Stepping in, the cafe has a lot of seating and I can see how it'd be nice to study in. I ordered Kashimiri Chai and the drink was so light and the cardonom really shines through. Their banana pudding is DIVINE, it is on the sweeter side but it's homemade and you fs tell! They also make their syrups in houseee! I tried the House chai but I ended up prefering the Kashimiri Chai! I'll def be coming back for more since the staff kept raving about their coffee. Sarah and Patrick were the sweetest! This place is incredibly nice and has a fantastic atmosphere for productivity. If you need to get some work or studying done, this is a prime spot--they have a ton of outlets available, which is a massive plus. The bathrooms are also exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which always makes a long study session much more comfortable. My only real complaint was the wait time and communication. I ordered a drink and went to sit outside to get some work done. After it took quite a while for my order to come out, a staff member finally came outside to inform me that they had actually run out of yuzu. It felt a little disorganized and off that it took so long just to realize they were out of an ingredient. Despite the awkward ordering delay, the overall environment is excellent. Chailo fits the definition of a coffee shop. That's the best way I can describe it. I was delighted to discover that they offer a membership for avid coffee drinkers. Overall we had a good time visiting Chailo the other day! The cafe is a very nice spot, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (on a warmer day, would love to sit outside on the patio). I believe the owner was working there the day we stopped in. He was so friendly, which we especially appreciated since it was our first time. We both got the caramel date lattes. The flavor of this is very nice, but for my preference I felt like it almost had a grainy texture. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other lattes the offer (banana bread latte? Unfortunately, we didn't one warning trying to get a cup of coffee, but found out quickly that they didn't have any decaf. Also right before I order they had to turn down another customer because they didn't have rose flavored syrup to make a specific drink for that person, and it was only 9 AM on a Saturday morning. I will be going back because I didn't get to try anything currently I can only have the cat so I'll come back with someone else so we can try some of it and I could take a few tips of the drink so I don't get too caffeinated per my doctors orders. Stopped by while in the area for the DMV. Unfortunately Chailo didn't open until 9 which was a little later than I was used to for a coffee shop. Once inside, Chailo had a very open seating area with a lot of seating. Once at the counter, I was greeted promptly. I ordered a hot almond milk latte and my order came out pretty quick (I was just second in line though). The latte was the right temperature, but the latte left a bit of an acidic taste on the back of my tongue. It was almost like the espresso was under extracted. Chailo was so cute! At first I was worried about not being able to find parking but there is a small lot in the back with about 7 spaces. I went on a Monday around 11am and it was empty. Their matcha was good as well - I got a double matcha with oatmilk and I loved it. Compared to other cafes, it tasted of great quality and was well made. I was sad to see Nice Burger shut down, but Chailo is the perfect concept to fill the gaping hole in my heart. I visited for the first time a few weeks back and was so impressed by their unique menu of chai. I've always been a chai fan, but sometimes avoid ordering the beverage because I need more caffeine. Chailo has got you covered. These bevies are heavily caffeinated, so you can sip on these fall vibes while powering up. The inside has a decent number of seats, but they're very low on outlets. There's also an enclosed patio, but the nearby street is a bit too noisy for working, imo. Also, can we talk about its proximity to the local Goodwill? Thrifting with a latte in hand is my idea of the perfect weekend. I'd recommend visiting pre-or-post thrift. Excited to return to explore more of the menu. Chailo is a small coffee shop located near Triangular Square in Costa Mesa. They have indoor seating as well as patio seating. The decor is a bit minimalistic and could definitely use some work. The 1 or 2 dessert options they had here looked disappointing. Kashmiri Chai ($6) - Rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. It's a comforting drink that I have made at home. I do wish that they had included a sprinkle of pistachio nuts as well as some biscuits to dip in it it. Overall, I did enjoy my drink and my co-workers enjoyed there drinks as well (Spanish Latte). Overall my experience here was 3.5 but I'm rounding them up to 4 because they are a new business. I saw this spot on social media and it really lived up to the hype! The interior was super cute and sleek, and tons of spots for studying. They have placed heaters on their patio to keep customers warm, which is a thoughtful touch. This is a great spot to bring family and friends for a late night treat or to get some studying done during the day. I've been super into the show, The Summer I Turned Pretty, lately, and saw that they were hosting a watch party, so of course I made plans with a friend to go.
