Yesterday…read morewe had a house fire, I was in the shower when the alarms went off and immediately grabbed a towel and rushed out of my room to find the credenza engulfed in huge flames heading strait up to my children's rooms. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and started fighting the fire in my towel while screaming for my husband. I put out the fire and ran to my room to find my phone. I had two missed calls 4 minutes apart from bat over the course of 13 minutes. I called them back and told them that I had put out the fire and when would fire rescue be here. He had me give him my passcode then told me no worries they weren't dispatched have a good day. 8am sharp this morning I called bat security and asked the very sweet and kind front desk lady to get me a supervisor. I was transferred to Kyle the co owner. I explained to him the situation. He said he had no knowledge of this and this was the first he was hearing of it and asked me to give him a few minutes to investigate and call back, I told him to call my husband and to then arrange a time to come and get his gear out of my house because we were done. His tone then changed and he gruffly said he would look into it and call us back. He then called my husband a few moments later and said that they responded to the alarm and called my cell within four minutes, stating "that's a pretty reasonable call back time" my husband then tried to go to explain that the 2 calls were not the issue, the issue was 2 calls were made for an active fire alarm where no one answered and the fire department was never notified nor dispatched (I double checked this) As my husband was trying to explain this to Kyle, he was interrupted over and over to the point that he said "will you please stop interrupting me and let me finish" He then tried to go back to speaking and Kyle cut him off again. At that point my calm and cool husband had had it and said "if you cut me off one more time I am hanging up." Kyle's reply "pfft, go ahead, hang up!" ........ the owner people. So my husband did, he hung up. He then called back to speak to the front desk lady and asked what we needed to do to cancel and she said a letter was necessary which he then wrote and emailed over. We have been loyal customers to Bat security going on 6 years, the highest package they had, over $100 a month, never late on a payment EVER and trusted them with the safety and security of our home even when they ignored our repeated requests to fix our malfunctioning cameras. This is how we were treated after our home was on fire and they neglected the call for help from my monitored system. If you use Bat security head my warning and do not trust them with the safety of your home and family. The level of disrespect and carelessness on the part of the owner Kyle is beyond words. I am aghast.
