The bond we share is unbreakable. Sometimes I would chat with him and his friends while I wait for my watch to be repaired. Price was fair. Service was moderately fast and on a timely manner. Parking lot is small since it's in a small plaza. Anyway, I highly recommend this watch repair shop.

I called about 20 repair shops asking if they repair Soviet era watches and everyone either said no or I wouldn't find anyone in LA. Randomly stumbled on Vic and AM repair shop and he said he could do it. It was over the holidays, he did it super fast and didn't even charge much. He not only repaired the watch, it works great, but also gave it a spruce up! read more

I had an old but valuable watch that was given to me by my mom and the watch hadn't been working for yearrrrs. I don't know of any watch repair locations in the LA area so I did some research and found AM Watch Repair. So happy that I decided to give this place a visit as I got to meet Vic who is the owner of this shop and has been an expert in this business for 20+ years. I normally don't write reviews but this one I had an urge to leave and let people know that Vic is amazing with his work. Came in to get some links taken out of the bracelet of a new watch I had. Took less than 10 minutes for the job to be completed and I was on my way. I don't know how in the world this place has such good reviews. I took two watches in for repair that needed a new battery new crystal--the face was cracked. I posted a photo of this. This guy took a week to repair them and when I received, both watches had dust and glue all over the face. This is nothing less than an ATROCIOUS job. Ruined two of my favorite watches. I am appalled. When I pointed out the mistakes to the shop owner, he responded saying "the glue and the dust will go away on their own in a week." WTF?!??!?!?!!? read more

Small shop, in the small plaza for a Thai restaurant and yummy Sidewalk Grill! Depending on the time of day parking in the lot may be hard. He removed links from my watch very quickly, I was in and out in 5 minutes, and for $5. I also wanted to get holds punched in two watches but he told me that he doesn't have a leather punch. read more

Friendly, fast, efficient for batteries and the like! I have fun here, wheeling, dealing, getting good deals and bad deals. Old world, old school. When he really applies himself he can do great, even inspired repairs! Not a factory-type service center or sterile repair shop. Neighborhood and local, idiosyncratic and offbeat. Just read every review and pay attention. They are all honest and believable. I add this only as a service to those requiring dealer-level service on a valuable piece. Not that sort of place, nor does it pretend to be. More to have fun, hit and miss, enjoy the madness. read more

Either the owner is forgetful or thinks he has the right to charge for the same service twice within a month but I'm not coming back here. I took a metal watch to have the band replaced as it wasn't properly closing/clasping. Within a week it started opening again, he took it back and "fixed" it again, then it happened again right away and I brought it back and when I picked it up he tried to charge me again for the service I already paid for .... shoddy work and a forgetful owner, pass. read more

Having read some good reviews, I went in for a battery replacement in my Withings watch. The same two old men mentioned in previous reviews were sitting there having lunch. Unfortunately my experience was not good. He looked at my watch, and took off half the band, and with what appeared to be an old Boy Scout pen knife, certainly not a watch repair tool, proceeded to try to pry the back off. He succeeded only in dinging up the back, and when he couldn't get it open, announced that he didn't have the right battery and couldn't help me. I quickly looked up the battery specs, and it used a CR2025, one of the most common battery types. Clearly he did not know what he was doing! I don't know how they pay the rent there, but it is not by repairing watches! Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY! read more

He even said he remembered when I came in with my male friend when we spent hundreds of dollars. He said he was willing to throw in the labor but wanted me to buy a new earring back and post which was not even gold. And he wanted to charge me $50 for a metal, (NOT gold) post and earring back. How many earring backs have you lost in your life? It wasn't just his greed that annoyed me, it was his total and utter disrespect of me as a human. I find men like this treat women very differently when there's another man with me. I wouldn't trust these folks. Plus he obviously doesn't respect older women. Steer clear.

Saw Vic's reviews here in Yelp. I was impressed with the reviews and decided to bring my watches to Vic. He charged me only $5 for each link and battery replacement service. In 3 days he also fixed my broken watch which my son asked from me. He charged me only $15 for that. Now my son wears a watch that he loves for the first time. That means a lot to me. So, I am giving Vic and his business a 5 star for making a difference to me through such normal, simple service. He is honest, and straight forward. That is my impression of him. I rarely write reviews, but I frequently turn to the Internet to find recommended goods and services and really think this shop provides great service. If you have a watch to repair, or need your watch batteries changed, or want to buy from a person instead of from the internet, why not support your local business? This one provides "old-fashioned", service, with which I mean quality and very reasonably-priced. He charged us $5 for a battery replacement. In a tiny shop filled with all sorts of odds and ends your watch will be repaired, no matter what the brand is. read more

I just came here and they looked at the watch. Quote was less than any American place. It took them a little bit of time to get the back opened and get the right battery from his stash. And it took even longer to put the water resistant seal and backing back on it properly because of how fragile it was. But they took their time and was careful in putting it back together! It took maybe 20 minutes all together. He was able to change the battery unlike all the other places I've been to. I will go to this shop for all my other watches from now on! read more

he is an outstanding man , you cant find bussiness like this any where else and in my opinion you shouldnt even try cause you probably wount find it to all the people that have bad comments written here you honestly dont know what your saying you must be very disturbed people because vic is a great man and he knows how to do business he is the nicest, friendliest, most honest business man you could find now a days you would be lucky to go to a place like am watch repair honestly people u wount regret going ..thats all i have to say read more

I walked in here to get a new pin for my watch band, and the guy fixed it in 2 minutes & charged me $0.00 for it. If I ever hear anyone talking bad about this place in front of me I'll kick their ass. (Unless they're bigger and/or stronger than me.) I have a friend who used to work in watch repair, and he's kind of a dick, but this guy is super nice. read more

Service Sometimes Takes Time. If you are lucky like me to only need a pin replaced on the band it is lickity split quick but if you need a watch repaired that is going to require intricate parts then that is just going to take time and would not be any different at any other watch repair. read more

This place was awesome. I live in Chula vista and had no clue really where to go to get my Tag watch repaired and polished. A M Watch Repair gave me a very reasonable estimate. The turnaround was quick and the watch looked brand new. I highly recommend. read more

I took my watch to get repaired they fixed it less than 10 minutes for 12 bucks my watch looks brand new and works awesome
