Charcuterie's were wonderful and the fried olives were . Ratio of bread was maybe a little low for the meat and cheese. Eggplant appetizer was delish and as most things packed with flavor but also needed more bread. My shrimp dish was excellent. Lots of garlic without losing the lemon and pepper. Kitty Dare was a good experience. The Italian Mediterranean fusion is definitely a unique concept. Overall the ambience is pretty dreamy and intimate. I came with a large group dinner and service was pretty good for that. The labneh was fine, nothing great. I wish I had tried the pistachio hummus instead. The lamb burger was cooked really well and very tasty. I subbed the fries for the zucchini. Super good choice. Three of us were able to easily split a bottle for 2 heavy pours. read more

Second time at Kitty Dare, and I don't think I would prioritize going back again. I had the shrimp pasta dish which was ok but not super exciting. The hugo cocktail drink was great, that was my favorite part of my meal. I forgot the name of the other dish, but I remember it wasn't cooked very well. The service was kind of slow despite us going on a weekday night. The interior of the restaurant was cool though, and the ambiance was nice--not too bright and not too dark. Love everything about this place! We dined for NYE and everything was exceptional. We had a 5 pm reservation but were running a few minutes late so I called the restaurant to let them know. When we got there, we were checked in and seated right away. Our server brought us water and gave us a few minutes to look through the menu. I got the Hugo and my husband the Paige. We also started with the tunisi eggplant. The eggplant was served with warm ciabatta bread and was so flavorful. For entrees, I ordered the lamb burger and Caesar salad. My husband got their steak special for the night. We both enjoyed our meals. Loved that the salad had fried capers. The lamb burger was a little too salty for me but was very flavorful. Love the place. Took my daughter and her boyfriend on a whim. Excellent luck, because it was amazing. Not one dish missed. I love that it covers multiple dishes across the Mediterranean. The ambiance is great as well. Can be a great date night and get all classy or go casual. We had the labneh, which was creamy and delicious. The hummus was different as it had peas but it was excellent. I'd recommend getting both. We had three other dishes, the chicken, the melanzane, an bucatini and shrimp. All were great. The chicken was juicy and seasoned really well and the saffron rice cakes were amazing. The Melanzane had no protein but was very filling and was a traditional Italian dish with a giant burrata ball to make it creamy. The bucatini noodles were al dente and shrimp was juicy. This restaurant has been on my radar since it opened because The Last Resort was my favorite restaurant in Athens while I was in school at UGA. I was in Atlanta for work this week so I was finally able to try it out. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation and our table wasn't ready so we went to get a drink at the bar. At 7:10 we went and checked on the table again and they asked for our name again and then said it was ready. Before moving to our table we asked if we needed to close out our tab or if it could be transferred to the table and they told us that it could be transferred. Halfway through our meal our waiter brought us the bill and told us that we left the bar without closing it out as if we may have been drinking and dashing. The only reason this rubbed me the wrong way is because we specifically asked about this before leaving the bar. For dinner we ordered a bunch of items to share since we knew we wouldn't be able to come back any time soon. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions though I feel he could have been more forthcoming about the portion sizes. The portions were absolutely enormous! The half size caesar salad was certainly as large as a full size elsewhere and my Berbere chicken came on top of a veritable mountain of hummus. It felt so wasteful because we couldn't take anything to go as we were staying in a hotel. I think we would have been less flabbergasted by portion size if we have been able to take our leftovers with us. Our favorite dish of the night was hands down the Tunisi eggplant. It was warm and decadent and I would have been happy eating my chicken with just a side of this eggplant. At the end of the meal we didn't have any space for dessert so I cannot speak to that but overall we mostly enjoyed our dinner. We felt meh about the Caesar and felt the fried olives could have used a dipping sauce (possibly tzatziki) but the off menu lamb stew special, the feta fries and the chicken were all very good if a little daunting in size. read more

Kitty Dare is one of our new favorite restaurants in Atlanta since we found it a year ago when we moved to the area in 2024. Kitty Dare serves a delicious mixture of Mediterranean food with a large selection of wine. It is in Inman Park across from the Inman Park/Reynoldstown Marta Station. The friendly staff greets you the moment you walk in, whether that's the door, the restaurant, or the door closest to the bar. If you have yourself or a friend with you, I suggest sitting at the bar. The bartenders are helpful and very friendly. We sat at the bar the first few times we came here, as it was my hubby and myself. When we came with friends, we sat at tables in the bar area and on the beautiful tucked-away oasis on the patio. One of my favorite things about this place is the reasonably priced wine and impressive selection that won't break the bank. Of course, if you want to spend some dough, they have some fancy wine, too, but it is not a requirement to drink some good wine here. To start your meal, I suggest getting the Labneh, a yogurt-like dip with green olives, za'atar, and pomegranate served with their homemade bread. The bride is the other starter we had, and it is fantastic, making it a challenge to select what we will start a meal with. If you need protein in your starter, I would suggest their Spanish-style muscles, which are extra tasty. Now for the main dishes. Since I am primarily a pescatarian, my favorites are citrus salmon served over mouthwatering couscous, risotto delightfully flavored with pepper and cheese, or the very flavorful shrimp pasta dish. If you are sensitive to spice, you would not want it, but if you like a little heat with your meal, you'll love it. read more

I absolutely loved my visit to Kitty Dare. We came here on a Friday night on a reservation and it was quite packed. I absolutely loved the ambiance here as it was dimly lit and intentionally decorated to give the Mediterranean vibe with the whites and blues. We ordered a lot of small items to share as we weren't that hungry, but still wanted to sample wheat Kitty Dare had to offer. We had the charcuterie board with duck prosciutto, lamb sujuk, Spanish saichichon, Humboldt Fog, and mahon. Our server helped us with these choices, and I don't regret any of them. The star of the show had to be the honey. I'm not usually a big fan of honey, but this one was heavenly. It was so sweet and syrupy that I had to ask for the name of it to get it for myself. Ziyad Pure Bee Honeycomb - by the way. We also ordred Oregano & Feta Fries, Tunisi Eggplant, and Bucatini & Shrimp pasta. Between these, the pasta was my favorite. It's hard to describe, but Kitty Dare just feels special. The space is beautiful with a nice blend of classy and trendy. The service was very friendly and clearly knew all the regular locals. Last, but not least, the food was very tasty. We had had BBQ for lunch so ordered a few smaller dishes to share. The Labneh was very good as was the eggplant tunisi. The grilled zucchini was also exceptional. We wrapped up the meal with the cardamon orange creme brulee, which was divine. Truly, it was a must order. This place is really cozy, but bigger than it looks. The cocktails were a miss for us. My husband ordered their take on an old fashioned, but it wasn't particularly well balanced. I ordered a last word (admittedly not on the menu, but a classic cocktail that's very simple and the bar appeared to have the ingredients from what I could see). We heard the bartender ask what was in a last word and I called out the ingredients. When it came, it was definitely not made correctly based on sight and confirmed on taste. The server relayed that an ingredient had been substituted, but the substitute made no sense. Ultimately, I wound up ordering a dirty martini (which was tasty). The manager took my martini off the bill without us asking for anything, which was very nice. The food was excellent. The gnocchi is one of their most popular dishes for a reason. The cacio e pepe risotto comes with either the seafood of the day, or with shrimp or salmon. I got it with shrimp and it was delicious. The lemon really made it. We also got the white chocolate pistachio cheesecake. I don't like cheesecake but thought this was delicious. It's sweet, but it works. We had the pleasure of stumbling upon this restaurant in our search for a heated patio. We had no reservations, but were seated right away as the host made a place for us and turned on the heater. The entire staff was warm, pleasant and professional. Our server, Marina (sp?) was especially warm and such a pleasure to meet. This restaurant is new to me, but is now definitely in my top 10 with its amazing service, heated patio, exquisite interior design and out of this world, delicious Mediterranean food! Kitty Dare was a great restaurant with a variety of Mediterranean based dishes. While it may be branded as Mediterranean there are a lot of options outside of just Mediterranean cuisine. The service here was top notch with a great waitress and host, and the ambiance is very cool. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside where it looks amazing, but even inside had excellent decor and helped with the Mediterranean vibe. We started off with the Medjool Dates which were absolutely delicious and the ciabatta bread. The dates are wrapped in bacon and stuffed with chorizo and might've been the best food of the night. Then we each had a salad which we also thought were very tasty. I had the Caesar and thought it was one of the best Caesar's I had eaten in a while. Then we had the entrees where I had a lamb burger with feta fries which fell a little flat. I was excited about it because of the great food I had eaten before it but if/when I return I'm looking forward to trying a new dish instead. Came here with Tasting Collective for a prix fixe menu. We started out strong with the Labneh, which was the perfect fluffy luxurious texture with zaatar and pomegranate to make it more interesting. The fresh baked bread was incredible as well. The next course was a Tunisian eggplant which was delicious atop the bread. The tropical cocktail I had was also fantastic. That's where it the meal stopped being amazing unfortunately. The bass a la meunière was flavorless except for the capers which overpowered everything else. The Bucatini and shrimp, which they said is their most popular dish, was too dry to eat for me. The flavor profile was nice but it was just so dry. The flourless brownie was described as a chocolate torte, but the presentation was not appetizing and this was just not good. I would def go back for the labneh alone. The staff were lovely and the venue is beautiful. They do wine nights and other events that sound like a lot of fun. Located next to the Daily on Dekalb Ave, Kitty Dare seems a bit tucked away at first glance but is easy to spot once you go past the Daily. I went on Sunday for a birthday brunch with a friend (I made reservations). I was seated immediately, and greeted by staff. The decor and ambiance is simple with the large windows providing beautiful daylight. I ordered the Blueberry mocktail and my friend got the blood orange mimosa and we enjoyed them. I ordered the shakshuka and she got the omelette. Everything came out HOT and fresh, and very delicious. Even the potatoes were seasoned to perfection. For dessert, we got the Knafeh and Cardamom Orange crème brûlée. So delicious! I'd definitely like to come back for dinner to try out that menu. I was kindly greeted by the host as I entered this cute dimly lit restaurant. Perfect place for a date with friends, family, or significant other. I came for the Gnocchi! The first I've ever had! I have to say I was shocked and pleasantly delighted! The chickpeas and mint yogurt set this dish off with the lamb ragu! I appreciated every ingredient as I gracefully devoured it! We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night but got there early and didn't have an issue getting a table. But it started filling up quickly as the night went on! Loved the decor and vibes inside. They had a beautiful patio that I'd love to sit out on a nice fall day. When I return for brunch, that will be the move. They have a great drink menu with some unique and fun options. The Mina Mina and espresso martini were fab. For our entrees we got the gnocchi and the lamb burger. The gnocchi is one of my favorite dishes I've had in Atlanta to date! Loved all the flavors. Went once 2 years ago and once last week. :) The service is very good, as expected somewhere like this. The restaurant is elegant with dark mood lighting. They are able to accommodate all diets, and satisfy kids too! We had a 9 year old picky eater in our party and they made him plain pasta (with oil and salt) and grilled chicken and he gave them "100 out of 10". Lol I did not care for the vegetarian crispy arroz. The rice was in fact not crispy, because it's sitting in a wet stew. It was also lacking flavor. I only took a couple of bites and they noticed and removed it from the check. The Tunisi eggplant is delish! Others in our group had the bucatini and shrimp and a steak and potatoes special, and enjoyed those very much. The wine was also fantastic both times I've been! There is only street parking. There is quite a bit of it on the surrounding blocks, so we lucked out both times and parked right in front but it's always a gamble. read more

Kitty Dare is located at a unique intersection in what appears to be a (mostly) quiet part of Little Five Points. You walk in at the corner of Hurt & Edgewood into a narrow hallway, followed by a couple larger dining rooms. This is not the kind of restaurant that you "stumble" into spontaneously. People are arriving with intent to consume and imbibe. There is much to imbibe. We enjoyed the Syrah as it was a Lebanese red wine with a bold texture. More importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed everything. The Tunisi eggplant was an excellent starter for us to share--accentuated by the harissa sauce embedded within the dish. Hummus was standard but well seasoned; even the $6 roasted bell pepper salad was appreciated. We got a vegetarian version of the gnocchi. It is a sizable portion, and in hindsight, I wish I didn't eat so much of it...would have been good to save a day or two later. The vegetarian crispy arroz was hearty as well. We look forward to returning and trying more of their dishes. Service was friendly and professional. Really appreciated the detail with which the waitress explained some of the menu items. For $18, you get salmon cakes with poached eggs, potatoes rosti, and a delicious preserved lemon béarnaise sauce, plus a side of fresh fruit. My blood orange mimosa was the perfect brunch drink. My friend got the chickpea and chorizo stew skillet, which was hearty and full of flavor. The spicy chorizo paired perfectly with the tender chickpeas, creating a warm and comforting dish that was both satisfying and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for brunch or any meal. Courtney was our server and she was so nice and helpful with great recommendations! Italian food with a mediterranean twist. If that isn't an interesting combination, I don't know what is. This place is located in old 4th ward, so parking is not the easiest. You can park on the street or in the marta station parking lot right opposite to the restaurant. We were seated promptly once we got to the restaurant and the service was good. Our server had good suggestions and also gave us a quick history of the restaurant. The food was good, not exceptional. We ordered the charcuterie board as appetizer with some wine and cocktails. The bread and the prosciutto were amazing - the goat cheese and olive salad were good too. Now, for the entree - the lamb gnocchi was the absolute star of the show. I would go back for it again. We also ordered the grilled chicken breast which came on a bed of hummus - interesting combination for sure. The chicken was a bit dry so would not recommend that. Enjoyed what could have been a great food experience save a terrible -- and repeatable hiccup at the end of dessert. After ordering an appetizer (Lamb and Beef Kabobs) and a salad, we were brought out a decent set of main dishes: salmon and the shrimp. Both were fairly good. However, we had to wait 30-40 minutes with no contact from any server after ordering crème brûlée for dessert. According to the manager on duty, the two chefs rotate between salads and desserts and, at the end of the evening, give preference to the salads. As a result, people have often waited for desserts as the two chefs are making entrees or salads. So at a fairly expensive meal, there are literally no servers to be found to say 'hey, given the time frame, let me get the bill' we are held hostage waiting for our dessert to come. (While we waited another couple parked, came inside the restaurant. ordered dessert and port, finished the meal and packed up to leave all during the time we waited on a dessert we had ordered before they parked to enter.) That's terribly disappointing for what could be a nice night. And there is a fix that is as common as what happens at Chick Fil-a or any other much less elevated dining experience: 'our crème brûlée and desserts may take a while, perhaps order something else or not at all.' But to sit in an intimate restaurant for 30 minutes without a sever -- any server -- in sight as they gather listlessly on their phones is not the experience you'd expect for an elevated and pricey dining experience. Given this is a known issue, where management or ownership glibly just says, 'sorry thanks for the feedback', I'd have to recommend avoiding Kitty Dare, as my experience could be yours and they seem indifferent to your night out. The food generally is a decent, competent if underwhelming value wise, Italian take on Persian food. That said, there are places that do better of both, close by that are much more interested in your dining experience. read more
