    Iced latte

I love this cute little cafe. They have great coffee, brew the espresso right in front of you. Their bagels are also really good. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options as well. The workers are always so nice and such hard workers. Go support this business!

coffee and vinyl..great combo! They're only serving pastries at this location, so I need to go to the Frankford to get a taste of their sandos.

From my TooGoodToGo, , Pastry slightly buttered inside is nice. 3 pastries total. Thought deal should've been cheaper for this. Typical cafe serving neighborhood. The cafe is next to an apartment building. It is easy to miss the cafe because it is on a side street and its entrance is not on Coral St as that is part of its address. Staff very friendly here. Felt they could tell I was not local to the neighborhood and possibly they get the same few-ish TooGoodToGo regulars .

Working in the area this week, I was so happy to pop coffee into Yelp and find this place only two blocks away. I have already tried a lot- Pistachio latte, chai, pour over, iced coffee, and espresso, as well as the delicious pastries from Au Fornil bakery. Love the blueberry tarte and coffee cake. The baristas are all super friendly, and when I came around closing time, they still helped me out, going above and beyond. When I look for a local coffee shop, I make a checklist of things I need, and this place checks off everything: Friendly staff, free water, comfy seating, good pastries, and proximity. They also have a lil merch section with prints, shirts, hats etc for local appeal. Love the addition to the area, and so happy to find my new favorite coffee shop!

Great new spot that just opened this week! Forin cafe is in the Milk Bottle apartment building, with its own entrance off Dreer Street. A relatively unmarked door, look for a symbol on the door. I am very impressed with the cafe. On a hot July day, I went straight for the cold brew. No kidding, it's the best cold brew I've ever had. Absolutely hit the spot. Forin also has a limited selection of locally sourced pastries. Today, they had plain croissants, and ham and cheese croissant, brownies, cookies, and Kismet bagels. And the service! We came in to check it out since we live nearby, and it happens to be my daughters 1st birthday. As we were leaving, they brought her a cookie as a special birthday treat! We're so happy to welcome Forin to the neighborhood and will be by a lot. I'm also excited for the upstairs seating area - it was spacious and quiet (great soundproofing from the counter) and looks like a great spot to get some work done.

I tried the bergamot latte and it's so refreshing! I've never had this flavor anywhere else which makes this cafe a little different from others. It can be quite small and there's an upstairs with a couple tables. I've seen that they used to have more seating in the past but half the space is a vinyl store, so it can be difficult to find seating. The barista was so friendly and welcoming too!

Such a beautiful space. It's located in the harbison dairy apartment building so can be a little confusing to find if you're not familiar with the area. The coffee is incredible. I get the pistachio latte and normal vanilla latte and they are delicious. Haven't tried any of the pastries yet because they are usually sold out but that's a good sign! They have outdoor seating and indoor in a loft area.

    Beetroot latte
    Alexandra V.

Loved everything about this cafe! They had many different latte flavors. I tried the beet root latte dirty. They have a nice area to sit inside or outside. The space itself was cozy, seeming to be apart of an old factory building, giving loft vibes. The staff were incredibly friendly! I would recommend this cafe to anyone in Philly for a cup of joe.

Great staff, really good lattes, and a lovely chill space upstairs to work and periodically stretch your legs and check out the vinyl.

Service was good and the coffee tasted nice. It is a small shop but just enough plus there is a record store on the 2nd floor.

I got an Ube latte (hot) but I wish I got it cold because it was difficult to really taste the ube flavor.

Frida's in Old City Philadelphia -- Restaurant Pros…read moreFrida's is a wonderful little find in Old City Philadelphia. The location is excellent--just a couple of blocks from Independence Hall, making it a perfect place to stop for breakfast, brunch, coffee, or something freshly baked while exploring the historic area. Everything we ordered was freshly made, delicious, and served with care. We tried the Quiche Lorraine, which had an exceptionally flaky, buttery crust and was served with a small fresh salad. The dressing was excellent too. We also tried the baker's basket, including the croissants and scones. They had a slightly different recipe and flavor than we were accustomed to, but they were absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The homemade jam was another standout--it was so good that I would recommend taking some home if you have the opportunity. The American omelet was also freshly prepared and brought to the table hot. We also enjoyed a freshly made cappuccino and black coffee. My son ordered the chorizo, and he said it was the best chorizo he has ever tasted anywhere. It was truly delicious! The customer service was excellent. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive. Frida's has a charming, cozy, boutique-like atmosphere that combines a restaurant, coffee shop, and bakery. Pricing was average, about $20-30 per person. Cons: Honestly, we couldn't find any! However, the restroom could have been cleaner I highly recommend Frida's to anyone visiting Old City Philadelphia. The freshness and quality of the food really stood out, and you can tell that the baked goods and other dishes are prepared with care. It's a charming place in a fantastic location, and definitely worth a visit while exploring Philadelphia's historic district.

They pretty much all smiled but my server she was a bit slower to check on me or come back around... Had to wait a while to ask for the chec too ... Ordered their egg white omelette. This was pretty good. Needs a bit more punch of flavor though. Got the breakfast potatoes too. Some were hard as a rock while others had a nice crispy outside and soft inside. It was seasoned well. Id actually get that again. The Bangkok tea was yummy. I sadly got the fruit cup..the fruit seemed like it was cut a day or 2 ago. The multi grain toast was cut just a bit tooooooo thick. The butter wasn't anything great. Came with this watery jam too. I ordered their chocolate espresso cake for dinner tonight. Just hope that is good. Decent spot if you're in the area. There are much better places near by too though.

I opted for the 16oz original viet coffee and added salt cold foam (0.50 upcharge) They also have limited drinks such as the pandan coffee and matcha and banhi mi sandwiches. The ice to liquid ratio was ideal- the small ice kept my drink cold while I walking around Chinatown and didn't dilute the coffee. The cold foam had the perfect amount of salt and the coffee was bold and smooth. Lastly, foam also didn't degrade into my coffee after minutes! I hope I'm able to sleep later, hehe. We sat down and ordered some food. It took a long time to come out, and at first I only got half of my order. I was done with the first dish before being told the second plate was no longer available and they were now closing the kitchen anyway. The waiter offered a "free dessert or cocktail." I chose the cocktail. To my surprise when the check came, they rang me up for the food I never got. So the drink wasn't free after all. I wouldn't have ordered a cocktail or dessert. I would have preferred to just... not have the item I wanted but I felt forced to pay. I really didn't like that at all. The games are cool and it's a vast selection however one of the games we played had broken pieces so it's a good thing we didn't have a full party. The food and drinks I had were good. Overall, I'll likely chose another boardgame bar next time.
