It's an okay spot for boba and street food. We ordered the avocado shake, Panda milk tea, taro fresh milk tea, green onion pancake, popcorn chicken, calamari, and siu mai. The food and drinks are okay overall. The avocado shake and milk teas were good, and we enjoyed most of the food. The only item we didn't like was the siu mai--it tasted old and wasn't very flavorful. I would have given a higher rating, but I was disappointed with the customer service. My daughter politely asked for the Wi-Fi password, and the cashier said she didn't know it. That was a bit frustrating, especially since it was difficult to communicate. There may have been a language barrier, and I understand everyone has challenges, so I don't want to be too harsh. Overall, the food and drinks are okay, but a friendlier customer service experience would have made our visit much better. read more

Really nice little cafe in a strip mall by Home Depot, here in Brentwood/ Antioch CA. Spoke with the owner, very passionate about her stores, think her other location is in Concord CA by Walnut Creek. Not that I know where that is, I'm from SoCAL. 魯肉飯 Lu-rou-fan was good, a decent interpretation, but I would give it higher marks if they pressure cooked the Pork Skin. And then cubed them in the slow cook marinade along with more Red Onion Crisps (but then again too much work). My aunt used to sell 魯肉飯 Braised Cubed Pork Belly Rice in Kaohsiung Taiwan. Very Old School Taiwanese recipe, that you find in the heart of Taiwanese Night Markets. So growing up I've always had a specific flavor profile I'm expecting, a mix of gelatin from the pork skins, a balance of fatless meats, and a blend of pork belly fat, equalized with soy sauce, rock sugar, 5 spices, white pepper, and crispy red onions. Ok, enough about the pork belly cubed rice. The fruit tea is phenomenal! And so I walked out with another order in hand. Stopped by around 5:30 PM today. The parking lot was empty which wasn't a surprise since I used to take my daughter to the little gym and it's normally pretty dead. We ordered the brown sugar boba, some kind of fruit tea with popping boba and two Bánh mì sandwiches. The gentleman heard my little one pointing at the labubu jelly and he was SO nice and gave her one! It don't cross my mind that the labubu was actually edible jelly. They are very cute and very good! She picked yellow, which was mango flavored and finished the whole thing. It's the first time since we moved here that we got Bánh mì sandwiches (at least from what I could remember) and they really satisfied my cravings. The bread is perfectly crispy and the ratio of meat to pickled veggies were perfect. I ordered the pork belly while my husband got the beef brisket and both were phenomenal. We just moved to Oakley and we noticed that there aren't many Boba stores in the area. We found Teapot on Yelp and noticed a good review. We drove to a complex and parking is abundant. We ordered online and we got our order within 10 minutes. I had their Tiger Milk Tea. You can ask for the amount of sugar or the sweetness of your drink. I opted for 50% sweetness. I have mixed reviews, came here about 3 times within the last month. Usually empty, couple tables and chairs do inside seating. A lot of variety on the menu. The drinks are good, but it suck you can't adjust the ice amount. They fill up the cup a little over half and pour two scoops of ice. Their egg puff waffle is pretty good. Entering the store, I was quite surprised that Teapot has quite a tall food menu on top of their appetizers. A quick early dinner is in order. On top of our usual boba drinks (Tiger Milk Tea), the kids had Tonkotsu Ramen, Gyudon, and Garlic Noodles for me. Inside looks like your typical Taiwanese boba shop, colorful and eclectic. Not too long our food is served along with our drinks. All of our orders are properly savory. My Garlic Noodles truly is garlicy, just a hair too savory. My son's Ramen tasted good and I can't help helping myself with his soup. And my daughter's Gyudon is just as good. Every dish served checked out to be very strong. I actually did had any drinks, just my kids and wifey. With a very good first impression, I went ahead and ordered myself one to cap it off. Low and behold I saw a bended Mango and Avocado smoothie. What? Two of my faves in one drink I just had to have one. And it did not disappoint as well. I am reserving my 5th star, but Teapot is almost there. I've been to the other locations of this shop, and this one didn't disappoint. The quality was just as consistent as I expected. The braised pork rice was flavorful and comforting, and the ramen was fresh and satisfying. Of course, the milk tea was great too. Stopped in to try some boba and saw they had sesame balls. The teas were good but the boba pearls weren't as great. The agar boba in my panda milk tea were amazing. I order my husband a tiger milk tea 50% sweet and I ordered the panda milk tea 30% sweet. I felt like we could have gone even lower with the sweetness level. My only complaint was the boba texture was off. You do get a decent amount which was a plus. The sesame balls were amazing of course. We didn't try anything else because most of the menu had gluten but everything looked so good. Service was fast, we got everything in what seemed like 5 minutes. I like the tea here but cannot recommend the food yet. The place is in the strip mall where Bonchon is across the street from Sportsman's. The entrance is tiny and it's too dark that unless you actually open the door you'd think it's closed from outside. I even told the owners that they need to have a big open sign. This is different from other boba places in that they seemed to specialize more on their food than drinks. However I personally would recommend their drinks than their food. I didn't sample that many varieties of food except the popcorn chicken and the shrimp dumplings. I'm not sure whether they make the dumpings from scratch (unlikely) but it's not a bad choice when you are hungry even if it's heated "Costco dumplings." The popcorn chicken however is extremely salty and the breading is too much. read more

We had high hopes when we visited; great food reviews, and we came ready to enjoy a nice meal. We were a group of four and ordered a generous amount of food. To our surprise, we were only given one pair of chopsticks. When I politely asked the staff member (a lady at the counter) for three more pairs, her response was shockingly rude. In a harsh and impatient tone, she snapped, "I already gave you!" I calmly explained, "Yes, you gave one pair, but we have four people. Could you please give us a few more chopsticks or forks?" Without a word, she grabbed three more pairs and threw them onto the counter. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. Good food can only go so far when the customer service is this disrespectful. We dined in and the food arrived quickly. The server was nice and all the orders were correct. Our favorite was the Mapo Tofu rice bowl. My daughter loved the spam musubi and I could tell from her messy face that there was a good amount of sauce in the dish. The tea drinks are fantastic! The garlic edamame and red bean waffle puff wonderful too! Highly recommend those three items. Everything else on their extensive food menu simply put was fairly blah and I cannot recommend. I've tried a few other options on different occasions and threw it away. That shared -- the tea drinks are quite delicious & highly recommended. The vibe of the place is really cute and this is a nice spot for a couple or small group of friends to have tea, eat edamame and puff waffles. The service is kind of hard to say... you order at a kiosk and they don't really speak to you namely because I don't think they speak much English more so than they mean to ignore or be less than welcoming to customers. Got the matcha with red bean (0% sweetness) and my friend got the matcha strawberry regular sweetness. Matcha color was off (almost brown tbh) and my friend's drink was way too sweet and I will say they did give her some milk to dilute it but they have a strong "no exchange or refund policy" & said she should have ordered the 0% sweet :( But also my 0% sweetness drink was too sweet too. Pretty tasty! My favorite item was the pork bun. My wife's favorite was the rice bowl. The store design inside is very simple and you order from Kiosk. Our food was made pretty fast.
