I training here a lot from working Allied Universal to teaching classes here for Dangerfield arms. The range staff is great since I been going here the staff has become good range friends

I definitely had some good memories over here. The staff were all knowledgeable and were able to communicate all of the Saftey measures, policies, and guidelines that must be kept in order to shoot safely to not jeopardize oneself or the people around them. It is also definitely a good change of scenery, detaching from the city and go into the mountains in this way versus an indoor range. I was able to take some pictures and video as well which remain to this day one of my favorite memories. I would recommend everyone send all their text messages and make their phone calls long before you arrive because cell service can be a challenge from time to time. They also have a pretty well stocked shop on site so if you need any gear or ammunition, you'll definitely be able to find that among many other accessories like hearing protection eyeglasses so on and so forth. Last, but not least, they have a variety of different ranges based on your firearm and the distance you are looking to practice on.

My kids shot here for the first time. Out in the bundocs.. but a great place for first time long range shooters. Not intimidating and very organized. No Cell service, so you're in the moment for sure! Happy shooting!!

Do they rent guns? My son wants to go for his birthday, but we don't own any guns.

They do not rent guns. They do sell targets and amo (not cheap).

Has anyone been here this year (2017)are they inspecting AR's for compliance? We have until 2018 to comply, I'm worried I will take my rifle and will b sent away

Compliance on what? If you register it as an assault weapon you can keep all your "EVIL" features if you don't you need to make it featureless either way A Place to Shoot has no way of telling if you registered or not? That's your responsibility… Read more

I genuinely enjoy shooting at Angeles Shooting Range and will absolutely be coming back. One of the…read morebiggest reasons is that they allow outside ammunition, which is rare in Los Angeles and something I really appreciate. The range layout is great, and overall I've liked my experiences there. However, during my recent visit, there was an incident with a range master (James) that management should address. My friend and I briefly stepped over to a table area where another guest was showing us a shotgun he had purchased earlier that day. This was not during a ceasefire period, and no one was downrange. The firearm remained inside the bag the entire time. He did not pick it up, manipulate it, or handle it -- he simply unzipped the bag slightly to show it and intended to zip it back up. At that point, James approached yelling loudly about opening the bag. I fully respect strict enforcement of safety rules -- ranges should be strict. If there is a policy about not unzipping cases at the tables, that's completely fine. But the tone and level of aggression did not match the situation. After that, he continued staring at us and pointing us out to other staff members, which made us uncomfortable enough to end our session early. In an environment involving firearms, professionalism, composure, and emotional control are essential. Being yelled at and then singled out creates unnecessary tension. After this experience, I looked through other reviews and noticed similar feedback about overly aggressive communication from staff. That suggests this may not be an isolated incident and is something management should take seriously. This review is not about being corrected -- it's about how corrections are delivered. Authority in a safety role requires calm, measured communication. If this style of interaction is consistent, I strongly encourage management to evaluate whether this individual is well-suited for a customer-facing safety position. Staff demeanor directly affects the safety atmosphere of the range. When we spoke to the front counter staff (including Carmen), they were professional, took our concerns seriously, and encouraged us to share feedback so management would be aware. I appreciated that. I'm rating this two stars because staff conduct matters in an environment like this. That said, I do plan to return because overall I really like this range. I would welcome a response from management, as I genuinely enjoy this range and would like to see situations like this handled more professionally moving forward.

From the moment we walked in, everything felt professional, welcoming, and upscale. The facility is beautifully designed, spotless, and very well-run. I love that it's members-only--you can immediately tell they take the experience and environment seriously. The staff were amazing: friendly, respectful, and never made us feel rushed. Bob Wu was outstanding. His background, professionalism, and teaching style really stood out. He made my wife feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the lesson, and she truly enjoyed it--so much so that she's already planning to book more sessions. I explained it was our first time at this particular range and they explained everything and showed me the map before taking us all to the private range we had reserved. Make sure you go over the driving directions when you leave, as we had no mobile phone service once we got deep onto the dirt road. Follow the signs and you'll get there eventually. I wouldn't drive there with a lowered vehicle or fancy sports car as there is about 1.5 miles of dirt road you have to drive on that's a bit bumpy. Just drive slowly. I didn't check the selection of rentals they had on offer as I have my own toys, but I have heard it is better than most. We got a private range on a Wednesday and it was incredibly cheap ($100 for 2 people all day, $40 each additional person). They bring out steel targets for you to use and then leave you alone to have fun. You can draw from holsters, rapid fire, do drills, etc. No 1-shot per second nonsense, Their public rifle range has steel targets out to 1000 yards so you can see how good your skills really are.
