My front tooth chipped on Saturday and I got lucky to get in to see Dr. MacKenna the very next Monday. She did a great job! It was my first time when I didn't get emotional and had a minimal anxiety. Her assistant Jazmyn was very nice and carrying, very confident which made me feel at ease. Temporary crown looks and feels great! I had to come back for touch up on the bite, it took a few second literally. Very exited to come back! Surprisingly Thank you very much!

Dr. Maria Moser attempted to do a tooth implant on me. I say 'attempted' because it was botched-…read morethe abutment part was too big. She even said this right out loud, in surprise, as the procedure was getting underway. She went ahead however and tried to put the thing in anyway. As she tightened it into place I almost screamed and fainted; this was far and away the most painful experience I've ever had, in a dentist's office or outside of one. The pain didn't let up and five days later I had her take the abutment and crown back out. She put me on a course of antibiotics to try to stop any infection from the obvious swelling that had begun (see the picture). I rejected her offer to try the whole procedure again, this time with a "tissue punch", and had the botched part redone by a dentist who'd been voted the 'Best in Boston'. Dr. Moser never apologized or expressed remorse and of course never refunded the thousands she charged me and my insurance. I'm currently pursuing legal action against her and filing complaints with the local and state licensing boards.

Both Dr. Harrington and his wife Dr. Fallon (as well as the rest of the office staff) are some of the nicest people I have genuinely ever met. They are a couple of the only Dr.'s that I have ever come across that you can tell right away genuinely care about their patients and their dental care. They take the time to explain everything up front, whether it is necessary or not, and exactly what will be covered by insurance. This is one of the few places I have gone to where I've never felt that they were trying to "up sell" me on anything that I didn't need done. I have referred several friends here and will continue to do so and go here as long as I live in the area!

They didn't have time to see my daughter but someone had time to compose a multi-paragraph response to my review within minutes. Like I already mentioned, my children have been seen at Advanced Dental for years and now they can't take a few minutes to literally just try to identify the source of some pain? It doesn't take a pediatric dentist to identify a filling that possibly wasn't done properly or a possible infection. We made it very clear to Advanced Dental that we were not looking for any new procedures but rather just a quick examination of the work that was already done to make sure it was done correctly. And while I am not a dentist it doesn't seem like a proper filling would leave a child in pain for months after the procedure. If none of the dentists at Advanced Dental can look at a tooth, pediatric or otherwise, and make a determination about whether a filling was done properly then that seems like a very serious cause for concern. Maybe it wasn't filled correctly. Maybe it wasn't drilled correctly. Maybe there is an infection. But I guess we'll have to find out tomorrow when a dentist who can identify proper fillings will look at her teeth. And regarding the supposed help provided, Advanced Dental did nothing. They gave us numbers and referrals to dentists who either couldn't see our daughter or didn't have appointments until November. I have a funny feeling that if one of the dentists or employees at Advanced Dental had a young child going through this type of ordeal they would have taken the time to look at their teeth for two minutes to try and identify the problem. So, write another 5,10,15 paragraph response claiming how nothing could be done and how much you all tried to help and how much you all value our relationship so much. It's nonsense, and being polite and professional in your response doesn't make you sound endearing or truthful or sincere. It comes off as arrogant, dishonest, defensive, and dismissive because a business owner with genuine concern would address the matter and try to correct the situation. They wouldn't view a complaint and instantly write a response that essentially pats themselves on the back for everything that they supposedly did right while making ridiculous excuses for everything else. People see through it. People see the desperation to defend and the inability to take any responsibility for unbelievably neglectful behavior. Anyway, she'll be seen tomorrow by a new dentist who assured us that they can evaluate her fillings, or any fillings for that matter regardless of age, and I'll be sure to provide an update based on what they find.

At 70 years old I began going to FANIKOS, she examined my teeth, took a mouth of X-rays even cleaned teeth and did 6 filling at one appointment. After a visit last year she said I needed to see another dentist ( specialist) to deal with under crown cavities, I signed a release to send them my X-rays and booked my next cleaning at her, FANIKOS office. 6 months go by I get reminders about my upcoming cleaning and then was told I had been released from FANIKOS to the specialist...yup thrown out of a dentist practice because she did not want to deal with any of my dental work. Never have i had a doctor refuse to see me....I would think doctors are obligated by oath never to refuse anybody, Well at 73 years old I was thrown out because she did not want to deal with my mouth anymore. She suggests a specialist you better see him/her because once you sign the release form to send them X-rays, you will be out on the street like me. GOOIOOOOD NEWS. I am in Florida. I went to another dentist in FLL. THE DENTIST saw me and I explained what front teeth I needed repair. She did not hesitate treating me like an old patient. Repaired 3 and I'm going back for more repairs.....and a cleaning, this is how a dentist, a doctor or any professional should be. To bad I had to go 1500 miles to find A DENTIST WITH A HEART.......and my front teeth are looking amazing. But this past weekend, they went from great to amazing! The night before a huge event, a veneer I had for 20 years suddenly came off. I called the emergency line. Even though it was only cosmetic, Dr. Salib called me right back and told me to come it. It was nighttime! She spent her night fixing my tooth, and I was able to have a beatiful smile for the photos the next day.
