My bf and I got a car from them for our extended trip in Vancouver. Via my work we booked our car during the week via Hertz and for our extended weekend we booked with Enterprise. You can see the difference between the two. Enterprise office is outside in the parking lot area, they have a little booth. Once you are done with the paper work the staff walked you out to the car and did a thorough review of the car with you. At Hertz earlier during the week I got the car myself. Return process was also easy. One thing we forgot to mention to them when we returned it was we got a Kia, exact one from Hertz, but the wireless charging station in the Enterprise Kia did not work. No big deal so we forgot to even mention it when we returned the car. read more

I'm writing this review because Ash was so helpful when we came to pick up our car rental. Google and Yelp said that this location closed at 1 AM and we thought we missed it because we landed from our flight at 1:15 AM. When we got there, Ash told us that they usually close at 1 AM but decided to stay an extra 30 minutes just in case -- BLESS HIS HEART for this coincidence. He saw that we were clearly exhausted and stressed so he was calm, empathetic, and kind the entire time. He answered all our questions and went over all the Canadian traffic regulations quickly. We're so so appreciative of Ash and his help. This 15 minute interaction reset the mood for our trip in Canada. Definitely ask for Ash if you're visiting this enterprise location. read more

This place definitely deserves a re-do on my last review here. I had reserved a car through my corporate travel. Unfortunately due to weather delays I arrived eight hours past my reservation time. Well no worries they still hold your car here. When I got to Vancouver Airport I went outside to catch the shuttle bus to their offsite location. Once onboard they ask your name than call it in on the phone so they are ready for you when you arrive. Well you can imagine after flying all day I was pretty worn out and I must have looked it. Because once we arrived I was quickly taken care of more so than usual. As the man behind the counter walked me around the rental he said and when you bring it back... This is where I chimed in and said yes bring it back full. He said no worries I got you covered. Funny thing it was like he knew I wouldn't be using much gas. Also because I took full insurance he even said just bring back the steering wheel you are covered. Well I knew what he meant and was grateful as I was already up for 20 hours and his kindness made all the difference in the World. read more

My rental experience was great until I returned the car and realized that I left my cell phone in the returned car. Event tough I got a call that my phone was located and will be returned, it was never followed up. Per return procedure rental office was supposed to send an email for return logistics for payment and tracking information. I visited this location within a month to retrieve my phone but they were not able to locate it and they did not even have record of it. read more

Monday, May 15, 2019 @ 2:38 I returned a weekend rental to their Beckwith location in Richmond. Upon drop off, the lady who took the car back was nice and friendly. As far as the rest of the services goes, it was horrendous. My office is 750 meters away from their location (according to google maps), and was refused a ride back. By my count there were 5 staff inside, 2 shuttle drivers and a lady outside with her hands in her pocket standing beside another fellow chatting. I took a picture of the 2 people as proof, but won't post to save them from embarrassment. For the fun of it, I took a taxi back to the office, and it only cost me $4.13, and for anyone who has taken a taxi ride in the Vancouver Lower Mainland before, you know the moment you sit inside the cab, the meter starts at $3.65. With that in mind, That is how close my office is to the Beckwith Location. I have rented from other Companies before, and in the situations where I required a ride somewhere, rarely was I ever declined. However, in the cases where they could not offer a ride, it was either due to lack of staff or it was simply too far, neither of these reasons would apply to this. So, with nearly 10 people kicking around, noone was able to drive one of the 13 cars on the lot to take me 750 meters or 3 minutes. Just for the record, I did say to them my office is only 3 long blocks away. The story gets better, I called customer service to file a complaint, and the fellow who took the call at first never asked where I rented from, my reservation number or even my contact info. He simply said, "I've filed this complaint for you", I then said to him, you don't know my last name, nor anything about the rental, how is a complaint filed. I pushed and after some effort, he finally gave me a case number. This is after asking for my rental info. I cannot in good conscience ever rent from them again nor recommend them to anyone asking who who is good to rent a car from. read more

I reserved a truck online for a 3 week vacation in Canada. When I arrived I was picked up by the shuttle at the airport parking lot, which is easy to find. It only took 15 minutes to get to the airport off site location and then about 45 minutes until I got the exact vehicle I wanted (RAM 1500 Crew Cab). I arrived a little bit ahead of time, so I didn't mind the wait. The employees there were a good conversation and seemed to actually be interested in what I was talking about. I got two bottles of water for free because I had to wait a little. They offered me another vehicle (BMW 5 series) which most other people would have preferred, but I wanted to drive a truck which we don't get to see or drive very often in Germany. After one week my wife also arrived in Vancouver so I wanted to add her to the rental agreement as well. I drove to a location in downtown Vancouver to do that but they have a different computer system. I drove there for nothing but it turns out that all you need to to is give them a call and add a second driver over the phone. That was excellent and I wish I had known that earlier. We put on 5700km in three weeks and loved every minute of it! Especially in the rocky mountains the four wheel drive came in handy since there was a lot of snow already. Dropping it off was really easy and fast. We didn't have to wait for the shuttle either. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and will rent with them again next time. Thanks! read more

As some might know, I am NOT overly picky about who I rent my vehicles from when I'm away from home on vacation or for work. I mostly focus on the "bang for the buck" factor. Unfortunately, in this case, it looked as if my rental philosophy was going to bite me in the ass: We arrived from Honolulu in to Vancouver on a rather crisp fall morning in November to find that I didn't bother to check if the Enterprise rental counter was at the terminal or required a shuttle. Sadly, it required the latter (every other rental car company, by the way, were conveniently located at the terminal). Once I eventually found where the shuttle pick-up spot was (thank you Avis girl), I dragged my not-so-happy and COLD aloha family to the unheated, outdoor pick-up spot to wait for what seemed like an hour (although it was likely only 15 minutes or so). Once the shuttle arrived, and the driver greeted us, and loaded our luggage aboard, our experience took an incredibly positive turn. EVERYONE at the service counter was friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. Our rental van was literally waiting for us upon our arrival at the depot (right outside the door). And to make matters better ..... the vehicle was almost new, and surprisingly looked new (rental cars are usually in terrible shape regardless of the age). The rental agents helped load our bags into the van and even walked us through its features. If it weren't for having to catch a shuttle from the airport, this visit would have rated 5 stars. The pick up spot is off the airport site. But there are free shuttle to take you there. Its take me awhile to find the shuttle since the mislead sign and direction My friend make reservation for compact size car but they dont have it.. So I got free upgrade to Toyota Corolla. After finished all the paperwork, I told the agent I dont want any dark color car.. Guess what color is the car? Charcoal.. ah yah.. I refused to take it and ask for light color car.. I was aiming for Malibu but for extra fee. I try to convince the agent for another free upgrade. Agent try whatever she could and I got free upgrade.. I was happy with the car, which is bigger and more comfortable for 2 1/2 hrs drive to Whistler. Also, the agent print out the direction since GPS is like $12 a day. read more

I "reserved" a van for a large group, but when I got there they didn't have any vans or other vehicles that were large enough, so we got stuck squeezing all our luggage around us in the cabin. I don't know why they think it's OK to tell people that they will have a certain vehicle type available, then stick them in whatever vehicle they have handy. It was also dirty as there was a chunk of cheese in one of the cupholders and something sticky in another one. I'll definitely not rent with Enterprise again. read more

Normally I don't write reviews for car rental companies because they're mostly all the same to me, but in this case I must. The guys at this Enterprise location are the definition of customer service. Friend and I arrived at the YVR airport and were transported to the rental place which was offsite via shuttle. It's my first time in Vancouver and I wanted to drive the 99 highway up to Whistler in a convertible so I had a reservation for one. They had one waiting for me but in their pre-check process the check engine light came on. They offered to go and retrieve one from another location which would take about 30 minutes. There was a nice cafe near by so they suggested we grab some coffee while waiting and they took care of my tab to help make up for not having the reservation ready. While we waited, we observed how the agents interacted with other customers. All of them were friendly, upbeat, and determined to make sure everyone was having a good experience. This sticks out to me because in the travel industry it's not easy to do all the time. And it wasn't just one or two agents, it was the whole team at the office that was this way. Once we were finally on the road, one of the agents sent an e-mail that night with contact info and other helpful tips that we might need during our trip. This was a nice personal touch that most rental car companies don't do. Not being from Vancouver I didn't realize how much traffic there would be around the time of my return of the car. I ended up being over an hour late but they were completely understanding. Not only did they help us with this, but they even offered to drop us off at the nearby subway station so we could get to our next destination. In any customer service business you'll have good experiences and bad. The experience I had here was exceptional, so much that I'd feel wrong not leaving a review. Car rental companies may feel like they're a dime a dozen many times, but this one Enterprise rental location is definitely a cut above the rest. I would highly recommend renting a car from here. read more

Paid reservation fee to reserve a car and no car available when I'm in the shop.... and not able to refund the fee.

You should be dropping off vehicle at autoshop (Other rental companies do this) Call if running late (over an hour late and unfriendly, then later told couldn't help as they were now closed). Had to take a taxicab. Reservation but refusal to pick me up, until insisted/spoke to manager. At end of rental was told a $100 charge to drop off at another location closer to autoshop (although initially told in beginning that this was acceptable. Stress, looking for someone to drive me/get a taxicab again. Called ICBC to complain and they said they did not know how to help but that with my RoadPlus I had up to $750. 00 and I only spent $26.29/day for a week. Called head of Enterprise and was told ICBC clients can drop off at any location (no extra charge). Sooooooo many contradictions, lack of communication, unprofessionalism and unfriendly. I have had an Electric car for a few years and pay my townhouse complex a monthly fee of $40/mth. (I asked you have an EV rental). To fill the gas car halfway upon returning vehicle cost $54.00. Autoshop was not impressed at all at beginning or ending of rental for me and said there is history of unhappy customers. I work for school board, volunteer with different organizations and will be sharing my experience. Bad news spreads like wildfire but I am going to assume this large company will not even acknowledge. Why ask for feedback ? read more

After being ripped off by another car rental company, I didn't expect good things going into this transaction, as I felt that any car rental company was a scam. Enterprise greeted my party with bottles of water and lots of smiles, in true Canadian hospitality. We were were upgraded to a newer vehicle (with only 200 kilometers!) after being given great directions to our destination by the friendly staff. Upon return, it was a painless check in, with no unexpected or unexplained taxes or fees. Great job, Enterprise - I promise we'll be back. read more

I pick enterprise because they are the lowest online in Vancouver. usually in big city airport you can spot enterprise as soon as you grab your luggage. not in YVR you must walk across parking lot to find the bus. anyway information center lady help me with direction. it was nissan versa and so far it was good experienced with enterprise. unlike Budget where I heard a lot of negative experienced. read more

Check hours before booking!!! We thought this location would be really convenient for our return because of its proximity to the airport. In our experience airport locations are 24/7 or, worst-case-scenario, have a drop-box for keys. We didn't think to look at the operating hours and when we picked up the rental car, the guy checking us out told us that there was a shuttle that picks people up to go to the airport every 10 minutes...he didn't ask us about what our flight schedule was. Well, our flight was at 6am on a Sunday morning and we literally had to put our keys under a rock (total panic mode). Luckily, customer service was pretty helpful as we explained to them where we had left our key. They definitely need to get a drop-box for this location because we were not the only ones out there putting keys under rocks... read more

Unbeknownst to me (until we got there), I mistakenly booked a midsize car in advance at the Vancouver WA location--not Vancouver BC. We're naturally from out of the country and didn't notice the difference....oops. So the cost difference was about $250 CAD ($190 US), pretty significant for my error. We just got into BC from our flight and we were tired and stressed. But, the manager, Mohamed, definitely took care of us. He gave us the original price that I'd purchased online for the other location!! Also, we were able to upgrade class for only $10 CAD! EXCELLENT customer service, and we'll certainly get a car from Enterprise again!! HIghly recommend! read more

I have had a terrible experience with Enterprise, they left me waiting over 1 hour, after 5 phone calls, they finally arrived and the driver immediately started to give me attitude about how he could not find me because he didn't know what I looked like. I blasted him the he was not wearing a company shirt and the vehicle had not logo to identify him. Every call that I made was met with confusion, I really believe they do not know what they are doing. Interesting that their phone message talks about great pick up service, do not believe it. Avoid the Enterprise at Golden Mile, Victoria Park and Eglinton, Toronto. Never, never again. read more

** Beware of Premium Location and Pick up fee *** I book a car at this Vancouver airport location. When I arrive at the airport, I find that I have to walk a long way to a parking lot before the Enterprise shuttle will pick us up. While walking along the long path, I see my hotel shuttle, I have to say I want to board but I still have to pick up my car rental. I wait for about 10 minutes and the car rental shuttle arrives. The location is near the YVR airport and is next to Costco. When we step off the shuttle, the bus driver and the office staff come out to move all our luggages into the office. We just have to go to the counter to deal with our rental. Ellaine is nice to show us the car either a Toyota Corolla or a Nissan Altima. We pick the Altima. Since it is black in color, you can easily see many small scratches on the car. They are noted on the lease agreement. The first GPS installed is not that good and Ellaine on her own change another new one for us. I am happy with the car except the accelerated speed is a bit slow. The Garmin GPS, however, sometimes lost its way and the car position is in between streets or at sea. It may take a few minutes before it can find its way out. I explain the situation when I return my car and they are nice to reduce 1 day charges from the bill ($10.99 plus tax). However, I do not know that the bill include a 9 litre refueling charge ($18 plus tax) and a premium location fee. After returning to Toronto, I call in and explain that I can send them my own refueling bill to show that the fuel I put in is enough for the mileage I drove. Laura promises to reimburse the charges back to my credit card within next 48 hours. I will wait and see. As for the Premium location fee (7.95 plus tax), it cannot be waived as it is a standard charge to pick up from the airport. If you plan to pick up somewhere else than the airport but drop off at the airport, Enterprise will charge you a drop off fee of $50 !!! read more

Well we booked a Taboe cause we had a group of 5 with snowboards and luggages/duffel bags so we needed the room. When we arrived all they had was a Durango and a Traverse. Both were just a tad small where it was tough to load everything in along with a visit to Costco. The Tahoe would've fit but just barely. The agent that was helping us was cordial but gave us the same speech of the "ad states the class of car but does not promise a specific car" blah blah blah. I totally understand cause I work in the automobile industry so no worries. But they did accommodate us by matching another agency's price on a Traverse (which we chose) thanks to the wifey. So all is good. We made it work. After all it's a vacation so we weren't about to let a lil complication ruin the start of an awesome vacation. Enterprise came through! read more

My friend (LV) and myself (HI) booked a compact car from this location that's conveniently accessible by shuttle. Scott took care of us upon arrival and a lovely lady (whom I forgot her name) took EXCEPTIONAL CARE of us when returning the car. She helped us with additional services after a slight problem and even took us to the airport so we didn't miss our flight to SF. Her warm hearted soul made us feel so fortunate, because me and my friend did our studies in Hawaii for Hospitality and Tourism we could immediately tell that she was great at her job. Although she may not be from Hawaii we could sense that"Aloha Spirit"! I booked a car at the YVR Airport location. I found that I have to walk a long way to a parking lot to the Enterprise shuttle, their office is out of airpot (Offsite). It takes around 10 minutes to arrive their place with the shuttle!! The front desk assistant are really nice and friendly. You have to return the car to the same place and get the shuttle to airport again. They don't have drop off place at air port and the shuttle return you to their pick up place. At least, they return customers at the arrival doors. read more

The shuttle driver and staff I dealt with were all very friendly so from that perspective it was great. The only staff issue was one employee did not understand the rules of putting gas in the car before you bring it back or prepay for a full tank and gave me incorrect information. He told me to use what I needed, bring the car back without worrying about filling it up. He then told me they had gas on-site and would only charge me for what I used. It seemed a little strange but I was tired and in a hurry so I didn't say anything. The problem I have is not having to taking a shuttle from the airport to the Enterprise location. The shuttle pick up point is a pretty lengthy walk from the terminal which could be a lot of fun with lots of luggage or kids (I had neither). The thing I did not like and which is why I will use Enterprise's sister company, National, the next time is I expected to be dropped off at the terminal, not the same shuttle pick up spot. I may be picky but when I am at the airport as much as I am, convenience and time saving is what I look for most. National by the way has their registration counter in the parking garage at the terminal. read more

Customer service here was superb! Mr. Muhammed Mayyazhi really knows how to take care of his customers and was very friendly. If his supervisor is reading, give this guy a raise or promotion. He was great. I let them know that the windshield wipers were in need of replacement (just so they knew, not complaining) and he offered a discount on the next rental. Very professional man who obviously values hard work and strives to do his job the best he can. It was refreshing to find that kind of service. read more

Location is a bit inconvenient compared to their competitors, and the shuttle location at the airport is not marked very well. Be very careful at this location. Usually Enterprise is great, but this time they accused me of a small amount of damage to the rental that I didn't do. I told them there was no problems and that I didn't damage anything. I've always been a good driver with a clean record, and to have someone accuse you of something you didn't do is infuriating. So much for customer service or listening to the customer.....they obviously don't care when there's damage to try and pin on someone. I'm guessing one of their previous renters damaged the vehicle or one of the staff members while parking the car possibly, who knows. Unless your a certified mechanic and do a full inspection of the car before driving away I strongly suggest you go somewhere else. read more

Service was over the top. All the staff were friendly including the drivers. Provided with umbrella for the very short walk from the car. It's offsite, but was in the direction I had to go anyway, so it was nice to have some time to chill before tackling the traffic. And I never had to wait more than 5 min for a shuttle bus. read more
