She helped us during a very difficult time in our lives and we will always be so grateful for their sensitivity and ability to help us get through that time. Carmen set-up a Trust for my Mom and Dad in 2023, and we are continuing to work with her and her office now that my father has passed. Excellent service and an incredible advocate for her clients.

She did our initial trust in 2017 and we were provided a full binder with all of our documents. Came back a few years ago to make a couple of updates with Ms. Megan Martin and she was helpful. Cut to a week ago, we needed a few additional updates made so we met with Carmen and she said it would be easier to just redo all the documents and hung onto our full binder, which we thought was odd when we just had a few updates to make. When the time came to sign the agreement, I had questions about the language in the agreement. After a few times chasing them, her assistant said someone was supposed to call me but no one ever did. I called back and the assistant proceeded to pass along the questions I had to Carmen but when her assistant called back the responses still did not answer any of my questions so my husband frustratingly reiterated the questions we had to her assistant once again before we would sign anything. Carmen finally decided to call us back to tell us she didn't want us as clients anymore, which is fine since we were less than pleased with her service at this point. We came back to pick up our binder with our documents so we could go elsewhere and they had taken our paperwork out of the binder and put them in a folder to return to us! Literally a file folder with loose papers is what they handed back to us, not in the original condition it was even provided to them. We've had this binder in our possession for nearly a decade when we met with her initially. They stated it was THEIR binder and she actually took the binder back. Who does that, it's so petty! That just shows you the kind of person and lawyer she is. I'd leave zero stars now if I could.

Trusts are complicated and my mom isn't an attorney so she relied on them to give her solid advice and she told them what she wanted. The meeting was about an hour and it was with the owner of the firm and one of his associate attorneys who was female. By the time it was time for my mom to sign the trust a couple of weeks later, it was not what she expected. I was in the room and expressed my concern at the outcome. There was a big problem with the trust that was not explained to her beforehand. She asked for it to be fixed and this is when the female attorney started blaming us for wasting her time. She didn't use those exact words, but she blamed us for the mistake, which seemed odd because it was something they should have warned us about or explained to us. She was making it all our fault and then saying she didn't have time to fix it. She had another client right after us. The trust would have to be completely redone and this time it wasn't a packaged deal...meaning more than $3,000....lots more. My mom was very upset by this and I was trying to help by pointing out the issues but the attorney kept interrupting her and I and the next thing you know, she's yelling at both of us. At this point, we asked if we could just meet with the Mr. Dallara himself but she said that wasn't a possibility at all and she was offended by what we wanted...because it was clear we did not find her professional at all. That's when it went completely off the rails. More yelling and turning the tables on us. By the end of all this, my mom is very very upset, and she gets up to leave and I go to get her walker and by that time this attorney is telling us she doesn't want us as a client anyways. I literally had to hold up my hand to motion for her to stop yelling at us as we were leaving the room. How completely rude! My mother is elderly and disabled and this was completely unprofessional. If something is not done right, you should fix it. You should not be blaming people who don't even understand the law...that's what the lawyer is for! We were not unreasonable. We were not rude to her. Both of us were shocked by the treatment we received. She's simply not the type of person who likes to be wrong and she was and was embarrassed by it and make it OUR fault instead. [Even though this review is in my hand, my mother has read and approved what I've said. She has a broken hand from falling the other day and cannot type on a computer. I was also a witness to everything that happened. ]

We had previously contacted another firm by phone and was disappointed with their responses. We found Goldfarb & Luu and we were extremely impressed with the information they provided by phone. The employees who answered the phone answered our questions and were knowledgeable, and friendly. They walked us through the process and explained how we would work with the lawyers. We received a email with a video discussing the many issues we needed to include in our trusts. We received Homework to complete such as what are our memorial arrangements, names of doctors, allergies, specific gifts we would like to give to family. Most important were things like quality of life, what would we like if we were placed in a home. We're impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of both lawyers and the knowledgeable employees, and the invaluable guidance we received from this law firm. We especially enjoyed how personable and thorough Rebecca and Dinh were in executing our two Trusts! We highly recommend this firm they are experts at handing Living Trusts.

It's like getting legal services from long lost family members who happen to be lawyers.

By the time the discussion of getting his finances settled began, he was already very weak and barely able to hold a pen, let alone use a mouse and keyboard to do anything on his own. We learned he never completed a living trust, and so it looked like it might not happen. We would need someone who would be willing to actually go to a nursing facility and to be patient to sit down and talk with him, who was very weak and could only mostly answer yes and no questions. He was only able to stay awake and pay attention for a couple minutes at a time so we knew it wouldn't be easy. We reached out to multiple firms and most were unwilling or unable to provide such services under such circumstances. Helen from Trusted Legal Document Services was willing, however. She was understanding and patient with our situation. She was also responsive and made us feel like our needs were a priority. At the end, she was able to help my father complete his living trust. She truly went above and beyond what we expected from this process. We are thankful we found her through yelp and highly recommend anyone to consider similar legal services through her!
