Again, Ala Carte is the best! I did a review for my cat previously yet this review is on Jaqueline, Julie's protege! I took my Chocolate lab for grooming and he has some health issues for he is almost 12 yrs old and after bathing him on his 1st appt, Jaqueline discovered a rash on his underside and she re-bathed him with an ionic bath with skin issues shampoo etc at no extra charge! I since had to reschedule his appt twice due to health issues etc and she was so gracious and concerned! He had his 2nd grooming today and once again she was so sensitive to his health issues and cares for him like he is her own dog!! Before I begin my review, I would like to say, I promise you, if you choose to go to A La Carte Pet Grooming, you WILL NOT be disappointed! Being Full-Time RV'ers, we have to look for a place to have our Shih Tzu's groomed, wherever we might be. First of all, I want to give a shout out to Yelp! You have only let us down one time in 15 month's of being on the road. But more importantly, Julie is da bomb! . While we were in Redmond, OR; the pups were in need of hair cuts and baths, etc, etc! I called Julie on Thursday and asked if she had time for our pups. We were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning at 9:00 AM. She was only located 5.5 miles from the campground we were staying in. Upon our arrival, out comes Julie to great us and the pups! She is fully set up to take great care of your pet, or pets, as in our case. She gave us an approximate time, and in approximately 3 hours, they were done and ready! Went to pick them up and we were very happy with how she handled them, us and payment for her services! It's important to us to have someone we are comfortable with for our pups. Julie made us both feel very comfortable, and so did her husband. Rascal and Skooder look wonderful!!! Thank you Julie for being so kind. She told me things our old groomer of 12 years didn't even tell us about our pets and the proper care they need! I'm BEYOND THANKFUL and so HAPPY I found Linda and her son!!! My two 150lb Newfoundland boys have been groomed beautifully by Julie and Jacqueline. They understand the breed and how to groom them and always discuss anything specific I might want done prior to beginning the groom. After chasing him around the house and completely destroying every room by midnight, I started calling groomers at the crack of dawn to help me with my problem. I can confidently say that I had the worst experience at this place than I have EVER had at any groomers in the 6 years I've had my dog. I was aggressively talked to by a groomer upon arriving to pick her up, when she did not cut my labradoodle the length I had specified when I dropped her off. When I asked if she would make it right and cut her shorter, she refused to and called me a liar and said she didn't do anything wrong and would not make it better without charging me for a full groom again. The owner of the business was also present, and did not do anything to help resolve the situation. On top of the awful interaction I had with this woman, their price was DOUBLE what I have ever paid for her grooming, only to be verbally abused and unsatisfied with her groom. I am completely appalled at their customer service, and will be making sure everyone I know in my profession at a local veterinary clinic does not take their dogs to be groomed here after this experience. read more

It is with great regret I write this review. My large dog, now 16 months, has been going to A La Carte for almost a year. Initially I was very pleased with the services, although, there were a couple of times my male dogs genitals were trimmed so close he developed "hot spots" or a rug burn type appearance. One of the times the burn was bad enough my dog was miserable for a couple of days. At his following visit I spoke with the owner who advised me she would be careful around his "sanitary" areas. She also said she would make a note regarding this so it wouldn't happen in the future. After that visit in September we went home happy and satisfied. This last visit, shortly after our dogs grooming, he began appearing TERRIBLY uncomfortable. Once again he has a SEVERE burn on his genitals and is miserable. I did text the groomer explaining what had occurred and told her I would be cancelling his next appointment. Unfortunately, she didn't address the issue but said It had been a pleasure to serve me. It was a very expensive grooming, which in my mind, should have been professional. I can NOT recommend this groomer. Follow-up. In response to Owner's reply. Our dog had a very severe "hot spot" on his genitals not testicals at a previous grooming session, after which, I discussed at length with the groomer. It saddens me the owner is making justifications for her actions. This recent visit was more expensive than previous visits, as I suspect the less experienced assistant did the groom, therefor, taking longer than usual at more cost to me. BUT... this issue is not about money. It's about my dog being injured. He has a 3 inch burn or "hot spot" on his genitals NOT due to previous irritaion...this is MORE THSN A SIMPLE IRRITAION. It's also due to the simple fact Julie is unwillingly to recognize this and apologize. read more

We just picked up our 5 month old golden-doodle from having her first haircut. She looks beautiful! Julie did a great job of listening to what we wanted. The grooming station is located in a small cabin that is clean and allowed for our dog to have individual attention. Julie gave us training tips for how to make our dog can be more comfortable at the groomer and how she should be brushed in between appointments.
