    The gumbo quiche and salad
    Mary B.

The good -Nice people -Fast service -Variety of things sweet and savory -One of the few places that stay open past 5pm with quick lite bites Nice area outside to sit and work at a table if it's nice out. The could be better for my type vibe -High prices for what you get Eg They charge $18 for a slice of quiche and a salad. -The quiche has little to no crust and little to no eggs? It's a quiche these are two big no nos - the gumbo quiche was mostly a goulash of mushy veggies and cheese. This is not a quiche - the salad was iceberg lettuce, sliced baby tomatoes and sliced cucumber served with balsamic vinegar (switched to ranch) Parking is tricky on crowded days or at peak times. Won't be back unless I'm on the island and really need to eat something. Bummer as this island is so nice but they need better food options. May try something else another time.

Love that this place is homey Options for food go from large pastries, sandwich's, sausages, and breakfast options too! But best, they have Corndogs!!! I stopped in for a sandwich on a quiet Tuesday during lunch hour at 12:15pm. As for food: I ordered the Italian Chicken Melt and it wasn't made right. I asked for no tomato but it came with no onions and regular mayo, there def wasn't any pesto in this. Tasted just like a mayo chicken sandwich with bacon. I would have def got something different. I've previously ate here and had their corn dog and calm chowder which was great- so I do recommend those. Just not that sandwich.

If you're looking for a delightful place to grab a bite at Balboa Island, Crocker's should definitely be at the top of your list of places to eat in the Newport area! The owner is very helpful and made us laugh! Definitely great customer service and suggestions. What we tried: Clam Chowder (so good) Beer Battered Cod (light & crispy) Fried Zucchini (great substitute for fries) Pecan pie (warmed) Everything was delicious!

Stopped in here for dinner last night because we took bikes onto Balboa island. The vibe is very casual and it's walk up and order and they bring food to table. Only a few spots for seating so probably better for carry out. They offer all day breakfast options which I am a huge fan of. Being a vegetarian, I was also happy with the number of vegetarian options I had. I chose the avocado veggie burger. The burger was just okay but the avocado and lettuces they had on the burger was so fresh and the brioche bun was fab. The slaw also excellent. Would definitely go back for carry out!

The ambiance is cool and small to give a very cozy feel! The food options were great to choose from! The prices are a bit too steep in my opinion for the basic flavors in the sandwiches. Good nonetheless for an option down here in the island!

TL:DR - Excellent customer service, great burger, AMAZING Hello Dolly pastry. My girlfriend and I came out to Balboa island to see the Christmas boat parade and had planned to grab food somewhere local. We wandered into Crocker's Abundant Table and were amazed at the pies, mini pies, and other baked goods. To top it off, the lovely couple behind the counter that run the place were so pleasant that we had to try their food. I got the bacon big burger and my girlfriend got the sunrise bowl. We also grabbed a "hello dolly" which is like a bar of sorts, with a graham crust, chocolate, granola top crust, and toasted coconut. We took our food to the beach and began to watch as the boats drove by. The burger is massive! It is probably the biggest burger I've had in a decade. The patty and bun are probably 7in across and it's thick! The flavor tasted like the quintessential burger and hit the spot! I was debating on whether to get fries with my burger, but by the time I was finished, I was stuffed. The tortilla chips were more than good enough to satisfy me. Then I took a bite of the Hello Dolly and my world exploded! It has such a great texture and flavor that I kept eating it, even though I was full. Imagine a smore but without the marshmallows and with the hearty crunch of a granola bar. We loved it so much that we went back for another before we left. Overall, an incredible find and somewhere I would definitely return to if I'm ever back on Balboa island.

Simple but great food! Everything was good. Fish sandwich. Onion rings and coleslaw. Fresh brewed coffee choices and tea.

This meal-sized Cobb Salad ($14, with homemade Bleu Cheese infused Ranch Dressing) is best in class. Delicious!

While I always expect to consume an indulgently perfect frozen banana when on Balboa Island I'd not have counted on finding there a perfect Cobb Salad, much less in what I mistakenly assumed was a hot dog outpost. Huh? Crocker's Abundant Table is connected at the hip with Crocker's Well Dressed Frank and, during the evening I visited, both counters were being manned by the same person who turned out to be the owner. The menu here is extensive and, while far from fancy (think burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more; the menu is bountiful), I could not stop eyeing it. As I was eating this perfect Cobb Salad I was imagining how good everything else must taste as well. Though the place has very few tables at which to dine, I sat atop a high chair at a counter which opened out to Marine Avenue. With Sinatra crooning away, a glass of wine, and a gorgeously fresh and tasty Cobb Salad ("we use organic ingredients wherever we can" said the owner) in front of me it was the perfect spot from which to observe activity on the main street. I was surprised to see that the Cobb Salad is served with what the menu says is a Ranch Dressing and I requested instead a Blue Cheese Dressing. How do they handle this request? They add Blue Cheese crumbles to the homemade Ranch Dressing and it's delicious. Prior to this, my favorite Cobb Salad in all of Orange County could be found at Santa Ana's Crave Restaurant. It's enormous and also served with homemade dressing. I pretty much like Crave's entire menu. The Cobb Salad here is not as big - though it's plenty ample - but it's equally perfect and, given the quality of ingredients (the chicken is particularly moist, the bacon thick and rich as only the best bacon is) and the care of presentation, I can only assume that the rest of their menu is executed just as deliciously as this one item. I look forward to exploring a lot more of the menu.

After a nice walk around the island, we stopped in Crocker's Abundant Table for breakfast. The pies in the case were tempting, but we kept our focus and ordered breakfast. We were fortunate to grab the window seat. It's a nice spot to eat, people watch and chat. The food was good, as well as the cappuccinos.

Spent a wonderful Mother's Day evening at our favorite stop in Balboa. Thank you for the warm hospitality and recommendations Lucine, we loved everything! Don't forget to add your $1 art to the wall when you're there. Ours is near the WiFi. :)

This tiny place is a perfect spot for lunch or if you're having a sweet craving, because there are many choices to choose from. We opted for lunch, daily quiche, cobb salad, and their burger and garlic fries. Did not have any room for desserts but saw a lot calling my name. This place is as charming as its community Balboa Island.

Still as awesome as ever and open. They are really basically the same place as the Crocker's Well Dressed Frank and currently are just taking orders for both menus from this side They have very limited seating outside and I mean really limited, basically two small bench / tables that seat two each. The menu still has a great variety, and I'm going to try to basically put this same review on the other "half" of the place which has the sandwich, bakery and coffee items. Anyway, go!!!

This is a very cute little place to stop by for coffee, sweets, a snack or a glass of wine, the server/barista, Sharon, was super sweet and friendly, and the service was very fast.
