Rush Hour was recommended by a friend. I have a watch that is very special to me, gifted by my father but had stopped working. Alex, the gentleman who assisted me, couldn't have been kinder, more knowledgable or more respectful. He fixed the immediate issues, fully serviced it and now it works perfectly. The payment for his level of expertise was also very fair. Thank you, Alex. I will recommend you to all my friends and will never go anywhere else.

Needed a new battery for my watch so I used Yelp to find a good spot. Impressed by their 4-5 Star ratings, decided to pay Rush Hour Jewelry a visit! LOCATION & PARKING Located on W. Sunset Blvd on the corner in a small plaza called Sunset Fuller Plaza. Small parking lot available cuz it's shared with other surrounding businesses. A security guard patrols the lot and seems to write down the car info of every car that parks there. STORE INFO Open Monday-Saturday from 9:30am - 6pm and Closed Sundays. Accepts both Cash and Credit/Debit cards! CUSTOMER SERVICE Truly lives up to their name "Rush Hour" cuz service was super quick and efficient. Told the guy I needed a new battery. Prices of battery vary depending on the Type of watch. He replaced mine on my Fossil watch for $8. I was literally in and out in about 5 minutes! **TIP: Check In on Yelp and mention it to get 10% off of Watch Repairs! Overall, I left with a fixed watch and will definitely come here now for any of my watch or jewelry repairs!

Dima is very knowledgeable about the best prices for items and knows what constitutes good quality in watches and jewelry. They have a beautifully curated selection of fine jewelry and watches available. I purchased a watch I have been eyeing for years from them, and the price and quality were better than anything you can find online. If you don't see something you want, they can find it for you. The quality of their pieces is exceptional, and I genuinely felt like I was receiving something special. It's evident that they care deeply about their customers and their reputation. If you're looking for high-end jewelry or a luxury watch, this is absolutely the place to go. I'll definitely be returning and recommending them to friends and family.

On multiple occasions, I observed him watching women through the store window as they walked to neighboring businesses, then intentionally leaving the store to place himself in their path. It felt far more like surveillance than customer service. What makes this even more concerning is that this shopping center regularly has disruptive individuals passing through, yet his attention appears to be directed toward female shoppers instead. Rather than focusing on legitimate safety concerns, he seems preoccupied with monitoring women who are simply visiting nearby businesses. I was uncomfortable enough that I noticed the pattern, and I've learned that employees at neighboring businesses have observed similar behavior as well. A jewelry store should make customers feel welcome and safe, not watched. Additionally, I regularly patronize several businesses in this shopping center, and I've had positive experiences with them. The only business I intentionally avoid is this jewelry store because this sales associate repeatedly makes me feel uncomfortable. Again, Instead of focusing on assisting customers in his own store, I've repeatedly observed him watching female customers through the window, coming outside to position himself in their path, and lingering near parked cars. On numerous occasions after my appointments, he has watched me leave, come outside, and remained near my vehicle. This pattern has continued over many visits and has made me feel uncomfortable enough that I refuse to do business there. A shopping center should be a place where customers can visit multiple businesses without feeling watched or followed. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with this jewelry store. Not even the security for this plaza acts like that.

The service I received here was appalling - never in my life have I felt more taken advantage of. I read some of the poor reviews and went here out of convenience because I live around the corner - HUGE mistake. I brought in my black Movado that I had dropped on concrete. The front glass (crystal) had broken and Martha said she could repair it. At first she quoted me $85, but then told me for me it was $55. I was excited - this was a deal. A few days later she calls me and says she ordered the part, but the part is actually more expensive than she anticipated, and quoted me $125. That was an insane jump and an immediate red flag, but I love my watch, so I agreed to the new price. I never heard from her for weeks (no text, no voicemail) and only after I called to check on the status did she say it was ready. When I go to pick it up the condition is absolutely terrible. I had ONE crack in the crystal/top glass from a direct hit on pavement. This new glass face (if it even is glass...) wasn't repaired properly and what's left is a jagged cut crystal with little chips all over the face of my old watch. It is an absolute hatchet job. To make matters worse, she showed me my old crystal and it's not even the same part!! I can't believe my watch is in this condition. When I pointed out how poorly it was put together, she said how else is the face supposed to be removed? It is more than clear now that she lacks the tools AND the know how to repair a watch crystal (which any reputable shop can do, by the way). My watch looks like an amateur did it. This was no repair. If I wanted to it to look this bad I would have done it myself. DO NOT BRING YOUR PRECIOUS WATCHES HERE.

I learned so much about timepieces just visiting the shop. What I don't like is maybe something they do in the watch business frequently; downplay what piece you are wearing when you are shopping in order to make you dissatisfied with your own watch collection. Also, gaslighting a customer to think that they are expecting too much when something isn't repaired properly. I never wanted to sell them anything, but they would discuss whatever watch I was wearing when I was browsing or would take in for service. A few years ago the gentleman running the store classified an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak I was wearing as "the kiss of death" because of the caliber of its movement and on another visit said that my Rolex 16618 wasn't special or worth anything unless it had the "serti" diamond and sapphire dial. Which is complete lunacy when I look back on it, but at the time I was taking everything he said so seriously. Every time I looked at my AP watch after that all I could think of was "kiss of death". They refinished one of my 18k gold watches here for a decent price and they did an excellent job on the polishing and brushed links. But when I picked it up and asked why the previously scratched "cyclops" magnifying glass on the crystal hadn't been replaced they basically said that I was nitpicking their service and that I should just be happy with their watch refinishing, and appreciate the value their work. I could've just as easily mailed it off to the Rolex repair center and paid a little bit more, having it done directly by Rolex...who replace watch crystals. Which is what I did later. About a decade ago, they serviced an 18k gold ladies' President my mother had and polished all the brushed links shiny, which was odd and kind of weird. She was too polite to say anything and just paid for it. They also purchased a friend of mine's Cartier Tank watch when I told him about the store and he was happy with the transaction. It's a fabulous looking store and it's basically an institution because it has been in business so long. It's really an integral part of Melrose Ave. and I love their vintage watch selection. Just don't enjoy snarky comments about what I'm wearing by the sales team, or the disregard of work that I had specified on a refinishing.
