I had been looking for an in home euthanasia service about 2 months ago when my family pups CHF started to progress. My mom was the one who got to experience the process since she declined so rapidly she called me and let me know it was time because our little one was suffering. Our beloved dog Jade made it 14 years but suddenly took a turn for the worse. Our only options were to wait for an appointment 40 days out or just head down to a clinic for them to "fit us in". Dr. Martin is amazing. She is so patient and lets you know that you are making the right decision. My precious 18 year old calico cat was really starting to fail. Even her two siblings knew it. I knew yesterday when she couldn't hardly walk and she would stand at her water bowl and just stare at it. So I called in a panic to her vet and they couldn't fit her in. My handsome Great Dane Arthur had bone cancer in his leg and I tried everything possible to make him comfortable after he was diagnosed. This was such a nice way to say goodbye to our beloved dog of 15 years. Dr. Martin was so kind and compassionate about our feelings. It felt like she was really there for us, not just to do her job. Our children were very said, but they knew that this was the right thing to do under the circumstances. This has taken me several months to write, as it still feels too soon to recount. Our beloved Pixie was the favorite member of our family for 16 years. Deciding to put her down was an extremely difficult decision, and just wanting her to be comfortable in her final moments, we turned to Google to help us find a vet who could come to our home. Just one day later Dr. Martin was in our living room with a bag full of treats for Pixie (part Beagle, she was food-driven up until the end).
