, courteous, communicate frequently, make themselves available for their clients, and most of all: they are extremely trustworthy. If YardDoc can't do it, they'll gladly refer other local businesses and experts that will often times offer you discount on the referral and collaborate with YardDoc to ensure that your project is completed as per your request and needs. This company fires up its gas blowers in my neighborhood as early as 7:00 AM, which is incredibly disruptive. Once a week, we are woken up by the loud noise, which continues for nearly an hour. I had some sympathy for the workers when they started doing this last summer, figuring they were trying to beat the heat, but it has gone on throughout the year. It is so rude and disrespectful to the residents who are sleeping, trying to get their kids off to school, etc. I can't speak much to the quality of their landscaping, but based on the relentless noise, it seems most of their effort goes into blowing debris. Based on how the company seems more focused on making money than on how they treat people, I'd be concerned about their priorities and long-term integrity. read more

We have been loyal customers of Yard Doc for years. They take care of our pool on a weekly basis. We love our "pool guy" Seth!! He is a pleasure to work with, very knowledgable about pools and just an all around awesome human being. If there is ever anything that needs to be fixed Seth is always quick to respond. Before this recent freeze I received an email from yard doc saying they were available to help prepare our plants and outdoor equipment. They sent a handyman to the house to make sure my water softener and plants were winter ready! I even got to meet the owners who came to check on my water softener winterization. Wow. What great service! Jeffrey is absolutely the best. We had damage from the winter storm to our pool. My husband was out of town and I called Jeffrey when my pool pipes burst. He found a way to get to my house when the roads were still treacherous. He was able to stop the leak and then came back to fix the pipes. Our pool heater also went out. Everywhere we checked they were out of stock, but the Pooldoc team found one. Jeffrey was back out a couple days later to install it. We thought it would take weeks. Excellent company for landscaping projects. Staff are very knowledgeable about native plants in the Austin area. It was a sizeable project since we re-landscaped our entire front yard and part of the back yard. Mike laid out a great selection of plants that are freeze and drought resistant. Lance executed the plan perfectly by handling the installation. I didn't need to micromanage because the upfront communication was very good and coordinated. I like their organic approach to fertilization, etc. They coached very well after the installation on how to maintain the plants in the short term and long term. Had to cancel because they were charging me when no one came and the yard was still a mess with weeds after being serviced by them for a year. I was moved to them from another company who could t keep up with the demand. I had service once every three months, but Yarddoc moved me to a monthly service charging me even more. One some of these visits, no one showed up. They even admitted that no one did show up a few times, yet it kept happening. read more

We tried LAWN & POOL service. Both services started out good, but then went horribly wrong. LAWN SERVICE: Communication is not their strong suit. They said service would be every 2 weeks in the summer on tuesdays. Lawn crew started showing up on other random days of the week. We have a fenced in property because of horses and dogs. So, when the gate opens, and we are not planning on it...all the animals get out and run around the neighborhood. When we know someone is coming to the house the dogs and horses are put away, so everyone remains safe. This one particular "RANDOM" service day the lawn crew proceeded to CHOP & HACK all the bushes right down to the ground and let the dogs out. This was not trimming, and as a result all the bushes along the driveway were killed and have still not come back to life. We fired the lawn service because of the plant massacre and the crew letting the dogs out, because they did not communicate with us that they were changing the service day. POOL SERVICE: Pool service started out good also. They tried their best to fix our autofill system week after week, but they were never able to get it working correctly. In the 6 months we had service with them they had 4 different pool techs, because people would quit the company. The latest "new guy" did not close the gate behind him when he came for our weekly service. As a result, our Arabian Horse ran out of the gate. We spent the next 6 hours trying to find the horse and get him home safely. As a result, the horse received some injuries and had a $2,500 vet and ferrier bill to show for it. Adrian is YardDoc owner processed to blame us for his new guy leaving the gate open and letting the horse out. Even though, we have signs on the gate telling everyone to close the gate because of the horses and letting the animals out was the same reason the Lawn service was cancelled. Adrian also would not cover the vet and ferrier bill AND demanded that we pay for that weekly service as well. WE WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND WANT TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE TO WARN OTHERS OF THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. read more

I have quite a long list of to-do's on our 5 yr old house and yard, and I learned about YardDoc thru our community chat - they were getting great word-of-mouth referrals. They have lifted our kitchen vent-a-hood, repaired a large hole in a wall from a leak, trimmed some trees, replaced soil in the flowerbeds w/gravel & lined them w/lovely river rock, ringed our trees w/Whitestone bricks, and I'll be calling them back for several more projects! I am the proverbial "mosquito magnet"! had been using a spraying system that provided marginal, short term results but don't have bushes or any foliage in the back yard of our new home so couldn't find anything that works. We switched to YardDoc for getting rid of our mosquitoes and the results with their mosquito baiting system have been great. The team is punctual and knowledgeable. Yard Docs refunded me some monies for the trouble and I was informed they provided education and instruction to improve their pool service. I realize that one's business reputation rests on the employees who provide the service but when issues occur, how the company/owner deals with it can make or break the business relationship going forward. What happened, happened and I hope the less than stellar poolmservice I received has made it better for others. Yarddoc did a great job repairing our pool equipment which was badly damaged by the February freeze.  We called 10 or more companies right away but few called us back or had access to parts.  Jeffrey with Yarddoc came out, diagnosed the problems, formulated and executed an excellent repair plan including replacing all the valves, lots of pvc, heater, actuator, and a pump.   All in less than a week in spite of challenges finding parts and inclement weather.  He was able to pressure test our buried flow lines so we could be sure that our pool once filled would hold water again.   A real genius at pool repair,  we very highly recommend Jeffrey and the  company Yarddoc. read more

Jeff asked for pictures, did a preliminary evaluation, scheduled a visit, gave us his estimate and started the repair with in a few days. They offer a 100% environmentally friendly solution and also a mosquito approach that only targets mosquitoes, so no harm to the bees or other insects. I have used Yard Doc for Pool Maintenance. Although the pool was kept clean it was a company that just came to add chemicals and for the very expensive rates they charge you should be more worry free (Specially when you have a pool for the first time) and they should be keeping an eye on the overall pool system and alert you for other maintenance issues and keep your expenses to a minimum because you are aware of the issue ahead of time. I felt that they are always trying to find a way to suck more money from you which makes me very unpleased with them. In addition, we had a couple of issues with the pool and their reports from the visits were inaccurate and made us spend more money without needing, which makes me not trusting them. I have learned more about pool maintenance when I was using their services than without... Not pleased. I would not recommend Yard Doc. read more
