Avoid this company at all costs…read more I reserved a minivan weeks in advance through Expedia, but before pickup I received an email stating they had run out of available minivans and could only offer a 5-seat SUV, which did not meet my reservation. The email explicitly said I could cancel if the replacement did not work for me. I canceled because Routes could not provide the vehicle I reserved. However, they refused to issue a full refund, even though they admitted they were unable to fulfill the reservation. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company. This left my family scrambling to find another rental at the last minute, costing us valuable vacation time and significantly more money. A confirmed reservation should mean something. If a company cannot honor reservations, it should not continue accepting bookings or ask customers to cancel themselves. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your time, money, and travel plans.

The cars are also cleaned thoroughly. We've had rental cars that were clean enough but this one looked as though it had really been detailed, and I really appreciate a clean rental car. It just makes it so much more comfortable to drive. For drop off, we were able to drop off in Downtown for no price difference (not sure if this is a Avis Preferred benefit or not). Overall, it was a quick and smooth experience - not something you can often say about airport rental car pickups.

I used it to drive a group of girls for a Bachelorette party to and from Whistler. I had scheduled the pickup for Friday at 8am and the drop off for Monday at 8am. I showed up 30 mins early for pickup and was greeted by the staff, who informed me that my vehicle would be ready soon. Then I watched as they vacuumed and sanitized the entire inside of the vehicle. And they washed the outside as well. I did online check-in 2 days in advance so the entire process was very quick and efficient. They explained all the rental details to me and had me do a walk around of the vehicle to check for any damages. I had a few questions about some of the controls inside the vehicle, so they helped answer those questions for me as well. All the staff I spoke to were super friendly and helpful. The vehicle was super clean and in good condition. It drove nicely. I had zero issues on the road. I showed up a few minutes early to return the vehicle and they were already ready for me. The return was even faster than the check-in. Renting a vehicle is not cheap. But the fact that I received such great service from these folks means that the next time I need to rent a car, I will definitely be coming back to them for sure. My car is a 2022 Acura RDX which is classified as a luxury compact, and they promised me a comparable compact about a day or 2 before I picked up the vehicle. When I arrived they said the compact was gone and gave me a Mazda Cx-3, which is a sub-compact and very small. I called to complain later in the week and was asked to call again on Monday. They promised me a Kia Seltos for me to pick up. The Seltos was also rented out when I arrived 2 hrs later and I ended up with a sh*tty Mitsubishi Eclipse. 3 issues I) not happy they promised me a vehicle and then discovering it's gone when I arrive 2) My vehicle is a luxury SUV, and the 4 vehicles that I was offered and / or drove were not in this vehicle class 3) trying to pass off the 1st car (Mazda CX 3) as a substitute for my vehicle This company is as sleazy as they come as they treat ICBC customers as a low priority. The worst thing is they will charge ICBC for compact but give me a sub-compact as a loaner just so they can save money. End result is they rip-off ICBC and me the customer!
