After continued attempts to get a hold of Angela via phone and emails, I finally tried TEXTING Angela in November. I was happy to see a text response from her! but then baffled when I read her message. I've attempted to post screenshots of the text exchange but it appears only a portion is posting. In summary, Angela stated she felt she was harassed by me and would not respond to my bullying tactics. Again, I was dumbfounded. Ultimately, she refused to return our $100 deposit and went silent on us again. In hindsight, I should have noticed that most of the Yelp reviews are over a year old. I don't see any recent reviews which should have been a red flag. I hope Angela is able to improve her operations and customer experience as she is clearly talented at taking beautiful photos.

The mini session was 15 minutes - she was happy, gentle, and warm with the kids and we felt so comfortable despite never having met before. I went to the session hoping to get 2-3 good photos - instead, we now have a photo gallery full of photos that bring so much joy. It's hard to get good family photos with 2 young toddlers, so I'm especially thankful for these treasured memories. I was able to book my first appointment and picked up a stuffed animal with my baby's heartbeat. The techs are very professional. The TV located in front of the bed, where you can watch your baby is really blurry and hard to see. But the TV on the left side is decent. I scheduled my next appointment (keep in mind they only work weekends and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a real person to switch your appointment). I'm giving Mommy Bundle of Joy 1 star because of their call/schedule department. I had more of a relationship with their A1 "Rosie" than any human contact. I emailed, called and NO RESPONSE. Keep in mind they are only open during the weekends. I have been trying to reach a human person to schedule or reschedule my appointments but if you book a bundle package, you can't go online to schedule the next one. I have a toddler at home and it's hard for me to go to Del Amo just to speak to someone about schedule change. By the time someone reaches back to me, I'm already due. I have been trying to get a hold of someone since the beginning of July! Supposedly there's someone "always" monitoring the call lines and are supposed to call the clients to remind them of their appointments but again, I haven't heard from anyone. Finally the owner calls me (a month and a half later) and told me he was going through something so I decided not to write a review and he agreed to give me $95 refund which was half the cost of the bundle package because I 2 visits out of 4. After being told he couldn't have his heart test because he was in a wheelchair with his sling. He uses a Hoyer lift and the employee who was to help him, said he wasn't going to "risk his career by injuring his back trying to lift him". That's all I will say for that male employee, who wouldn't seek the hoyer lift. My uncle called back to complain and Jenni listened attentively without judgement to neither on the employee she works with or my uncle. Jenni was extremely empathetic and her sincerity resonated an employee who truly cares about the patients, and not "just a person who uses a wheelchair". Applause to Torrance Memorial for having such a dedicated employee, and exemplifies the top notch leadership skills for her team.

Go anywhere else if you can. I was excited and anxious as a first time mom for my 20 week scan. I can excuse the long wait, the overcrowded wait room, the transfer of us to a gastroenterologist's office down the hall because there were not enough rooms. I understand that there are a lot of patients and only so much medical staff and doctors. All of those items are fine. I cannot excuse the piss poor communication from this office. First, our ultrasound was done by a tech who truly could not have been more unenthusiastic and disinterested. She seemed bored, and annoyed by her job. She was largely silent and didn't explain what she was doing or what we should be looking for. I left the appointment not understanding anything I had seen. I understand having a bad day (I hope this isn't her normal personality because if it is, yikes.) Personally, my husband works in a stressful field with a lot of death and emergencies. He works overnights often. I cannot imagine him ever treating a patient this way. A bad day is not an excuse. It has now been 3 days since my scan. I have not heard from anyone, much less a doctor. Is my baby normal? Whether he is or isn't, it is apparently not a priority to let me know. Leaving pregnant women, already anxious, completely in the dark is not acceptable. I've spoken to my friends who have recently had children. Their experiences with their anatomy scans have been a 180 from mine. All said they had techs that walked them through each step and answered questions, some even had the scans from the doctors themselves (I understand why that's not always doable, and I don't expect that). So, I'd seek out your anatomy scan elsewhere if at all possible. Is the doctor good? Probably. After 2 scans (12 & 20 week) I've never heard from him or met him. And I will say that nurse practitioner April, who walked through my first scan with me is wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind. But the more I think back on my scan, the more upsetting and frustrating it is for something so important and special to have gone the way it did and to still be totally in the dark as to the results.

Outpatient services, diagnostic, imaging, nuclear studies are mostly handled by the Outpatient Center in the REAR of the hospital at 5215 Torrance Bl (the main entrance address is 4101 Torrance Bl). Confirm before you arrive or you'll likely have a long trek to get to the right location. The salad bar in the café is decent in a pinch, especially if you don't want to leave the property for a meal. Self parking is free, but it's busy and it will often be blocked to incoming traffic because the lots are...full. Patience is necessary. Staff is friendly and helpful, which was welcome when I took a wrong turn out of the elevators. A worker must have noticed the perplexed look on my face and offered to help before I even knew i needed help.
