My border collie mix and Aussie are really easy going when I bathe them, but can be a bit anxious and weary of strangers - my collie mix especially. So hearing that they were able to bring him out of his shell and get past his shyness was nice to hear. They even played some fetch with him while I was on my way to pick him up! I do not usually leave reviews, but I feel I have to share this for other dog owners. I brought my two year old French Bulldog here. She is one of the friendliest, sweetest dogs you could ever meet and has been to other groomers without ever having a bad experience. She usually enjoys going. This time was completely different. When I came back and asked how she was doing, I was told, "I don't know, I didn't touch her." That immediately concerned me. I could not even see my dog at first, and when I asked again, I was told she had been isolated because she was barking. When I finally saw her, she was in a small cage, shaking and clearly terrified. This is not normal behavior for her. As a dog owner, you know your dog, and something was clearly wrong. I calmly expressed that I did not appreciate how she was being handled and that something did not feel right. Later, instead of addressing my concerns, I received a message from the owner accusing me of being rude and telling me not to come back. I was not rude. I was concerned about my dog. I have taken her to multiple groomers, and she has never reacted like this. That alone tells me everything I need to know. I will never bring my dog back here and would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet's well being. read more

I really like that when I went to go pick her up she was out and around the shop waiting for me. I just love taking our two Frenchies here. The groomers Ashley and Rhi are such sweethearts. Our pups are always so happy playing with the other pups here. The staff they are friendly and gentle. It is one of those places that I know my pups they look forward to visiting. Every time we pick them up, they're always smelling nice and fresh. What I love is seeing the other pups here they are always so happy! I highly recommend Bobby's!! They did an amazing job grooming our English Bulldog, Boss. The staff was friendly, attentive, and truly cared for Boss. Not sure what the issue was with a door location on a previous review but we had no issues with safety or security of our dog and he is very sheltered lol. My first experience with them grooming my Husky was great. Went to go for her second groom and not so great. When we arrived she was very excited and THEY were very overwhelmed. They had 10 dogs there with only 1 groomer and 1 washer. They should have NEVER booked a grooming appointment for an almost 100lb dog in that situation. Steve called me and told me I needed to come back and get her as she was just too much for them that day. When I returned back to get her within 15 minutes, Steve told me he would talk to the staff and he would contact me with a time to bring her back Friday. Now 2 days later after 3 attempts, 1 phone call and 2 text requests on my part to contact him he finally replies back with the text attached below. I also included my response for those interested. I think I'm not the only one that found Bobby's Pet Grooming off instagram. I'm also not the only one who's so happy they did!! Our first groomer moved too far and our schedules never lines up. I wasn't finding anyone close to me with reviews that made me feel comfortable with them. I was at the point to where I was just going to take up grooming as a hobby and learn for myself. THANK GOODNESS I DON'T HAVE TO! Once I found this salon, I read all the reviews and looked at all the comments and thought I'd give it a try. I texted them and they had an appointment the next day. I brought my sweet puppy Oakley there and from the moment we got in everyone was so friendly. Even made sure he felt comfortable before they took him to get started. I let them know that this was his 2nd official grooming visit so I was not sure how he'd do. Jamie listened to what style I wanted and nailed it. I am pretty sure Oakley loved her just as much as she loved him. Just that comfort knowing your pup is being loved and not just another dog coming in gives such a relief. Well, my Cavapoo wasn't bad, just scruffy. I am so happy with this grooming. She came back neatly trimmed and clean. When I arrived to pick her up she was happy and playful, as always. I don't know if things have changed since my first visit (late last year), but I just can't bring my dogs to be groomed in a location where I'm uncomfortable bringing them. The main door (which can sit ajar if not closed completely behind you) faces the super busy Poway road and you walk directly into the grooming area when you enter. The only thing separating the grooming area and the main door was a wooden folding gate which my young pup can easily maneuver and push her way through if she really wanted to. I think the groomer could see on my face how uncomfortable I was that the door was facing the busy street but she said the owner had plans to move the door in the near future to the side of the building where the lobby was located. The owner also reassured that the door would be relocated. I spent two hours worrying about my dogs while they were groomed and was so thankful that they didn't escape through the dicey door set up. I honestly was concerned that other guests that came in would accidentally leave the door/gates open if the owner or groomer were busy, leaving it vulnerable. Pricing when they first opened was unbeatable ($65+ for a large dog), however, as of May 2024 they are par with other groomers pricing ($95+ for a large dog). Also the payment system was weird, there was no option to tip the groomer nor did the owner ask if I wanted to add a dollar amount to my total so I could tip. After holding out a few months to see if they moved the main door, it still hadn't been relocated (early 2024) and was desperate to get my dogs groomed. I tried to send a few messages via their website and never received a response. I drove by more recently (May 2024) and I don't see that a door has been added or relocated. If I'm paying for premium prices, I'd rather pay premium to a location that feels more secured and safer for my fur babies. I would give all the stars to the groomer Jamie - she did a wonderful job on my babies and they absolutely loved her. I've had to edit this review since the business owner has accused me (a paying customer) of a phony online review. Please either address or rectify customer concerns versus accusing them for posting a fake review. read more

The haircut on my small dog was so awful that I started crying. The coat was cut MUCH shorter than instructed, the face not balanced or shaped, and the ears and tail barely trimmed. We recently moved to the San Diego area and have had a hard time finding a groomer for our Presley girl until we stumbled upon Bobbys. I called for a last minute appointment and they were able to fit her in right away. Entire staff was very friendly and welcoming the moment we walked in. They immediately greeted Presley and made sure she got comfortable. Presley was matted and I was already expecting the worst, but they were able to minimize the amount they had to shave and was even able to keep her face and tail fluffy.
