Have gone to Fuller for years. Always did a great job on more than one vehicle. I have no idea what poor reviews would be about.

I've been a loyal customer for a long time, but I won't be returning after my recent experience. The employee, Lou, was extremely rude and spoke to me in a completely unprofessional manner. The manager didn't handle it any better--he said he would email the owner and that I'd hear back, but no one ever followed up. They need to seriously talk to Lou about how he speaks to customers. I will not tolerate being treated with such disrespect. Very disappointing. read more

This was my first and last time going to Fuller's Auto Repair. First time they messed up my appointment and had me scheduled on the wrong day. I dropped off my low mileage 66,000 miles 2001 Jeep Cheokee Limited SUV for two simple automotive repair jobs. Remove the R134A refrigerant gas so I could remove a mouse nest in the heater blower motor and a simple toe front end alignment. They removed the R134A refrigerant gas and called me at the end of the day and told me to bring it back another day for the simple toe front end alignment. I was the third customer in line that day and had to ride my bike cycle back home. The manager was very rude and told me this is not the automotive repair shop for me. I agreed with him, because they cannot perform simple auto repairs in an 8 hour day. The shop owner told me to never return and he was very rude. AWFUL EXPERIENCE - Had a poor customer experience there recently, so I called and spoke to service manager Rob Fleck to clarify what exactly happened and share my poor experience. I strive to be polite and respectful with anyone in a service industry, and I was very courteous to the service manager the whole the entire call. I prefaced the call by saying "Looking to get clarification on the disconnect we had last Friday on the the vehicle I dropped off for a pre-inspection." "Can I share what my perspective was and then then I can hear your side" He said sure so I went ahead and politely and calmly expressed my perception of what had happened but he kept on cutting me off and thus not letting me fully voice my questions. It went from a calm place, and it seemed like I said something to trigger him because he took it to 10 real quick. I think me asking him to "can you stop interrupting me and let me finish my explanation and that I would listen to his after" did it. He acted like a 8th grader in an argument,. No reasoning involved. Just talking over me like a bully. Next, he started questioning me in a VERY short, agitated and unprofessional manner. When I would start to answer his questions he kept cutting me off over and over and over, so I just kept silent. He then said " oh you quiet now?" I responded for the 4th time, saying "you keep cutting me off", and again he cut me off when I was saying that. At that point, I told him "I think we can stop here as we are not getting anywhere" , to which he replied "GREAT!" and hung up. I'm laughing to myself right now thinking how this guy was super mad, and I was the calm one with the bad experience lol. Certain people are just better at working on cars then dealing with customers. This guy was tapped and am shocked they let this guy talk to customers. Just avoid this place. I tried to to sort it out, but this is why I normally try to avoid "talking to the manager" I think I will avoid giving direct feedback to businesses and stick to Google reviews I hope it helps somebody from being treated the way I was by their service manger. There are other shops who I'm sure would be a lot more courteous this guy was. Don't risk potentially dealing with this guy by going somewhere else. Rob the desk manager for inspection is very rude with an attitude actually called me a smart ass for asking a question,they rejected my sticker ,when I asked to speak to a supervisor of rob he said he would take my number and give it to him cause the supervisor wasn't in ( don't seem like it's going to go to the supervisor) well in the end they lost yet another customer I will never return to them again. read more

I dropped my car off on Fuller's property but at the insurance area for them to take a look at my car. The process was quick and painless. They offered a rental car at no charge but I didn't need it. My car immediately went over to the auto body building to get fixed (my car had been backed into while parked and needed some driver side work). My car was estimated to be there for around a week as they had to order parts. It had been there for about 3 days and I was told I could pick it up! When I went to pick up my car, a Fuller himself took me to my car to show me the work they had done and to make sure I was fully satisfied. On top of great work, they cleaned, vacuumed and detailed my car. Very impressed! I'm hoping I won't have to be back with anymore accidents but if I do, I'll be going to Fuller's. read more

I'm impressed. When I sliced my tire on a nasty pothole, I found replacements at a dealer who couldn't install them for me. I called Fuller, made an appointment, letting them know that I'd drop off the car (it has run-flats) and deliver the tires when they arrived, after 1pm. They got the tires much later (2:30), yet had them installed well before closing time. When I picked up the car I was astonished to find that rather than simply install the tires, they also completely cleaned both from rims, which were coated with brake dust when I'd dropped off the car. Juxtapose that with my experience at another shop, which after replacing the rear pair of tires, returned the car to me with handprints in the brake dust of both wheels. Unlike Fuller, who completely cleaned every bit of grime from my wheels, this other shop never even gave them a quick wipe with a rag! read more

You get what you pay for. The costs at Fulller are more than a neighborhood grease monkey, but how about you have something repaired and you don't need to return it several times before they get it right. They use good parts and they will give you estimates up front. Then, after evaluating your vehicle, they call you with a more exact price. And they offer options with certain parts to keep the price reasonable. They have a loyalty card/punch card. So after you get so much service, you get $50 off your next repair bill. If you have any concerns, you actually get a Fuller to talk to. And the problem will be resolved. read more

My son's car was having issues but non-specific. A weird sound, a rumbling, etc. Must be nothing worse for a mechanic then to be presented with a car that we "think" has something wrong. Well, the Fuller folks asked the right questions, found the problem, called me with costs to fix it and then made the repair. My circumstances are exactly the kind other shops would have exploited to make unneeded repairs and charge a ton of money. Fuller people are honest and were as concerned about my son's safety as much as I was. We won't go anywhere else. read more

Not a pleasant experience! Brought in a 2014 Hyundai Tucson AWD for knocking noise from drivers side and grinding sound from passengers side. Upon inspection garage noticed axle nut had lost its cotter pin and nut backed off damaging wheel bearing. The same wheel bearing that had been replaced 12 months ago or 30,000 miles ago, along with new rotors and ceramic pads. Garage decided car needed wheel bearing on passenger side $156 for bearing. They also replaced front brakes, rotors, and calipers $755 for parts & everything else was for labor! OUCH! Total charges $1300.00 Sad part is car is still making popping sound from drivers side and TPMS sensor is now on. Should of used the dealer. read more

My car was making a squeak and a bad smell. Brought it to Fuller on Auburn St. twice. The first time they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it, and specifically mentioned the brake pads and shoes looked fine. The problem got worse, so I brought it back a month later. They said I needed new brake pads. I'm no mechanic, but for the pads to go from fine to needing replacement in a few weeks seems preposterous. I barely drive my car (under 10k miles a year). Scam. The replaced pads did nothing for the squeak and smell, by the way. Glad they took my $400 anyway. I brought my car someplace else and it was fixed immediately. Went to the Fuller on Route 20 for an inspection sticker and they failed me for two lights out, which was acceptable, and for unsafe front license plate. What? My plates are fine. Not dirty, never been in an accident, etc. The guy said the cops have been pressuring them to fail people for this. What the fuck? I would have passed anywhere else. I'm new to central Massachusetts so when I got into an accident, I had no idea what body shop to bring my car. My insurance company is Liberty Mutual and their nearest authorized shop was Fuller Auto Body. In doing online research I seemed to have two options: Fuller or nearby Honda dealership's (Lundgren) shop. The Honda shop (which seemed to be a safe bet) got terrible ratings online so I gave Fuller a shot. I must tell you that my car, that got badly rear-ended, looks like new again. WOW - Fuller did an amazing job! Each interaction with them- in person and on the phone- was exceptional. They are very professional and really care about the customer and the work. My only negative was that they didn't update me in the 1st week on the car's status but they politely acknowledged that they should have called. They then kept me completely up to date after that. I was really worried as my rear door was crunched in and the exhaust system was pushed forward - leaking exhaust and twisted. The spare tire well in the back was completely crumpled. Now it looks like it came from the Honda factory new. I'm very particular and I can't see any shortcuts here. The car was ready for me in about 2 weeks time and it was washed and clean inside. They have an Enterprise car rental to make things super easy for you while it's being worked on. I give Fuller an "A". read more

I've been bringing my cars here for 15 years now, for oil changes and inspections. What I like most about them is they are thorough with the little things -- topping the fluids, vacuuming the seats out. They make recommendations but its not a sales pressure environment, which I find a lot of oil shops nearby can be. I recommend it, $31 for my last oil change. read more

I haven't had any serious services done at Fuller, but the two times I have gotten my inspection sticker, they were great. This past week I went in and needed 2 front tires to pass inspection.(I knew this going in) I asked if they could match the two I got about 5 months ago at Town Faire Tire(HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE) and they said they could, but it would take an hour to get them from their warehouse. I had no problem with this. While waiting for the tires, I got an oil change and a quick lookover. They were honest, didn't try to upsell me or tell me that I needed other things done. Even on a busy day, they were kind, attentive, and VERY well organized. I'll be going there for everything from now on. read more

Getting a flat tire on your way out of state is never an ideal way to kick off a road trip. However Fuller Automotive & Tire Center went above & beyond to save the day. They quickly jacked up our car & put on the donut we had in the trunk. They advised us on what we needed to do to be able to get through the road trip without causing damage to the car & started calling around in making inquiries about where we would be able to get a tire that would work for our 4-wheel drive. I went there a few weeks ago, for the first time. They are better than most I have gone to. He called me during the day, to update on the repairs. They were straight up with me about everything. The car wash they did give, sucked. That is the only negative, but the car wash was free. I will go back, better than my last mechanic. The repairs and the costs are about average. read more

Hopefully I'll save a few people time & aggravation... My vehicle was involved in an accident and Fuller Auto was the designated tow company for the town. The damage to my vehicle was on the drivers front quarter. It also had scratches down the entire side from the impact of glass particles. I went to Fuller's with the intention of bringing my vehicle elsewhere. When I looked at the vehicle I noticed a dent on the passenger side door. I asked what happened and how a dent got on the passenger side. His reply was "It was there already". I'm like... No way! Really! I know my vehicles inside and out. This was a new car with only 8k on it. So, despite my intention to have it fixed elsewhere, I had them do it knowing I already had to fight with them over damage they did. The owner finally said that he would be gracious enough to fix the dent on the passenger side if I let them do all of the repairs. BTW, they are on my insurance company's "preferred list". Now, let's talk about the repair & time... Their first attempt to deliver my vehicle to me ended up not going well. The color match was horrible. Grey on the front door & silver on the back (it's supposed to be silver). 2nd try, color finally matched. Took it for a test drive and heard rattling in the front end. I also noticed where the panels met (front fender/door) there where still chips from the exploding glass. I asked if they are going to fix it. Their reply was "we would have to take the entire thing apart again". So, apparently it was good enough for them but not for me. 3rd time. I take it for a test drive. No noise from the front. I get out to do another once over and now find this nasty looking black undercoating on lower part of my vehicle. I asked what the deal was??? "Oh, we put undercoating on all of the vehicles we fix". I told them to take the crap off and make it the way it came from the factory. 4th and last time... Undercoating was gone and the factory finish was there. They had my vehicle for approximately a month and a half. Never again would I go there for any auto body work. I ended up trading the vehicle in 3 days later after the paint smell had worn off so the dealer wouldn't know it was hit. Save yourself aggravation and go anywhere but Fuller... read more

I recently took my Acura here to get some body work done quickly. Mike was able to take our car in right away and got the car back to us the next day. It looked brand new. Josh Fuller was extremely nice to me when I picked up the car and they cleaned the car inside and out (I have two kids and it looked like a disaster when it was dropped off). Note: I did not have an auto repair done here I was interested in a used car they had for sale. Im giving them 5 stars simply because this was one of the better car shopping experiences I have had. Normally you think car sales = pressure. I am in no hurry to buy and am able to shop a little bit and find the car that feels right. They had a Toyota Solara on the lot, nice car. I called and set up a visit. No pressure, Mark answered my questions and let me take it for a ride with my son Mark stayed behind. We go into sit down he tells me what he will give me for my care as a trade, the taxes title every thing. I told him I want to test it again then make a decision, he said no problem. Week later go with my wife we try it, talk with him briefly and I tell him I will email him in a few days with an answer. Now here is where most car salesman try and close, Mark didnt do that he told me "you decide if its right for you, if it is great lets make a deal, if it isnt then it wasnt meant to be" The car wasnt right for me, rear window was way to small (it was a convert). The car was priced at market and the trade in he offerred me on my car was fair. If I saw another car on their lot I was interested in I would have no problem going back to Fuller. I was heading up to Boston on I90 when my transmission started to quit. I pulled off to a rest area and looked at Yelp for anywhere nearby with decent reviews. I limped into Fuller's parking lot at about closing time on Friday evening and Jordan, I believe a service manager, was just awesome. My car wasn't going to be fully diagnosed until Monday, but he ran an engine code scan, set me up with a rental car from next door (they give Fuller customers a discount) and got me on my way (to an event in Boston that evening). Jordan followed up with me early Monday morning to give me the news and clearly explained all the options. Over the next few days, we worked out a plan and he was extremely accommodating (I live in the NYC area, so getting to Auburn (without a vehicle) was a nearly ridiculous prospect) with the timing of picking up the vehicle. Long story longer, Jordan and the Fuller team were very honest, straight-forward, fair and accommodating and I highly recommend them for anyone in the area. read more

I always come here for service and oil changes and inspections. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I have never felt like they are trying to sell you something you don't need. Many times I've heard them tell a customer that something like an air filter should be replaced but they could wait until next time. One time I told them to change my wipers and they came back and said I didn't need new ones at this time. How often would that happen anywhere else. read more

After dealing with nothing but aggravation with my insurance company, I was recommended to fuller auto body for the repair of my bumper. They were wonderful! When I brought my car in for an appraisal they actually ended up offering to keep my car and fix it that week. I had a rental and was on my way in a matter of 15 min. They took over dealing with the insurance and with in four days I had my car back in perfect condition! You can not even tell the bumper was replaced! They even cleaned the inside off it! They were incredibly polite, professional, and quick! I will recommend them to every one! Plus they are close to 290 and the pike so it's easily accessible! read more
