Edit: May 26th, 2020 The manager of Samday Insurance in Van Huy's office called me and we have spoken about the policy and my review on Yelp. I've only had the policy for 8 days before I switched to progressive. He brought up some key points on how other insurance companies practiced selling their policies and how exhausting of searching for caring people that stand 100% on their products. He really believes in his services, and his hardworking employees and the great rates they're able to get. He explained everything in detail, where all my money was going, and being 100% honest. If you read the first review I wrote, I felt like they were hustling me. But it turns out they are hard-working people that really do care. Renee got me back to trusting them by reaching out and explaining a lot of things that I wasn't aware of in the State of California. Since I canceled my policy and I wanted to return to Samday Insurance, it was going to be another process. So I'm going to wait for my policy to end in 6 months and return to Sameday Insurance because it will save me money in the long run. With that said, after getting off the phone I called back 2 more times. And each time I was answered and was taken care of in a kindly matter. During those 2 times, I was able to get my premium returned from what I didn't use and most of the broker fee back. These are honest people. I'm confident to say they really care. Thanks Renee for reaching out and updating me with information. I'm satisfied doing business with Sameday Insurance. Original 5/20/2020 It's one of those hyped-up Insurance company that was recommended by a local car dealership. They're are the middle-man. They get paid by referrals and brokerage fees and saying they know this person. My agent was Anthony and he seemed cool at first, but I can tell he's in it for my money. $204 for broker fee and $130 for only 1 month of insurance is not worth it. He got me by saying it's a down payment and would go towards my first month and signup. After completed the verify documents in an email the insurance broker just sent a receipt. I didn't receive my policy number card or anything else in another email. I texted Anthony and asked if I can get my policy number. I have not heard from him. I tried calling the office and a person picked up, sounded like Anthony. And they transferred me to a voicemail. I had to log in to verify documents and research what I've got into. I have learned my lesson and I've should of read those documents thoroughly before signing. I would look elsewhere and not waste your time. Don't get rushed as I did and buy it right off the back. Please shop for other places and get different quotes. $203 broker fee is ridiculous. read more

Just Horrible Service, Horrible Customer Service, Down Right Crooks.. I asked for Liability on a 97 Toyota 4runner and only had $120 to work with, because of my SSI Monthly check, A Sharon in the Van Nuys Office, said it will be $350 down $81 a month? Told her didn't have that, but could do another $120 next month, and $81 after that. Gave her my Bank Card info, 20 min later she took out $240 for A-Max, $112.80 for Safeway, = $352.80. Cost Me a fee of $240, for a $112.80 Policy and $81.33 a month, with NO Approvel, No signed documents, asked for a complete refund, Got the $240 back, NO $112.80, because A Max didn't send Safeway a cancelation notice, for that Refumd. Now disputing that charge with my Bank. Two Supervisors just kept giving me a Song and Dance, could Careless About that Complete REFUND!! All just keep in my 4Runner in the Driveway, Ride My Bike, Way Cheeper. read more

They cancelled my policy unbeknownst to me and they sent a sketch letter explaining it was because of my ID. They charged me higher n higher the last few months and everytime I reached out they ignored me. They refused to send my id cards. Stay away from this place by all means. Deceitful and Cowardice are the only words to describe this company. Avoid them at all costs. They will financially drain you as much as possible under "fees" and "contracts" while having absolutely no hesitation about hurting someone's livelihood. No shame or compassion. Avoiding phone calls and making false promises shouldn't be normal business practice. Presenting yourself as helpful and kind before completely shutting down all methods of communication is such a horrible way to treat honest paying customers just trying to do their best to survive, especially in this current economy. I recently purchased an auto policy through A-Max, speaking with both Angela & Brisa. Both assured me that the insurance market was difficult at the current moment but they would find the best policy possible. Two months later, I found they've been dishonest and withholding about the amount of fees required, as well as the complete details of my auto policy. Asking for another $300 to rectify the situation, I obliged, this time speaking with Kevin, who promised that things would be settled quickly. After a request for a refund and the reassurance that the money would be returned to my bank account within 24-48 hours...a week later, I've found no way to speak to anyone at the company, my policy has been incorrectly underwritten, and my bank cannot reach A-Max for clarification about this claim dispute on the money not returned to me as promised. Something that should have been a straightforward necessity is now affecting my financial standing and causing more stress than necessary. It's a painful lesson to learn but if I can help anyone else avoid being taking advantage of by A-Max/Same Day Insurance, so be it. Please, please do not give these people your business. I was calling to get a quote for Auto insurance, red flag number one - the line continued to ring, and they never picked up. No answering machine. Not too long afterwards I get a call back, but the person who answered the phone didn't state who they were or what company they represented, so I was confused as to who I was speaking to. As I was trying to figure out and ask clarifying questions the man on the phone sounded annoyed, and had an attitude, wasn't friendly at all, rude. In my opinion, you can already certain things about a company based on how they talk to customer/ potential customers over the phone. I was so turned off by this interaction that I told the rep never mind and can he can disregard the call. before I could even finish my sentence, he hung up in my face. Same Day Insurance has gone down the drain. My agent Rene was extremely rude to me multiple times when I was trying to get a lower rate for my car insurance and was advised by Rene to wait for his call back, a week later I'm still waiting on that call from Rene. I ended up calling another broker which found me a rate $150 lower than what I had with Same Day Insurance. This took me 30 min to get set up with a new policy, why couldn't Same Day Insurance do that for me? What's the point in having them as a broker if they will not do their job? In conclusion, be aware of hidden fees and charges from Same Day insurance and really hope they do not try and hide any extra costs/fees for you if you do decide to use their business, however, I hope they do not have your trust because they lost all trust from me. read more

Worst experience ever. Albert took my information down, charged my card, then said his system went down so he'd call me back in 15 minutes. Two hours later of me calling multiple times and being transferred around by other unprofessional workers who didn't seem to know what they were doing to care for the situation and none wanted to transfer me to a supervisor. Finally one lady tries to help me and puts me on hold and then a man answered and said hello and when I said hello he hung up. After this Albert my original agent calls me and apologizes and tells me he got busy and left to lunch break and forgot. At this point I was heated and felt scammed because no other agent could find my file or information and even see that he charged me. After I confronted him he got aggravated and said I'm giving him a headache and he doesn't want to deal with me so instead proceeds to refund my transaction and didn't want to put a super visor on and hung up. read more

I wasn't looking for something cheaper, I was looking for someone who actually cared and would help people get the best auto ins quote. I received that in the beginning of my process, Erika helped me I thought "great found someone who cares and will take care of my auto ins needs" Wrong! - she tried to get money out of me the min I got there. Since I had already cancelled my insurance with the other company I had no other choice than to go with her and get the insurance. I kept it for 6 months. When we first went to her I asked her "if we decide to change insurance will there be an extra charge?" She said "no it'll be easy to do it" My 6 months were up and guess what it would be a fee of almost $180 just to switch me. Sameday insurance is the absolute worst insurance agency I have ever had to deal with. I recently purchased a new car so I switched the policy from my old car to the new one. I knew there would probably be some fluctuation of price, but not as extreme as the quote they gave me. So, I just went ahead and stayed with the same policy because I didn't want to have to deal with finding another company. Well the following week I received two more bills saying I owed more money. At this point I started to get a little frustrated so I just went to the agents office in Van Nuys. Once there, Ernesto was the agent that began to help me. He also didn't understand what was going on with my bill so he went to his manger Bill and it took a few minutes, but found what the issue was. I had to pay more money again or the policy was going to be cancelled in the middle of the month. Well then I asked Ernesto if we could search and see if there were any cheaper rates we could find with another insurance company and he did. After he searched for a little while with Bill the conclusion was that they were the cheapest as Ernesto handed me my policy paperwork. I then asked Ernesto when my next payment would be due and he told me October 25th as he looked on the paperwork again and I repeated it back to him to make sure I heard and understood him correctly. Well the next week I received another bill saying I owed again on September 25th, then I became really upset because I feel like I have been lied to several times at this point. Well I call the office and Ernesto is not there so I speak with Bill the office manager and he tells me that he will have to check with Ernesto on the issue of the billing and that he would call me the next day. Well that call never came from him and I decided to start to research on my own to see if I could get a cheaper policy. Well guess what I did find a cheaper policy, in fact, $32 dollars cheaper each month with more coverage than they offered. So I purchased the new policy and I call to cancel with them and now they want to charge a $35 cancellation fee. UNBELIEVABLY, THE WORST INSURANCE AGENTS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!!!! So if your looking for car insurance, do your own research and make sure that your getting the right quote amounts and check with other agents in the area. They lied to me a few times and did not follow through with what Bill told me he would do. I am not sure who I will need to talk to, but I think it's an elected office. Yes it is, I just researched it and it's Dave Jones, which holds the office of the California Insurance Commissioner. I myself will never ever trust these agents again. read more

They lied to my family about fees and the notes they have entered on their data base has been inaccurate at times. In my case, the monthly date to pay my policy and amount were incorrect. I came here because i had activity on my record and i knew my rates were going to be ridiculous.
