I am from out of town so I looked into finding a great nail salon for my long over due fill. After reading the reviews I was excited. However after my experience I am extremely disappointed. Nail tech seemed to care less about my nails. Did not realize that it was powder acrylic instead of gel until my nail bed was burning. Gave me the entirely wrong color. Asked for shorter nails, left with them barely trimmed and all at different lengths. Needless to say will not be returned and ruined my desire to get my nails done for a while. I've had a manicure in nearly every major city in the US, and a few internationally as well. I usually don't have very high expectations for Boise walk-in shops. Most tend to be a bit run down looking, many are poorly stocked with color options, and the language barrier at many can be troublesome when communicating what I'd like for my service. This shop is the exception. I had, without question, THE BEST manicure I've had in Boise, possibly the US. I got a no-frill gel manicure, but a soak, cuticle care (mine were trasssshhhhed), and hand/arm massage were included with the gel polish for $25. My nails and cuticles looked like I'd been trying to dig my way to the center of the earth with my hands when I entered and are gorgeous now. Tons of color and style options for gel and non-gel. Nice looking salon. I waited less than a minute from entering for my walk-in session to start. While Anh's English is minimal (he recently immigrated from Japan), he's incredibly friendly and nice. I would give ZERO stars if I could. I've been to this salon twice. Once with a coworker and another time with my mom. BOTH TIMES they didn't listen to us or what we wanted. My coworker recently got her nails done and just wanted a fill, the lady tried hard to convince her to get a full set. She wouldn't listen. She ended up cutting my coworkers nails so short, she was forced to get a full set. My coworker was not happy and her nails looked like crap. Then I decided to go with my mom, thinking my coworker was perhaps over reacting. Once again, they didn't listen to my mom! We got pedicures and my mom kept saying "I don't like it too short" "please done cut too short" and she was hurting her. I got upset and had to jump in..."she said not so short!" Well after a few days my mom kept complaining about her toenails hurting. She thought the gal must of cut her...she keep putting Neosporin on it. Each day the pain for worst. Finally she asked my brother's gf (who use to help work at her mom's nail salon in Sun Valley) to check it out. She found that there was something stuck underneath!! And this was starting an infection. Never again! I'd rather drive farther, to a salon where they actually listen to their customers. read more

Angel is my go to girl for pedicures! I get really bad ingrown toenails and she cuts them perfectly to where they do not ingrown as long as I stay on schedule ! Unfortunately 2 weeks ago I was not able to make an appointment so another woman ended up doing them (my bad) .. I should have just waited. After telling her I mostly likely have ingrowns she said ok, but failed to check/cut them out for me ... a week and a half later my toes hurt SO bad so I go in a week early after making an appointment with Angel! Finally found my nail salon in Boise! I've had such a difficult time finding a place that does dip powder at a good price and that I actually like how they turn out. I scheduled my appointment with Anthony. He got me in immediately and was super sweet and constantly checking in to make sure I liked how my nails were turning out. I love dip powder because unlike with acrylic, my nails actually grow and feel stronger and they also look so much more natural. I definitely recommend Anthony at A Nails and Spa, along with everyone else! A young woman did my pedicure, she was amazing but I didn't catch her name and Mary did my mom's pedicure and was so gentle and awesome! Definitely give them a try! read more

I went in asking for a design was ignored and over charged. When I told the tech my nails were different lengths and did not look right he became aggressive. he grabbed my hand super tight. I told him to let go and that he was hurting me. He said he would not fix anything and shouted for me to leave. Another tech took over roughly filed down the nail not removing it completely glued another nail on top of the old one. Did a messy paint job. Left paint on my fingers and glue. Cotton was stuck to my final nail. asked just to have my polish changed on my toes he said no that I had to pay for a full manicure. Wanted to charge me 100 plus dollar. when I told him how much I normally get charged for a full set and nail polish change he laughed. My full nail set with basic paint was 71 Dollars and if I had got my toes done he wanted to charge 100. this was without design. If you want to be disappointed, disrespected, go to this shop. It's not very clean either. If i could leave zero stars I would. read more

This was easily the worst nail experience I've ever had. The person doing my service was very distracted and answered the phone multiple times leaving me in the chair, at some points he would answer the phone on speaker and I could hear the conversation with the person on the other end. Overall, it was not relaxing at all. Additionally, he was cutting his own nails while doing my nails and messed up my service. My polish doesn't look great and the cuticle isn't pushed back very far. I wanted silver chrome and they didn't have it, only grey, gold, different sparkles. None close to the color I wanted. So I settled for a red. Everything she did made my finger tips and nails burn. It felt like they were on fire the whole time. They did look good and were shaped exactly the way I wanted, so that's great, But nowhere near worth the constant burning and she was done in a half hour. My fingertips burned for like 4 hours after. Maybe she should slow the hell down and tone the tools down a few speeds. Horrible experience. NEVER again. read more

Update - We've been going pretty consistently. Went to pay for our pedi's today and they claimed their WiFi was down. Hard to believe since we were on their WiFi during our visit. They forced us to use their ATM, which charges $2 per transaction. Problem 1 - they should have warned us when we made our appointment so we had the opportunity to bring cash (w/out being charged). Problem 2 - they should have warned us when we walked in, but the didn't. Problem 3 - they lied about their WiFi, Problem 4- we all know they are lying about WIFi to get cash payments, Result - I'm an unhappy customer because I don't like being lied to. This place was ok. I think they did a decent job on my pedicure. The downside was the fact that it smelled of feet the whole time. I wasn't sure if it was the whole salon or just the area where pedicures happened. It was only me at first and another woman came in shortly after I wasn't sure if she could smell it either. I was also grossed out by the fact they didn't use bags in the foot soaking area either. I think that is unhygienic especially in this day and age. I've had better pedicures. read more

I had my first experience at Dazzle on Friday (9/12/14) and I was very impressed. The location is clean and larger than it looks from the outside. I made an appointment a few days in advance and they were ready for me when I arrived. The gentleman that did my fill was a little quiet but friendly and he did a wonderful job with my nails. I almost always leave nail salons a little disappointed but this time I left happy!!! The prices are reasonable and definitely worth it for good quality work. read more

I really wanted to love this place. After reading the reviews my daughter & I scheduled appointments in advance. We both have had many manicures & pedicures. Unfortunately, this place was not great. The gentleman who did my pedicure was rough & I was bleeding within 5 minutes of him starting the pedicure. I certainly understand accidents happen. He was kind & apologized but his skill level was lacking. Once my nails were drying he went on to help another customer. Not a problem, but he left me for over 20 mins & never came back to check on us or even take payment. It just didn't seem to flow very well at this salon. We will not be returning sadly. read more

I had a full set put on and it was done terribly. I asked for long coffin shape nails and I ended up with fat square shaped nails that are no longer than the tips of my fingers. The nail shapes are all uneven and look different...some are sharp squares and some are almost rounded. The acrylics ended up thick and lumpy and there are places missing polish completely. I ended up with polish on my skin that I've had to pry off. The worst part though was that the man doing all of this made four of my fingers bleed with the nail dremel. He kept grinding down the SKIN around my nails and then was rude and unhappy when I would pull my hand away or comment that he was hurting me. read more
