We've been coming here for a while now and so far we're still loving it! Small cozy place good for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We love everything we have tried so far but a couple of our favorites are their breakfast sandwich and their cinnamon rolls. I believe the cinnamon rolls are baked only on weekends. A cute, quaint deli for American farm-to-table fare and baked goods just a stones throw away from the beach! For dine in, the food arrives pretty quickly but there isn't much seating and the parking is very limited. I also found a hair baked into my banana bread, which was unfortunate. That said, the portions are pretty generous and the Patsy's salad with avocado, chicken, beets, and kale was incredibly fresh and high quality. I ordered the pastrami and it looked great but when I bit in the pastrami it had a lot of veins and it was difficult to bite. Every bite after was the same unfortunately so I wouldn't recommend this sandwich. I did LOVE the baguette though. If I try another sandwich I would get it on the baguette. This place is absolutely amazing!! When we were volunteering with Locale magazine today for the various fires that are going on in California right now, they donated lunch to all of us! I got the veggie sandwich and my husband got the turkey sandwich. I absolutely loved mine and my husband said that he enjoyed it and that it was very good with the honey mustard. My mom could go to any Michelin Star restaurant, recreate any dish on the menu, and you wouldn't know the difference between the 5star chef and hers. I have seen this darling place for years, but never stopped in; I'm so glad that I did today for a late breakfast. The restaurant doesn't look like much until you walk in, then you are greeted by a quaint, clean and cozy place that beckons you to try everything. I looked over reviews and saw that the breakfast sandwich looked to be one of the top sandwiches, so I tried it and added bacon and avocado. Wow, it was HUGE and looked beautiful! The thick-cut bacon was piled on, along with cheddar cheese; the brioche bun was soft and flavorful, the fried egg was perfect and the avocado was soft and plentiful. The sandwich is delicious and certainly not your standard fried egg! (I could only eat 1/3 because it was so big.) I read that the cookies were also fab, so I ordered a peanut butter, then asked the checkout gal what other cookies were great to take home and she suggested chocolate chip and pecan shortbread. There is plenty to look at while you wait for your food to be prepared, like holiday gifts, Voluspa candles, decorative cocktail napkins, books, etc. There is also a small market inside that serves deli items. I took the food to go and heated the sandwich at home. I also tried a bite of each cookie (for science reasons, of course). The food is amazing whether you take something to go or get something there everything is fabulous. They actually make the food there. It looks terrific and it taste terrific if you don't know what to get please ask somebody at the counter. The service is wonderful. They are super friendly. I'm so nice, I had questions and they couldn't be nicer and went out of their way to help me. It is super quaint seating inside or it's nice. You can sit outside. I highly recommend it. There's also a little market (hence the name), with items like fruit, eggs, beer, flowers and random gifts. We ordered the godmother sandwich, which is piled high with several meats and veggies on ciabatta. Large enough to split between two if you're not super starving. Great lunch portion for us. I was like is this from the day before? I talked to an older lady who looked like she could be the manager about how this cookie didn't taste as good as the peanut butter cookie, and she told me it was supposed to taste like that because it was a shortbread cookie. The guy never told me it was a shortbread cookie, and there was no signage to tell me otherwise. She did not care that I didn't like the cookie. She did not care that there was no signage. She also did not care that she adds a percentage to all her customers for her employees' insurance without letting us know beforehand. I asked her if I could have a different cookie, and she said I could buy another one. She is so emotionless, stoic, no smiles, no putting the customer first. I told her this was my first time at this place and that I Yelp a lot. I, unfortunately, had to put that out there. How are you going to tell me to buy another one of your description-less, cookies, take another chance and waste my money on who knows what? I uncomfortably pulled up some courage to tell you one of your cookies does not taste very good. You could have easily said sorry let's get you a different one. I'm sorry there are no signs to tell you otherwise. I'm sorry my cashier didn't tell you what it was. But, no. You had to get rude on your behalf for $3.25. Then, she started talking about me to someone next to her who was staring me down. I ordered John's Sandwich ($12) which had turkey, mozzarella, pesto on sourdough bread. It's a panini so the bread is grilled. I also added on a kale caesar salad ($5.95) for good measure. The sandwich was delicious - I love a good turkey, pesto situation. The mozzarella added a depth of texture because it was light and airy and went well with everything else. My biggest gripe is that I ordered through Postmates and was ultimately charged nearly $50 dollars. My sandwich and salad equated maybe $18, but with the fees and tipped, I anticipated $26. I checked and it was $39 - wtf. And then I was asked to tip on top of the that, it was ridiculous bc I unknowingly tipped $8 because you know, it's hard these days. The food and pastries are good it's a shame the service is so terrible. I've been coming here for breakfast on and off about a year. They used to have younger cashiers that always gave attitude and made it feel you were an inconvenience they had to deal with while taking your order. To add to that they always automatically charge a gratuity fee on top of your order. So unbeknownst to me I was already being charged a tip for their poor service. Stopped coming back for a while because of it. Today I was really craving one of their pastries and decided against my better judgement to come back. He had the pastrami reuben and the rest of us ordered the roast beef, my favorite, and tuna melt. They all came with a side of pickles, and let me just say that those pickles are to-die-for. This delicious little market is connected to it's swanky bigger restaurant, and is just across the street from the beach. It has lots of convenient parking. No need for valet. There is picnic table style seating outdoors, making it casual enough for leisurely late breakfast but the quality of the food and drink is not lazy. It has a deli, some cafe fare, espresso, imported bottled cold drinks, and a small curated collection of books, tools, gifts. I really enjoyed the deli to go. Every time I'm in the area I go get me a New Port PoBoy and a peanut butter cookie can't go wrong

I really wanted to love this place. We share a similar first initial. It's on my motorcycle route and from facade appearances it seems like a perfect fit...they sell some nice wines, they have a beautiful pastry display and they even have a small fine cheese cooler. That said that's where the good stops. The first time I went here I got a dulce de Leche latte and it tasted like bad iced coffee with cinnamon in top. Very basic and not tastey. The second time i go here, today, I get a quiche, the turkey sandwiches and an breakfast sandwich along with an iced vanilla latte. The latte once again tastes like gas station iced coffee and not a latte. The breakfast sandwich was basic with no sauces or thrills. An overcooked egg and bacon that's about it. Then my turkey sandwich is the most bland I've ever had a sandwich. It has mayo, basic low quality turkey tomato lettuce and one slice of cheese, no aioli or anything to bring it to the next level. The cheese and turkey quality is worst than subway. I'd give them a one star but their pastries have been pretty decent. I think the issue is that the owner or head chef may have lost a passion along the way for cooking because food wise and drink wise it's extremely one dimensional with no passion in it. I've had strip mall liquor store sandwiches that have tasted more delicious then here. I do wish them all the best but unfortunately I won't be going back anytime soon. They need to reinvent their menu and add some flavor/sauces. read more
