I enjoy my visits here. My hygienist Jean is always fun to talk to. Dr.Nguyen has done a few of my fillings and I have to say, she gives the best injections , I barely feel them at all. I would give this office zero stars if I could. My experience with the billing and insurance process was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, I provided both of my parents' insurance information and understood that both policies would be used to help cover my treatment. I later learned that only my father's insurance had been billed and that my mother's insurance had not yet been submitted. When my father's insurance reached its annual maximum, I was not informed before treatment continued. I was never given the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to pay out of pocket or wait until my secondary insurance had been billed. Instead, I continued treatment under the impression that everything was being handled appropriately. After I asked about this, I was told the office would submit everything to my mother's insurance, that it could take 4-5 weeks to receive a response, and that I would receive a callback with an update. I never received that callback. I had to follow up myself, only to be told the claim still had not been submitted. After waiting even longer with no communication, I received a bill for $845. What made this even more frustrating was the lack of communication. Before I stopped going to the office for the holidays while waiting to hear back about my mother's insurance, I was only asked to pay out of pocket for my last two treatments--one for about $26 and another for about $257. I paid those amounts because I was told my mother's insurance would be submitted and that I would receive an update. However, I was never told that my earlier, more expensive treatments could result in additional charges. Receiving a bill for $845 afterward came as a complete surprise. Had I been informed that my primary insurance had reached its annual maximum or that my secondary insurance had not yet been billed, I could have made a different decision about continuing treatment. I repeatedly had to contact the office because I never received the promised updates. I felt that my concerns about the billing and communication process were not adequately addressed. Patients deserve clear communication about insurance coverage, expected costs, and any changes before treatment--not surprise bills afterward. My advice to anyone considering this office is to ask exactly which insurance is being billed, request written estimates whenever possible, and verify your remaining insurance benefits before each treatment. Don't assume both insurance policies are being billed simply because they're on file. This review reflects my personal experience with the office. Insurance issues - every time my husband and I would pay for whatever work we had done (cleanings, fillings, etc.) we would get a bill in the mail saying we didn't pay enough. I have never had this issue with other dentists and A+ dental's excuse was "your insurance didn't cover as much as it said it would." My husband I moved a lot due to work and we've had three other dentists all using the same dental insurance and we've never been sent bills like this. They must be sending the wrong billing codes or doing the calculations incorrectly but it's ridiculous. I would not recommend this dentist if you're going through insurance. I have been going to this office for years - Earlier this year I went in for a cleaning, they said three of my teeth were cracked and recommended to get crowns on them. I told them if it's going to cost any money out of my pocket I don't want to do it. They said it is covered under mine and my wife's insurance. I asked are you sure because if it's going to cost me money I don't want to do them. They again said you are covered so I said go head and do it if you think I need it done. NOW I have a bill for almost $2,000 I said wtf so I called them and they said you still need to pay the bill. I reminded them they told me our insurance would cover it and they said I guess your insurance didn't pick up the complete cost. I told them they probably tell people all the time they need work done and their insurance will cover it and then send the customer the bill to over charge people. I have been going to A+ Dental for around two years. Not everyone can say this, but I love my dentist and all the staff there. Every time I walk in Erica, Paula and Adi are so helpful and patient with me. They have patiently and thoroughly explained my billing situation and even helped me setting up my Care Credit Account. My hygienist Leneisha is always gentle with me and offers a lot of advice to help me take care of my teeth. Dr. Nguyen is amazing. My teeth have some particularly challenging issues and Dr. Nguyen has been proactive and patient with my care. Every time I walk into the office I feel like everyone cares about me and my wellbeing. I also have to say I love their music. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

So I see the dentist about my tooth and I get a quote for extraction the last tooth in my mouth and I set an appointment. Then I get a call the morning of at 7:15 AM my appointments at 9 AM telling me they've changed their mind. There's so many things wrong with us I can't even begin to know where to start. It's highly unprofessional and inappropriate to cancel the last second. If they really felt I needed an oral surgeon they should've said that from the beginning . I've been waiting and suffering with a really bad toothache. Do not go here, you're rolling the dice. Should be called a minus dental. read more

Let me start this out by saying I have had a lifetime of bad dentist experiences. From the time I was a kid to a teenager in braces it was always painful, uncaring and sometimes traumatizing. I avoided going for quite a few years for any dental services because of severe anxiety. They did not judge me here and worked to make me feel comfortable. Everyone was very kind and understanding, Communicative and genuinely helpful. I was in very little pain or discomfort during the cleaning. I trust they will do a great job doing some upcoming fillings for me. Been going to this dental office for years and it used to be great, but this is no longer the case. More than once the office has said that something is covered by the insurance, then after a procedure, I get a bill. This last time was the final straw. My wife was getting some work done, the office assured my wife and I that it was covered. Turns out it wasn't after the fact. We received a bill for an expensive amount for the service that we thought was covered. I called on a Monday, the office said they would get back to me, but they never did. Called again on Thursday, the office lady said that the office manager would audit the bill and call us back. She never did. Finally a third inquiry into the issue, I called again a week later. The office lady , didn't offer an apology for not returning our call or offer any solutions towards the issue. She just argued and spoke over us the whole time. So I just decided to go down and pay the bill in full and explain to the office workers how unprofessional and rude they are. They didn't care. Such a shame to lose our business over a billing mistake made on their part. They didn't offer any solutions or any compensation towards their mistake. Overall we're never going there again. It's almost fraudulent on their part because my wife and I asked the office workers multiple times if it is covered and they said yes. Knowledge of the fact with intent to deceive. Also the office manager never returned our calls, just very unprofessional. All would be forgiven if they would have at least apologized and or offered some compensation. We've been good customers for years, but now they will lose money because we are taking our business somewhere else. In conclusion, never going their again. read more

I have not been to a dentist in over a decade and my insurance covers it... entire family goes but not my stubborn ass! Chipped a front tooth and had to make the walk of shame in to the office. Dr. Euen and her team never judged me and had a friendly. Entertaining personalities that I unbelievably came home to the wife and said "I actually had a good time".... something people don't usually say after a dentist appointment! I had an emergency and went to another dentist first, realized they were not compiling with covid and office staff wasnt even wearing a mask. I left that office and found A+ . Im soooo glad i did. I have been coming to these dentists for several years and have always been completely satisfied. I work rotating shifts and it is so conducive to my schedule that they have extended hours and are open on weekends. The front office staff is always completely professional and helpful. Your always greeted with a welcoming smile. I like all the hygienist, I think I have seen them all over the years. Even though I'm not of fan of going to the dentist my experience is always delightful. When I get my teeth cleaned they are always sparkling white. They take the time to clean each tooth leaving my teeth bright white and smooth as silk. I like all the dentists each of them does an extensive exam and answers all my questions and concerns. I have had crowns and fillings done by dentists at this practice and have never not be satisfied. I will continue coming here for I'm completely satisfied with the dental care I have received. read more

My sons have been having their dental work done at this clinic for a few years now and a few months ago I decided to try it out. I definitely do not enjoy going to the dentist but I must point out that Dr Nguyen is absolutely fantastic and makes my visits very comfortable and painless. She is always checking on me while performing dental work and recently I had some Caps replaced and was not completely satisfied with the color match and Dr Nguyen worked with me to replace them which I really appreciated as I have to pay privately. The finance program they offer for their insurance definitely helps and is very convenient and saves money. All the staff are very friendly, always confirm ahead of time for future appointments and the office is very clean. Convenient location in Roseville and highly recommended. read more

We have been patients at A+ Dental for five years and up until this week when we went in for a cleaning, it has been a pretty good experience. My 18 year old daughter and I both had 10am appointments on Monday, August 31st, 2020. My experience was fine, even after going almost a year without a cleaning due to Covid. But my daughter had a totally different experience. Her hygienist was beyond rude to her, she came out of the office in tears and it took me 5 minutes to get her to calm down and tell me what was wrong. She is almost 19 and almost always smiling and very laid back. The hygienist was giving parenting advise and apologized to her that my daughter had to work for her things. ( her car, clothes, eating out). She told her that she should be in college and not working. My daughter works full time and would be in college if it wasn't for it being online right now. She said she pays for everything for her daughter and that is what should be happening at my house too. My daughter had no clue how to respond , so she stayed silent. The woman then went on to a tell her that she doesn't brush her teeth and that there would be $1500.00's worth of treatment and was digging in her gums with the tooth scrapper and flossed her so hard my daughters chin hurt and she was bleeding. Turns out there are no new cavities after all. I went back into the office and blasted the two office ladies, who had nothing to do with this, but first in my sight to ask them if they knew why my daughter was crying. They of course didn't and were very apologetic. My daughter once calm relayed the rest the story, which I already described above. So my husband called to speak to someone with more authority then the two office ladies. He didn't seem to care nor offer an apology. We as a family had already decided that we were not going back there. But today in the mail I get a letter stating that we can't continue care there. So the staff can say whatever they want and hurt the patients and if you complain, you can't come back. Stay Away from this place or if you do go and you have a kiddo, go back with them. I wish my daughter would of told her off. You go to the dentist to have your teeth fixed, not receive unwarranted and unwanted backwoods parenting advice. We all parent differently and in our house once your 18, you start adulating. That means you have a job and you continue on with your education. You buy the things you want to have and I will take care of what you need. That is how we do things, and if someone else does it different that is fine too and also non of my business, just like it was none of this hygienists to say anything to my daughter about anything other then her teeth and even the teeth talk was inappropriate. So A+ Dental, don't worry we won't step foot back in your office and neither will family and friends that go there as well. Hope you get her in check and explain what her job is and what her job is not. I am angry that this happened and your lack of having any apology. We have given you 1000's of dollars over the years. At first I would have given them 5 stars. Now I wish I could give none. The front desk is super polite and the dentists are very honest on the care you need and walk you through everything. They are great at getting you in fast. Here's the thing. I needed a root canal and a tooth extraction. First did the root canal. Set up a payment plan as I am a lower income individual. They worked with me on this. Then later on went to have the tooth extracted and had to be put under for this. Again great customer service. But after my surgery was over, the bad happened. I was in excruciating pain the next couple of days. Called them all day. No one would pick up any phone at any near by office. Not even the Rocklin or other roseville locations. I couldn't take the pain anymore I had to see another dentist. Who couldn't get these people to pick up their phones to send over my X-rays. Had to pay for another set to be taken. It was not a holiday and was a normal week day. No reason for all the offices to not pick up. Now fast forward several months I am now getting hidden fees in the mail telling me my insurance denied something and have to pay even more money. Seeing as their billing paperwork is complicated enough to read I have no idea if I really do or not. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Dentists already have a bad rap and this place made my fear of them even worse. read more

I needed 4 crowns but there was a space where a tooth was missing next to them. Dr. Nguyen worked her magic and designed the crowns so that space was no longer there. I now have a smile that makes me feel like a new person. Heads up! Stay away from A Plus Dental/Personalized Dental Care in Roseville - both the Foothills and Coloma Way offices. Here's my story: My family and I live near the 4000 Foothills Boulevard office and were shopping for a new dentist so I decided to give A+ Dental a try. I made my first appointment and everything went well with my initial exam with Dr. N****n. Unfortunately, I had a tooth break not soon after my first visit and they got me in pretty quickly to get a temporary crown placed until the permanent one came back from the lab. The problems started after that! One of the Assistants placed the temporary crown and sent me on my way. As soon as the pain medication wore off I could tell that something was wrong. I couldn't bite down because the temp crown was misaligned and hitting my top teeth whenever I closed my mouth. Also, there was pain at the gum line that was severe. I had to leave work again and go back to the dentist the same day. They had me see the same Assistant who inserted the temporary crown and he filed the crown down until if was aligned with my top teeth. He said that he couldn't see a problem with the gums and assured me everything was fine - even though I was in pain. I left hoping that it would get better. Well, it didn't get better and a week or so later I had to return a third time to have it checked out. Dr. N****n examined the gums and found some cement embedded under the temporary crown. Ugh! How did they miss it the first few times!!? Anyway, after the permanent crown came in a few days later I went back to have it placed. Dr. N****n was there to do the procedure. She was chatting with her Assistant and casually gave me a shot to prepare for the procedure. Immediately I felt my heart start to race. "Oh no...it can't be!" I thought. "Was that epinephrine?" I asked. She froze. I told them that I was ALLERGIC to epinephrine when I first came in for a consultation-my heart rate increases to a dizzying rate and makes me feel like I will pass out. How in the world did they miss that?! Dr. N****n had me sit up and gave me some water. After some time, my heart stopped racing long enough for her to install the permanent crown. On my way out of the office the Assistant asked me if I would give them a positive online review, then after giving it some more thought and seeing me looking very unhappy, changed her mind about the request. A+ Dental on Coloma Way also made some mistakes with my son's dental care and tried to charge us $3000 for a wisdom tooth extraction. I shopped around and found another provider to do the work for less than $2000. To make matters worse, during our initial visit, Dr. T. N*****n, said my son had a cyst that was going to need to be biopsied and sent to a pathology dept. at a hospital (which would be an additional fee) - she also told a disturbing story about one patient who had a similar cyst that grew from the jaw line up to his eye socket. We were horrified and worried to say the least! Could our son have the same problem?! After visiting two other dentists and the Radiology team at Sutter for a second and third opinion we learned there was no cyst. She made a terrible misdiagnosis! Then, they billed us $200 (in addition to fees for the visit billed to my insurance) for her "Professional Consultation" fee. I was not told that there would be an out of pocket charge for an additional fee before I scheduled to appointment - a fee that most insurance won't cover. I was outraged and called to dispute it. The billing rep told me "Oh, it's only $105". I asked why I was billed $200 and she had no answer. This place is very unprofessional in their practice. They definitely don't get an A+ grade from me!! Steer clear at all costs and save yourself a headache and some money. read more
