I have only been here two time and both times were amazing! Talk about the best way to celebrate your birthday. The first massage was the basic swedish massage. I felt like a new person afterwards. It wasn't too intense but I could tell that my muscle were more relaxed afterwards. The lady who did the massage was great. I felt comfortable with her and didn't feel bad telling her to ease up (I'm rather sensitive). The music wasn't too loud, the candles weren't overwhelming and incense didn't overpower with its smell. A very relaxing atmosphere...as a spa should be. I loved it! The second massage was the hot rocks massage. I had never heard of this. It was more of a relaxing massage instead of trying to get knots out of your muscles. The smooth rocks are massaged all over your body. It's devine! The spa itself isn't very big which is fine with me. As far as I'm concerned as long as the massage room are to my liking that's all that matters. I don't need a place to sit and chat. When we or originally planned a trip we had appointments at a different spa. A few days before our arrival they called and had to cancel our appointments due to staffing issue. We did a Google search ( I know should have used Yelp ) and found A Simple Touch Spa. They were able to accommodate both of our facials and body treatments so that we were start and end at the same time. Even better the price was about 1/3 less than the spa we originally booked. I was a little worried that you get what you pay for but it was not the case. My friend's therapist was the owner, Jin, my therapist was Jeffery. The sugar scrub also had a wonderful moisture oil that left my skin smooth and the water in the shower beaded up as I removed the sugar. The facial was all herbal products so no stinging or redness. While the moisture mask was doing its thing he gave the best foot and neck massage. My girlfriend was equally pleased with Jin and we both agreed we were happy our original spa canceled on us! If you want ambiance then this spa might not be for you. It is simple in looks but if you're wanting a great experience I highly recommend them. read more

I was surprised with a deep tissue massage from my husband, which was awesome and exciting. And my back badly needed the work...when I arrived I was greeted by the nice stand in receptionist, so far, so good. I waited for my turn, then was approached by the owner who was in barefeet...um, not so professional in my eyes, I mean I realize this is a spa, but who is treating who here? Professional? Survey says..not really. Getting over that was not all that difficult, I've worked in spas before and all practitioners have there "ways" of working out their clients, so no big deal. I undressed, got onto my bed, etc...and my relaxing hour was ready to roll...except, she talked non-stop. At one point, she stopped talking, but only long enough for her to run out of the room to do something at the front desk, leaving me massageless and half my body exposed to the waiting room...um, did she forget to close the door? Interesting. All in all, my massage was good, not sure about deep and but the conversation was WAY too much. Look, I'm sure you're a wonderful person and at most other times I'd be up for the "life of you" conversation but not during my one hour massage. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back, but I don't think that was what my husband intended when he sent me away from the kid for an hour of relaxation at that rate... Basically, I could have had him massage me on the couch with my toddler screaming throughout the living room and had just about the same "relaxing" experience. Enough said. Recommendation: If you do visit I would recommend letting your practitioner know right up front that you're there to relax and take it in and that you'd like the conversation limited. Had I had a moment to get a word in, I would have cut her off. But alas, wasn't so. read more

so, this was by far the most interesting massage i've ever had! ( to put it nicely) My boyfriend and i went here, with little knowledge of the facility, to enjoy a peacful, relaxing couples massage. the massage therapists talked the entire time and even used curse words! some jokes were told that were out of line, and to top it off, the massage was just ok. i did recieve 10% off for "being cute" but even still the massages came to $182. not really woth it in my eyes! read more

First of all, I am very slow in writing my reviews due to many reasons, finally I decided to share my wonderful experience at A simple Touch Spa. My massage was related to my neck and shoulder pain, which was bothering me for a long time. Jin, first talked to me briefly to understand my pain situation, then she began working on me with full attention of pressure balance (I found this very unique, and so amazing ). She even gave me complimentary hot stones because my muscles were so tight. The massage felt great and made me feel relax (my goal achieved). I am grateful for the relief of releasing tension in those muscle areas. I have received a follow up email and was asked if I have anything to say- Yes I did say- I had an awesome experience!! Heaven. Pure heaven. At first when we walked in I was unsure because they seemed to be running around & the lady at the desk was very loud & I was there for quiet relaxation. It was pretty cold outside when my friend & I went, but it was not even a little warm inside, and didn't get any better through the whole hour massage. I was shivering under the blankets. My massage was ok, nothing spectacular, but my friend's masseuse talked non-stop through the whole thing and her room smelled like cigarette smoke. Not relaxing. We got a discount because of the hotel we were staying at, but deal or no deal I can't recommend this spa experience. read more

It was my first time getting a massage here and thought it was a good massage. I looked online to see what they offered and wanted a deep tissue massage. I called and Jin booked my appointment right then and there. An hour later I was getting a massage. How nice! Jin, the owner, as well as a massage therapist was very friendly and helpful. The experience was very relaxing and enjoyable. The massage itself was good, but wished it could have been longer( of course) and deeper in some areas as well as maybe spent a little more time on the feet and shins. My husband and I came up for our wedding anniversary and so, of course, a couples massage was in order. I picked this place due to great reviews, proximity to where we were going to have dinner right after and that they accepted spafinder gift cards. Just like other massage places, we filled out a form detailing our body history and preferences. A husband and wife team came out to greet us and read our forms, brought us into our room and continued to go over the forms with us. On my form, I indicated that I wanted focus on my back, shoulders and neck with little work on my legs. My masseuse verbally confirmed this but when all was said and done, it honestly felt like half of my 80 min massage was on my legs and only a quarter to a third of the massage was on my back/shoulders. I thought maybe it was just me because I know I dozed off a few times considering I only slept 2 hours the night before but when I asked my husband how his massage was, his first response was that he's never had a massage with that much work on his legs before. He said his legs were sore after the massage. Because it was a husband-wife team, we concluded that they must have given the same exact cookie-cutter massage to both of us, completing ignoring what we wrote on our forms. Sad, because I enjoyed talking with Jin before and after the massage, whom everyone is speaking so highly of. Wished she was one of our therapists. My massage at Simple Touch Spa not only felt amazing - it actually healed me. I have been getting massages for over 20 years and can honestly say that Patty (the massage therapist I had and continue to go to) is the BEST I've ever had. Usually massages only feel good during the session and maybe you feel relaxed for the rest of the day - then you get back into your routine and get achey again. The spa has undergone a facelift and it looks beautiful. The dark color is gone and replaced with a very soft calm color and the new spa looks uplifting. The spa is under new management. Now you can expect to be pampered instead of having your ear talked off by the woman who used to own it. The moment we walked in we felt like we were entering a friends' home because the staff greeted my party in such a warm and friendly manner. I wanted to experience their famous baths and my massage therapist, Dee Dee suggested I have the Fango Mud because it takes away all the muscle pain and she was right. I felt totally relaxed after the bath and then I proceeded to have the best massage I have ever had. I recomend Dee Dee who is new to the spa. I think the reason she is such a good massage therapist is because she really cares and wanted to make sure all of my issues were addressed. I knew from the e-mail communications Jin and I had back and forth that this was going to be a good experience, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door, we were given the VIP treatment. Jim had a beautiful plate of sliced watermelon and another plate with the most beautiful strawberries, along with a bottle of chilled white wine just waiting for us. There were 3 of us and we opted to wait to enjoy the fruit and wine when we were done. I get massages pretty regularly and opted for the 90 minute Swedish massage and had Jin as my massage therapist. My sister and niece, who don't do spa dates often opted for the 30 minute massage and 30 minute facial. I have to say that Jin did a fantastic job and zeroed in on specific areas of my body that needed attention. The other gals in my party said they really enjoyed their massage and facials, too. Afterward, we chatted with Jin for a bit while we enjoyed the beautiful fruit. We weren't in the mood for the wine and Jin insisted that we take the unopened bottle with us, which was very generous. We enjoyed it another night. I would definitely recommend this spa to anybody looking for very reasonably priced spa services. Don't let the prices fool you, as this is a first class place and Jin is a first class act! read more
