Parking is always easy, the employees are always really nice and my food and coffees have been great. My fave is their Caesar salad but ordered as a wrap, and it is in my top rankings of all Caesar wraps. I get it every single time I'm home! Their baked goods always look fantastic too. read more

I'm kind of shocked with the great reviews because both times I've eaten here the food was less than mediocre. I ate here a few months ago for breakfast, and I recall not being impressed with the breakfast sandwiches we had. The coffee was good, although my latte was sweeter than I prefer. Came back today to give it another chance since it's in the neighborhood and they have a variety of items to choose from. Ended up with two sandwiches and an iced latte. The sandwiches are mediocre at best. The sourdough bread doesn't taste fresh, and the side salad looks like wilted bag salad. All of this for $41. Next time I'll head to pavilions and buy sandwich stuff for half the price. Service was fine, and the pastries look good. read more

This is the place to be ... leisurely breakfast, coffee to go and meeting friends. Dropped in on a Saturday morning and the place was packed with a hustle and bustle, even hearing Happy Birthday being sung to a seasoned (read senior) guest. 30 minutes later it cleared out. Almond croissant was huge and had a nice crisp. Oatmeal was creamy. It was accompanied by sugar in the raw it seemed instead of brown sugar. Years ago when I was a college student (which was almost 2 decades ago), I used to go to their Irvine location. I loved their lattes and baked goods. I was surprised that they moved to Newport Beach, but it was good for me and my husband since our hotel was close by. We got here pretty early on a Sunday morning so parking wasn't too bad. The drinks and bakery items were still as good as I remembered! We would definitely go back if we are ever in Newport again! read more

Horrible catering experience! Paid up the nose for bagels for a business meeting (I think it was $4 per bagel). I asked for a variety and when they got delivered, I received 50% plain, 25% cinnamon raisin, and 25% jalapeño cheese. They were hard as rocks, and I'm almost positive we received say old leftovers. The delivery was late, and I didn't receive the butter and jelly I was promised. The delivery person was unapologetic and seemed totally clueless. They had to go get the butter and jelly and come back. Not that it mattered because no one ate the bagels anyway. Will be going to Shirley's instead from now on. Way more reliable! read more

5 star food: Large portions. The chicken wrap, sandwich & salads were all fresh. All 4 items we ordered were yummy. We especially liked the cobb & apple walnut salad. The chicken wrap was filled with large pieces of chicken meat. 5 star location & seating. Cute ambiance with some indoor seating. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas at tables. 3 star service today: they bundled 2 separate meal orders on one table number. While I was in the restroom my friends meal was delivered, our number was taken off the table & after 10 min I never got mine. My other friends all received their meals pretty quickly after ordering. Good coffee and well put tasty whole wheat bagel sandwiches! The Belgian waffles wowed our kiddo ! The service was fast even though there was a constant drip of people. The staff is super nice and pays attention to customers even when the place is busy. They wowed our kid by surprising him with a bowl of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup! Stopped by this place for a coffee & breakfast. Ended up ordering the cold brew with oat milk along with the "house special" breakfast bagel on a croissant. To be honest, it was great! Only thing I could say is that the prices were a bit steep for what I ended up getting-- Sausage, egg & cheese sandwich for $8. It's definitely a cute spot with some great food options, and the coffee is amazing, but the breakfast sandwich quality is something you could find anywhere else for around half the price. Everytime I come here, the service is great. I forget who, either Johanna or Isabel or the guy; One always recognizes me and they're friendly. Anyways, the food is good, the baked goods are good, overall great a little pricey but again it is Newport Beach. Good place to just relax and enjoy a baked good and coffee drink. The service here was quick and concise, the baristas were friendly and helpful with ordering and were exactly what you should expect from a craft coffee shop. There wasn't anything overtly special about the mocha that I ordered. It was a bit chocolate heavy and the coffee flavor didn't push through much at all, but every place does it a bit different. It wasn't bad by any means! We didn't try any food or pastries, but the offerings all looked pretty good. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you want a good coffee joint in the area.

We grabbed some cinnamon rolls to go which we'll have tomorrow morning. They look and smell amazing. This place is worth a visit!

Was visiting Newport Beach and stopped by littlle Billy's…read more It had a line out the door and had me intrigued. I sat down and was immediately greeted by Billy himself. He was very friendly and acted as if we were long time friends. You order up at the front counter and then they bring the food to you. We tried a little bit of everything. Their burger which was super simple but really tasty! Their breakfast burrito which was a classic. But the star of the show was the pastrami breakfast tacos I have never had anything like that before. It was so good and I will definitely be back for that! We ended the day with some pancakes which was a nice treat! The area is small but very homey. I will definitely be back! Thanks Billy!

Parking is easy there's a lot. Customer service is great. The shop is small on the inside and limited limited seating, but has several tables outside the shop. The lady who helped me - dark hair, really overly colorful eye makeup, and tattoos - processed the transaction but handed me the card without a receipt. When I asked for one, she spent a moment at the screen and then told me she couldn't print it because she had already closed out my tab. I was confused why 1) she didn't give me a receipt in the first place, then 2) she decided that was the only solution - to tell me it could not be done. After I asked her to find a solution as I needed a copy of the receipt, she finally asked her colleague beside her, who pointed her to the right place, and, voila, the receipt was printed. Leading with "I can't" is never the right customer service instinct, especially for something as basic as a receipt. I also tried to buy the butter they import from France. I stood at the case for several minutes with no acknowledgment. I finally walked over to the nearest employee (her name was Lucy) who was finishing up with a customer at the register right next to the butter section. I politely asked if she could help me when she was free. She looked at me, nodded, and said she would. Then proceeded to assist every customer who lined up behind that original customer without once glancing back in my direction. In fact, I had enough time to walk to the bakery, go through the entire gift card situation as mentioned above, and return to the butter section, and Lucy still hadn't looked over. I left without the butter. Moulin used to have fantastic service. I don't know where those regulars went, but two strikes in one visit, with two different employees, is hard to brush off.
