    antipasti platter

A cute, cozy, lively restaurant. I think this is my new favorite Italian in the city! There aren't many pasta dishes where I feel like I couldn't just make it myself - the fusilli e scallops is one of them. Very flavorful, high quality ingredients, and fair portion for the price. We really enjoyed the antipasti plate as an appetizer and the basque cheesecake for dessert was also a favorite! The service here was great, our waiter was very attentive. I plan on returning!

Finally got the chance to come her and boy did it live up to the hype! This is such a cozy spot! Its got great italian food with the cozy vibe inside. We had a reservation for 3 of us on a Friday night around 8:30. There is not a ton of parking on site but there is tons of parking around the neighborhood for free, so still lots of good options. Our table was ready right away and we had a lovely waitress who provided lots of good recommendations. She sold me on the prosciutto e melone drink which WOW so tasty and definitely could taste the prosciutto a little. For an appy, we got the burrata which was just perfect. For our entrees, we got the spinach tortellini (why do they never give a lot for tortellini!) which was a special for the evening and quite delicious. We paired it with the chicken parm which had to be the JUCIEST chicken parm ever oh my god and the fusili scallop mushroom pasta which was just perfect. We weren't going to get them immedialty but after our food arrived we decided to add on the fried artichokes which were such a fun and delicious side. Overall such a lovely meal! 4 star because pasta was small portions but still delish

Always a wonderful experience at a mano! Had the privilege of attending their "wine down in the garden" wine tasting event. Not only were the wines amazing, but so was the service & atmosphere! Their patio is perfectly shaded - great for a warm spring day. We had a birthday in our party and the staff made an adorable card for her with everyone's signatures and gave us complimentary homemade limoncello to celebrate. The perfect way to celebrate another lap around the sun!

Very romantic, very cozy. I met here with a friend for dinner and I love Italian food. We both started with a house red and an order of burrata (do recommend) followed by the carbonara. Everything was excellent and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and with recommendations. Service was quick and concise, which is exactly what you need on a weekday night.

My friend and I had spontaneous dinner here and we got lucky! It was slow at first and we did not have a reservation. We ended up sitting at the bar and the place was shortly packed out! We split everything we ordered so we could try more of the menu. We started with the Antipasti Plate, moved on to the Carbonara, then ordered the Salmon and a side of Shishito peppers. To pair with our meal, we ordered a bottle of the Orange Pinot Gris (Great Choice). To end the service, we got the Gelato. Everything was fresh, made to order, and very much authentic. I have become a huge fan and will definitely return with a reservation.

Came for lunch right at 11am when they opened. Didn't have a reservation, but we were the first customers so everything was open. We sat out on the patio which was lovely and besides from the car noises, it doesn't feel like you're basically in a parking lot. My friend and I ordered sandwiches and soup from the lunch menu for $20 total! I had the Roman sandwich with prosciutto and it was absolutely perfect. I dipped it into the tomato soup which was incredibly delicious. I was thankful we could swap out the side of chips for the soup. I highly recommend lunch here for an elevated but affordable option. Parking: they have a very small lot, otherwise it's street parking.

What a cozy place to get some food! I'm a sucker for string lights so the outdoor seating was perfect. I tried the love potion and an order of cacio e pepe and would highly recommend both. The love potion was a easy drink to sip on and I felt the lychee, hibiscus, and gin was a very smooth combo. I wish the portion of cacio e pepe was a bit bigger, but otherwise it was very good as well.

We tried A Mano on a Saturday night. We definitely needed reservations. They sat us outside at a picnic table style seating. Difficult to maneuver with a sun dress. Our server, Chris, was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. We started with fig salad and Burrata appetizers. We would order both again. For entrees, we tried bucatini alla bolognese which was yummy. We also tried the Eggplant Parmesan with a side of pasta. The eggplant is cut super thick. You get two large slices. It was not very flavorful due to the thickness. Once we sliced it horizontally to make thinner slices and used the sauce from the side dish, it was better. I don't think I would order the eggplant again. The parking lot is pretty small.

We ordered some focaccia bread and it came out cold! The server said this is how they serve it? Why would I want cold bread? Anyways, at 5-6pm they get booked up and the restaurant was fully packed when we dined. Service was very slow, and we waited so long for our drinks and apps. Main courses came out while we were still eating our apps and they were yummy. Only complaint is the bread and how they were serving it. Overall, good experience as the pasta was tasty. One of the pastas were tasty the other one was nothing too special

Came here for dinner. Small Italian restaurant with a limited menus. Started with a Burrata appetizer with sourdough bread and a side Misto salad. Burrata a bit pricey for what you got but good. For dinner we ordered pasta bolognese, chicken parmigiana and egg plant parmigiana. We informed the eggplant was out of stock. The pasta was decent as was the chicken parmigiana which were made from thighs. Dessert was the chocolate torte which was probably the best thing we had. Service was decent.

Mushroom Bucatini! Chefs kiss... simple Dish. House made pasta miso cream sauce, Parmesan. Well executed dish!!

I had finished a energizing photoshoot at Old Fourth Ward park with FemForce photography... Was hungry and wanted to celebrate ME. Amazing to me there were literally no restaurants around that area of O4W and even by The LOLA. A Mano popped up And although I don't usually do pasta cuz that'll watch the carbs thing I said what the hell, why not I'm celebrating. It can't be any worse than whatever fast food that I would be picking up on the way back to the office. Pepper pasta as a kick but it is delicious with lots of shaved cheese and it was on lunch special for only $10. So I indulged with a prosecco Spritz that they call Hugo with a little elderflower and it was and lovely. Service was very warm and inviting and friendly. The ambiance is just wonderful. I love these old houses that get converted into restaurants. They have so much character. This one has a very nice open main dining room with enclosed porch and a covered garden area. I sat at the the far window facing out to look at the garden since I was flying solo. If you're in the Old Fourth Gordon area and want a nice casual inviting experience that isn't rushed, this is your spot. Apparently it gets really busy because they were taking reservations. I got here before noon time and had no wait. They do have lunch specials What a delight.

    Beet salad
    Chandrika R.

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. The place was packed, but the staff were still attentive. The "bird in hand" cocktail was delicious! The beet salad was one of the best salads I've ever had. The fusilli e scallops was not to my liking. It was sweet and too rich for me. I should have asked more questions when I ordered it by recommendation of the waitress, but it is a very popular dish. The chocolate torte was good but nothing special. I'm giving 4 stars because the atmosphere was fun, and the waitstaff was so great! They even gave us separate checks without any fuss. I will def be back and order something with a red sauce!

As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
