We wanted them to match, turns out one wasn't broken and was plain glass. We were referred to American glass and we are so pleased with the job and the customer service. Only had to do 3 panes because the remaining pane was also plain glass. The other 3 were wavy glass, old. The estimator who came out pointed out the remaining glass was plain and not wavy. We hadn't noticed but appreciated the honesty. From the first call to American Glass to the set up of the installation were all perfect. The install even came 3 days earlier than expected. Communication was great. Caulking was very sloppy, it's an old house(summer cottage) so I guess they figured who cares. We do though.

It took a few more weeks for them to get the correct materials , I requested a discount for my trouble and they told me the best they could do is offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase, based on my experience I said that I will not go with them for future needs and they said they would have the owner call me, it's been several weeks and I never heard back. The girls in the office were great but I can't say the same for the owner very poor customer service.

After checking other quotes I contacted them to get the ball rolling. Only after taking 50% down did they need to schedule someone to come and measure to make sure the quote would be accurate. I said, "Fine, when can they come?" The office gal, Jenna, said Heidi would call me back to set up a time. I work and am very hard to reach. I sent 1 email to Shannon, the owner, and Heidi the office manager, to call me on lunch at 330. Then I got no response by 8PM when ended work day. I sent a followup email to both that I felt this wasn't a positive start as I was expecting a call the same day to schedule something. They canceled the job and issued a refund on the first morning after I accepted and emailed my simple opinion and request to set up an appointment. The conversation with Heidi after was that she didn't need my aggravation (communication). They (she and the owner) chose to cancel my job. She then rudely hung up on me mid-sentence with no cursing or anger towards her. If a company can't take feedback about how their process works or communicate by email they need more time to set something up, they shouldn't be in business. Stay away from this fake operator. When I mentioned this company name to a competitor, they said: "Doesn't surprise me".

I told her to save her company a trip that I would send pics of the spring assemblies so someone could potentially come prepared to fix on the quote trip. The quote person showed up between the 2 hours they were scheduled for. The person did not have the pics that I sent to Louise. They talked about replacing existing hardware with another window manufacturer. The quote guy, Steve, said their service people are in Rockford area 2-3 times per week. While I waited 2 days for the quote I googled replacing the spring hardware. Parts are available at Lowes and Home Depot for less than $50. The quote I got from this unprofessional small business was for $900. DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO PROVIDE SERVICE ON YOUR WINDOWS
