So I have a love hate relationship with with Salty Horse Love: - vibes and decor - sift bakery goodies especially the cinnamon rolls - thick cut bacon - matcha options - Hawaiian cowboy latte - legit eggs Hate: - the long line during peak hours on the weekend - running out of cinnamon rolls at 10am on Saturday - prices are a bit high

The tropical salad was very good, I liked that it had different fruit and dates in it. And the mango dressing was refreshing with the other ingredients. I added the 5oz ribeye steak which paired well with the salad imo! The honey almond milk latte here was super good too! Line can get long around lunch time especially on weekends but they take the order pretty fast and food comes out relatively fast as well. Parking was a bit hard to find but there's a very tiny lot in the back of the restaurant and also street parking in front.

Unfortunately everytime I would try to go during normal coffee times the line is out the door! Finally was able to try for a late coffee and had the drinks we had were so good! Strawberry bronco (Chocolate strawberry) iced latte and a Buckaroo (London fog with espresso). The London fog drink was a rec from the cashier and it was so good! Small place want to come back to try the food but maybe during non popular times.

It's an odd layout, you order on the left side and it can get crowded and snug. You're pretty much trapped there until you order and then you have to go back the same way. Our order: 1) Hawaiian Cowboy 2) Berries & Cream 3) JH Breakfast Burrito 4) Salty Red Breakfast Burrito 5) GF Toffee Coffee The cashier was super friendly and memorable because last minute I wanted to change my milk choice and she was super nice about it - which was greatly appreciated. No surprise but a majority of the tables were already taken. The exterior of the building is very cool - I love the color of the outside. Inside is also very hip. My drink looked better than it tasted, but it wasn't bad. I just felt like it was milk forward than anything else. The Jh Burrito was yummy and the green sauce it came with was insanely good! Cookie was also amazing! Would gladly pay $5.00 every single time for that cookie!

Cowboy Steak Fries, Campfire French Toast, Coco Drift, Jasmine Coast

So glad to finally have tried Salty Horse, and it definitely met the hype - the ambiance, drinks and food all were great! We got the Campfire French Toast and Cowboy Steak Fries and honestly enjoyed both. The french toast was yummy -- not overly sweet, topped with fruit and graham cracker crumbles for that little crunch that totally fits the campfire theme. The steak fries were solid, though the steak came out a touch more done than the medium we ordered -- minor thing overall. For drinks, we ordered the Coco Drift and Jasmine Coast -- the names alone are cute and very on brand. Coco Drift was my order and it was a seasonal item, but I hope it becomes permanent one day. I'm a huge coconut water matcha person and this met my standards - super refreshing, and the matcha and coconut water were balanced from each other. The space is really charming -- beachy and coastal with warm rustic wooden touches that make it feel cozy. It all ties together in a way that actually matches the name, which I appreciate. Service was super friendly too, everyone was really welcoming. Street parking only and there's usually a line, but both moved faster than expected and it wasn't difficult to find seating. Overall just a really fun spot -- would definitely be back!

Great casual vibes with a variety of options for food items. There's 1 pubic restroom and good amount of seating outside and inside. It looks like it can be busy on the weekends though. I had visited a few weeks back when they had the collab with Polite Society so I tried the Tiramisu Latte - definitely on the sweeter side but still good and creamy. Note: Parking can be difficult since it's basically all neighborhood parking available.

Wait is roughly 30 minutes on Sunday after 1pm. Parking is only on streets and be wary of the signs of no parking in adjacent buildings. Place is hidden so have to walk around the neighborhood and shop to find this place. Food was interesting. Salty yes like the name. The bagel was a bit on the saltier side with the smoked salmon but figure it was the salted cream and smoked salmon. The fried chicken on ube waffle was on the dry side. Drinks are great. Outdoor seating was alright. Need more staff to assist the one staff there running around.

This place is really relaxing to come with a small party (4 or less) for in-person dine in. They don't have large tables so anything larger might be a challenge to find seating (open seating based on availability). The table turnovers seem pretty quick though. Very little indoor seating and limited/shaded outdoor seating. Overall it's a nice place to grab a small bite to eat and a drink for lunch. I wouldn't recommend the grilled chicken sandwich (fried is probably better), because the chicken was really dry and it made the sandwich taste dry overall. The steak frites and Cali burrito, on the other hand, were decent and my friends liked these entrees as well! Their French fries are SUPERB, it's the perfect crisp on the outside and has that crunch when you bite in to it. I ordered the Berries and Cream matcha drink and it was good but nothing amazing for me. I also tried the one with banana foam and didn't like it too much. The matcha taste was minimal and seemed a bit overpowered by whatever milk / oat milk variation added to it. Friends also ordered just an iced americano and didn't really like the coffee. There's very limited parking in the area - street parking only. So try to carpool. Service staff are all very nice.

    Chicken Caesar Wrap (secret menu)

Parking situation is a bit odd and limited since building is a bit tucked in-- however, the atmosphere and interior of this more lowkey spot really adds to the vibe. Mostly outdoor seating with limited indoor seating, however there is plenty of shade and eating outside is quite nice. We came on Tuesday around 2 pm and it was pretty busy but not packed. We were able to find a table to eat at immediately after ordering and there wasn't a line. Not sure how it is on a weekend though. Chicken Caesar Wrap (3/5): underwhelming and fell a bit flat in terms of flavor for their caesar sauce. Didn't love this one but it was alright to eat. Steak Sandwich (5/5): Wow this was so delicious! Steak was really juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. Everything blended together really well and I thought this was a great portion. Very messy to eat though so beware! Fries were good but nothing crazy. Banana Matcha (5/5): This was so good! They sifted the matcha powder before whisking it and it wasn't gritty at all. Matcha was a nice strong flavor while still being smooth and a bit nutty w oat milk. Foam wasn't artificial banana which was yummy. I liked that it was a banana pudding esque matcha. Also not too sweet for me personally. Pink Sunset (4/5): Refreshing and pretty good, but a bit too sour (has orange juice) and also too sweet at the same time. The colors on the smoothie were absolutely gorgeous though. Would definitely come back here. Such a great spot to go to for brunch, though I wouldn't want to wait in a long line to eat here.

Stopped by at opening & there was no wait. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable about their drinks. I wanted something on the sweet end and they were able to accommodate (: There is a small parking lot and there is also street parking as well. I will definitely have to come by again to grab food to compliment my coffee!

Absolutely amaze! I've gone to salty horse a couple of times now, and have tried both their breakfast menu items as well as their lunch/dinner items. I really have no complaints, I've enjoyed everything I've gotten from here and even think they have some of the best burritos I've had in Orange County. I think their drink ideas are cute, creative, and fit well with the western cowboy theme that the restaurant has. Sometimes the matcha can be a little watered down but still pretty good. Service is always friendly and helpful! I like the outdoor open concept for dining and it's great for the sunny OC weather. Parking is a bit of a challenge though and it can get quite packed during busy hours, so I always recommend people to go at more awkward times of day.

12/10. Love the ambience, indoor and outdoor seating, food and beverages. A new favorite spot of mine for sure. The service was great. All staff were attentive. Loved the strawberry matcha and steak frites. The food was super flavorful and decently priced. Loved the coastal cowboy vibe and aesthetic. Inside there's lots of cute gift options. I also saw a good amount of people with their laptops getting work done. There's a breakfast/brunch menu along with lunch. Looking forward to trying the breakfast burrito next time!

My friend and I went on a Monday at noon and it was packed. We were able to snag a table after people got up to leave, but they didn't bus their own table, so we had to take their plates to the bussing area. There were no employees to be found to clean the table. It would be nice if they had an employee whose sole job it is to clean tables and clear the bin of dirty plates - it was stacked sky high when we left. I didn't order any drinks, but I really liked my bacon breakfast burrito. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. My friend ordered the steak frites medium rare, and it was cooked very poorly. Some of it was super rare and other parts were very cooked. She only ate a few bites - the fries were good though! I might be tempted to go back when the hype dies down, but if it's that busy on a Monday, it seems like it'll be a long time until my next visit. I would definitely order the breakfast burrito again.

What I Love: * Unique Flavors: The food tastes great and they have some really unique touches. I love that they serve raspberry jam with their toast--it's a nice change from the standard grape or strawberry. * Homemade Quality: It's really cool that they do their own house-made potatoes and even their own homemade ketchup. You can tell they put effort into the details. The Drawbacks: * Pricing & Fees: I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could, but I'm sticking with 4 because it's definitely on the pricey side. What really bugs me is seeing a mandatory tip/service charge for certain group sizes on the receipt. Between the expensive menu and the fact that they are constantly busy with plenty of business, it feels like price gouging. * Parking: The parking lot is very small, so be prepared for a bit of a struggle to find a spot, especially since they are always packed. Final Thoughts: The food and unique house-made items keep me coming back, but be prepared for a high bill and a tight parking situation.

We ordered the combo kabob plate, the Bayshore pizza, and finished with baklava. The combo plate was much larger in person than expected and could easily feed two people, but we were hungry and wanted to try the pizza as well. The meats were seasoned very well and extremely juicy. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the beef kabob was soft enough to almost melt in your mouth. The Bayshore pizza was more of a pan-style pizza with a unique cheese blend instead of traditional mozzarella. Make sure to ask for the pizza dip too, it has a tangy flavor that pairs really well with it. The warm baklava filled with pistachios was a great dessert to finish the meal. Service was friendly throughout the visit, and I appreciated that the restaurant cooks without seed oils because the meal did not feel overly heavy afterward. The interior is upscale and cozy with fresh flowers on each table, and the atmosphere feels great for both casual dinners and events. They also offer catering and private parties, which made me consider coming back for a graduation event in the future. The kabobs are definitely the highlight and are worth trying.

And it came from a breakfast joint, which is super rare in and of itself. Having lived in Southern California for many many years, I thought I had seen and experienced just about everything in the way of good places to eat. As I was driving around looking for some breakfast, I stumbled across oeb breakfast. And I am so glad I did. For starters, when you walk through the door, the place is bright and Cherry and has just the right amount of whimsy. It's neatly laid out and everything is in full view. It only took a moment my server to come get me at the front and direct me to a table. Let's talk about the service. Having been in the food service industry, I know what it takes to have a great dining experience. Caesar, who was my waiter, took care of me in a level that I have not seen in a very long time. Personable, gracious, accommodating, and helpful are just a few of the words I would use to describe my experience being served by him. I asked for coffee and water and within moments it arrived on my table. Side note, the coffee is off the chain! It is a brand called Umbria and it is amazing. After scanning the menu, I opted for the beef bulldogi Benedict with the beef Tallow fries. I asked for the fries extra crispy, and ask for my milk to be served with breakfast. If you've read any of my Yelp reviews on breakfast places, you know that that is one of my litmus tests for the accuracy of the order. If I have to ask for my milk after the meal's been delivered, they're not doing their job. Not that I'm picky, for me. It is just a way to determine how good of a listener the server actually is. It didn't take long at all for the food to be delivered. The presentation was absolutely amazing, as we eat with our eyes. First, I have to say that the way the food was plated was definitely a work of art. Once the food was dropped off half of me was going. I wonder if they will remember... And before I could finish my thought Caesar showed back up with the milk. Home run! The food itself was absolutely wonderful, I cannot remember when I have enjoyed a breakfast as much as this one. All the flavors were there, it was perfectly balanced, and was just a pleasant dining experience overall. Bragging on Caesar again, as I was sitting there, the restaurant started to get very busy, he handled himself with such Grace and poise and didn't let the mounting tension frazzle him. Again, I wish this place was in my hometown so I could come here more often, but you can bet that I will be back here multiple times. Bottom line? There aren't many places that I would tell friends they definitely absolutely had to go to. But oeb breakfast is now on the top of the list for me to recommend to my friends.
