Karen is the best. She has been grooming my dogs since 1996. I showed up with my first Portuguese water dog and she researched the breed( very rare back then), worked to learn the specifics of grooming them and has done a fantastic job ever since. When my first dog aged and he couldn't go to be groomed she would do house visits. My second Portie, Jack only lived for 61/2 years due to cancer. Karen showed up at my home to comfort me. She now grooms my latest Portie, Beau who is wacky but loveable. She had me bring him into the spa as a puppy just to get him familiar with the surroundings and has worked with him to know how to get him to behave on command.He is now 4 and a "perfect" client...well almost perfect. The best thing about Karen is her knowledge and love for her fur babies. She takes time to assess and get to know each dog. She is very loving, patient and kind to all of her pups. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else and highly recommend her!! read more

Excellent! Karen has been grooming Ruby, our Golden Doodle fir over 8 years. As a puppy she helped her become familiar with the experiences in a positive way. Ruby looks forward to being at Karen's shop and being groomed. I believe this is because Karen knows each dog's personality and tries to make it as comfortable as possible for each of them. Karen flows instructions about how we would like to sew Ruby cut and I appreciate all of the other services she does regularly nails, ears, glands, etc. she is easy to work with, does a great job and my dog loves her. This was an amazing experience not only for our 8 month old Emmy, but for our family! I found Karen on Yelp because it has been a challenge getting our pup to "enjoy" the bath experience and the last one at the BIG name store was not positive. Emmy has bath & some separation anxiety and did not enjoy it at all! I mentioned this to Karen and before even scheduling her appointment, she made simple suggestions that included Karen's personal time to gradually introduce Emmy to her spa and get to know one another first! Karen is fantastic. I tried three groomers before bringing my labradoodle to Karen. I knew instantly Karen was special the minute I walked in. This is not the review I wanted to be writing, but I had such a terrible experience the other day. There is no denying that Karen is a skilled groomer, but she has a negative habit (ironic, given the name of her salon) of harping on everything little tangle, or imperfection in my dog's coat, "her nails are too long, are you sure you had her groomed last month?, her coat was a mess..." She made me feel awful and my dog is my world, I groom her every 6 wks- she is a pet not a show dog, and I don't take her to the groomer to be schooled in my shortcomings as a dog owner. She also never called to tell me she was ready to go so I waited 5/12 hours. Never Again! read more

I brought my Frenchie pup in today for her first time to see Karen. Karen was absolutely fantastic, and so loving and wonderful to her. She is so clean and groomed beautifully, and she is so happy. The price was incredibly fair and I am very satisfied. Each time that I pop in to the shop, Karen is singing and talking is such a loving manner to the dog she is working with; it is really endearing and you can tell that your dog will be in very capable, safe hands. Also, I have seen some of the most beautiful dogs, with the longest hair each time I pass by, and it is clear that so many people know that this is the place to trust with their precious pooches. Karen is the best! We have taken our Labradoodle to her twice now, and Karen has been fantastic with her every time. After just one visit, she still remembered her!
