Pretty solid cafe. I got the Mayan mocha for here. Ended up being around 7.50. I thought the drink was good. The ganache on the bottom was very tasty and the spices they used were unique and a little spicy. The staff were sweet, and I got my drink very quickly too. I came to work, but they don't have Wi-Fi and all the outlets are covered, which definitely make it harder to get things done. They also didn't have a self serve place to get water, which I like to see in a cafe. They're located in a busy plaza, so finding a parking spot can be a hit or miss. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was very busy. All indoor and outdoor tables were filled. Great spot to get some work done or a simple coffee date. Service: The cashier at the register was nice. Throughput was quick & efficient after ordering. They also sell their own coffee beans. There's a great selection of pastries and parfaits for a quick breakfast. Drinks: I love their story of sourcing and roasting their own beans. They offer a great range of coffee. I'm a latte girly, so I decided to try the Caffe Napoli Latte. This had hazelnut and white chocolate. It was definitely on the sweeter end, but wow this tasted amazing! Even though it was sweet, the espresso still came through. Pricing: They have four different sizes - 8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz. Prices are as expected. I have been a huge fan of this place since it was rebirthed from Dietrich's coffee. I was sad to see the former place go, was super excited to see that it had not died completely. This is one of those if you know you know places. With so much corporate coffee out there, it's nice to find a place that really takes pride in small batch coffee. Parking can be slightly challenging, as this is a very busy strip mall. But if you're lucky you can get a parking spot right out front. Inside is warm and inviting, great friendly staff, who know their stuff and are willing to make suggestions. Plenty of seating options both inside and out, and on Spring and summer days the outside is definitely happening. To be honest, I have never had anything bad here. I always like to try the different baked goods and everything has been on point. Their coffee drinks are second to none, and I just can't say enough good things about this. I think if I was to open a coffee shop it would be just like this. You can't beat the people, the prices are reasonable, and the service is top notch. Bottom line? I really like Kean, it's my favorite local coffee joint! Especially the Turkish Latte it has an extraordinary taste to it. Rich & bold but not for everyone, it's for the daring type! The last time I ordered it... I was truly disappointed. Which ever staff made my hot latte screwed up. Taste like water down Latte! What's more sad? I was pregnant so I didn't have any caffeine for a long time! Finally had my child weeks ago & got a hot cup of Joe. Also, I recently learned they don't use the same coffee, they rotate their blend. I love the flavor of their coffee drinks and drop by here when I'm in the area. I absolutely love their blended ice cream coffee drinks, they really are a treat. As I sit outside and enjoy the weather I feel relaxed with my yummy coffee drink in hand. 100/10 experience!!!! Amazing seating both indoor and outdoors. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by multiple employees and they were all so lovely!!! The menu they offer is so big and different it has something for everyone!!! My boyfriend was so excited about all the different coffee, espresso options. Peachy, keen! The Turkish coffee was delicious and paired well with scone parm/chive scone. I usually just get plain black coffee but I really like their specialty drinks here. I met up with my hs friends (we've been friends for a looonnng time) while at home and it was so great to see them but this place brings back memories of our hang outs. The price was pretty typical. They accepted contactless payment. The service was relatively quick, especially considering how busy it was . The barista's answered our questions. I was impressed by the amount of things available to add to the drink on the side. - cinnamon, shakers, cocoa powder, shakers sweetener packets, etc. They even had bottles of milk and creamer. It was pretty busy so there were not any seats available, but there were a good amount of seats in there. When looking for high quality, there's no where else in the area that you can confidently say can top Kean Coffee Artisan Roasters! The story behind the coffee shop was opened by the owner who was trained by Martin Diedrich, a respected and highly successful for artisan coffee and innovative coffee roasting. The results are telling in the coffee here and as other reviews say, taste and quality are top notch. Having said this, you can't really go wrong with any type of coffee you order. The only criticism I can say is the lack of WIFI and outlets that the coffeeshop purposely appears to lack. I completely understand the push to make the environment one that cultivates a social atmosphere, but in this day and age a lot of folks have the goal to come to a coffeeshop to be productive and would need to connect to internet. I do respect the movement however, and this is what would make Kean a great date, friend hangout, or business meeting setting. Staff here is great and gets the coffee orders out quickly. Parking is usually easy but can be an issue at times when it gets busy. The bathrooms are outside on the side of the building and you'll need to ask for a key at the register to access them. read more
