I want to give a positive review bc I've had many positive experience at the Chandler/Mesa office with Nohe and staff however this week when I received my confirmation of appointment it was with a different doctor.. I reached out to the office and inquired and they stated Nohe was no longer see patients at the Mesa location. I inquired about possible appointments at the other locations as I was willing to go out of my way to see Nohe. They offered me one available time at a location that was significantly further, when I inquired about why no one contacted me about the change they said it was strange that they did not. However due to a history of melanoma and other skin cancer and a busy work schedule I decided to keep my appointment and try the other doctor. I believe her name was Katie, was not nearly as thorough as Nohe. She made no mention of my history with melanoma, and didn't ask if I had any concerns I wanted her to look at. She said everything looked good and sent me on my way. Now I'm not feeling super confident in how my appointment went.. I did have a few spots I would have liked looked at as well as the opportunity to talk about dermatitis that comes and goes. I went ahead and made my next appointment with Nohe (who apparently still sees patients at the office I went to????) if you're going to see anyone here make sure it's Nohe. He's been great, so attentive to my care, caring toward the fact that I have a family history of other cancers and the fact that I had melanoma so young. He always listens to my concerns and makes me feel validated in my questions. Chandler office is much nicer and newer also! read more

Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. "Your call is very important to us..." I feel like that's a lie. I get transferred to another line to leave a voicemail and the phone hangs up. I'm cancelling my daughter's appointment, we won't be there on 7/30/26. I also sent a text, hope to my got it. Maybe if they had more staff focused on treating medical patients, rather than cosmetic patients, you'd have enough staff to answer the phone.?.? A to Z Dermatology - Dermatologists Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

First off, I would give them zero Stars if it were possible. I showed up to my appointment today, for the receptionist to tell me that my appointment had been canceled. Upon asking why, she said the file stated that I was "unhappy with" the check-in process. She explained that forms need to be filled out either through the portal, or they send a link to your cell phone. When I made the appointment, I told them that I do not do portals and I do not have a personal cell phone. They could have told me at that time those were the only two options for filling out the forms and declined to make the appointment. They set me up for failure. It was a 15 mile trip to the office. They don't have iPads or anything in the office to fill out the required paperwork. Even my neurosurgeon's office has the iPads. First of all, I don't do portals. Second of all, I don't have a personal cell phone. The office manager sent me a copy of their notice of privacy practices a week ago after I had made the appointment. The receptionist was extremely rude, even after I told her I don't have a personal cell phone she asked me what time I wanted to reschedule for next monday. I had to remind her that I don't have access to a calendar because I don't have a personal cell phone. That went right over her head, demonstrated by the blank look on her face. I reminded her that even if I rescheduled, we would run into the same problem. She said 'oh' as if that thought never dawned on her. This office is the worst possible place to get services from. I was basically punished for not using portals or having a personal cell phone. That is ridiculous. read more

The office staff is especially helpful and kind; the nurse practitioner is Katie Marco saw me on 4/14/26. I felt she was competent and did a thorough job; however, once I received my billing statement, I noticed I had been charged for a procedure that I did not receive: treating a lesion on my left chest. They billed my insurance, and insurance paid. I verified with my insurance company that the money paid was indeed for a procedure. Sure enough, they billed my insurance for a procedure that I did not have. Once I contacted the office about the mistake in the charge, they questioned that I was telling the truth and said they would have to verify with the provider. I asked how she would remember since it had been over a month since she had seen me and had seen many patients since then. No response. I messaged with them multiple times. They kept telling me that they would need to check with the provider. I gave them over a week before I contacted them again, and now, they are no longer responding to my messages. They owe me $130.00. If you choose to use them, be cautious of their billing and make sure you get paperwork BEFORE leaving the office to make sure you're not being charged for treatment you did not receive. read more

Definitely would not recommend this clinic to anybody. Poor customer service poor behavior. Took my kid over at this facility was recommended from us at Banner children's. So I took my kid to get looked at at this facility. The tech comes in does vitals doesn't say much to us. Dr comes in gives us the same education that we received from Banner children's and directed us back to Banner children's. I asked why? They said they don't handle kids. I told her that Banner children told us this was the place to go to handle the care that my kid needed. She stated again that she does not work on kids or has ever handled kids before. I asked her why was it recommended in the first place obviously it was a referral and recommendation. She just reinstated of what she said last. So I just thought to myself this was a common mistake on one of the ends. So I politely asked for my deposit back. The doctor said I gave you recommendation (back to Banner children's) and I gave you the information and educated you. I asked her I don't understand why you would set me in the first place. Could've just denied me at the very beginning that this clinic does not work on kids. If you know that you would not take kids. She shrugged and walked out of the room. Afterwards, I was pretty frustrated with my situation that they took my deposit without further care or good customer service on my money back or what to do in this situation. I told the Tech that I was gonna write this on Yelp for it to be a warning to others. The tech went on to reply Well, it's only ONE review. I ask each one of you to take your business somewhere else. If you can look at the reviews that everybody else posted is not recommended at this clinic. Obviously they're not there to help out your loved ones. Hopefully this ONE review makes a warning at this clinic. Overall, it just felt like a set up to me. Why is it recommended if Banner children's knew that they weren't going to operate on my child here. read more

No respect for patients time or money. I had a 10:30 appointment. They told me I had a balance due which I explained I already had a payment plan set up through their Phreesia payment portal. The front desk made me wait for an hour in the waiting room and called everybody else to be seen that came after me. Said they needed to speak with the office manager and billing department. My appointment was for a suture removal from a surgery two weeks prior. Terrible experience and now I have to waste more of my time to come back a different day to have my stitches removed because I wasn't going to wait any longer than an hour while everybody else got called back. Tried to blame it on only having one MA but they called 5 patients back before me. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unorganized. Mind you there was no copay or payment due for the suture removal appointment itself so the billing error on their end was irrelevant to todays appointment anyways and I should have received my post op follow up appointment regardless. I'm hoping I can book my next surgery with a completely different office. read more

I only rate this horrible business 1star because there's no option to rate 0 stars. I went to the office in Chandler because I had 2 small spots on my lower left leg and was told I had squamous cell cancer. I wanted to just have Moh's surgery to have it cut out but OH NO they said the surgery would not get all the cancer out so radiation would be the best way to treat it so I went with their advice. Which happened to be the most expensive treatment. I had to pay over $200.00 to get the radiation treatment started and then pay $46.00 every time I went which was 4 times a week for months. I kept every receipt every time I went and I also asked for a receipt for the total amount of money that I had spent on my last day of radiation. I am so glad I did because what a surprise when I got a bill later for over $400.00. I called and told them I had all my receipts for everything and I didn't owe them anything! Wow the woman in the billing department got really mean with me about it. I got a few bills from them for that amount and they were threatening me constantly that they were going to a collection agency and they would ruin my credit. Then all of a sudden the bills stopped coming so I figured they could tell their threats weren't working. This happened well over a year ago and I am still in HORRIBLE pain because they burned my leg terribly and I've been seeing a wound doctor now for many months. The wound doctor referred me to a plastic surgeon to get a skin graft done. I did that and the surgeon put mesh on my leg instead of the skin graft and that didn't help my leg at all. I'm still paying for that surgery and I'm still in HORRIBLE pain. Now A to Z dermatology has cost me THOUSANDS Of DOLLARS and I'm still not healed. I was going to the Mesa office for my radiation treatments and the doctor there ( Doctor Gamoth ) would come breezing through there once a month for about 30 seconds and say my leg was doing fantastic, which is was NOT. I tried to tell a nurse practitioner that around my ankle was hurting really bad and she said " No it's not " and acted like I was lying about it. So the next time Dr Gamoth came breezing through I stopped her and told her, which really irritated her to have to actually stop and look at my leg. She also said that in no way should I be in pain. I ended up getting an ultrasound done from my podiatrist and sure enough the radiation had torn my Achilles. I can't get the tear in my Achilles taken care of until the 2 horrible wounds on my leg heal, which I will show pictures of. Now I have spent all the money to A to Z dermatology, the wound doctor for months now, all the bandaging products, the plastic surgeon whom I'm still paying. Now I'm going to the Skin Cancer Institute and paying them, trying to get my leg healed well enough so I can have Moh's surgery done, because after all the pain and money I've spent they didn't even remove my squamous cell cancer!Remember when you look at my pictures I only had 2 small spots on my leg when I first went to A to Z dermatology. Please learn from my experience, this place should not even be in business! read more

I have been cared for by A to Z Dermatology ever since moving to Arizona 5 years ago. Every experience has been positive. My latest visit was with Amber. She did a thorough examination and explained everything as she did my full-body scan. I will continue my dermatologic care going forward. A to Z Dermatology in Casa Grande, AZ was a Great Experience! Dr. Faraj was Awesome! He listened to my concerns and eased my mind professionally. He was able to do a biopsy during my 1st appointment. I felt NO PAIN during biopsy and NO PAIN during stitches. His assistant Irene was very polite and helpful. Plus, Kandice in the front office was able to check me in quickly. On Wednesday, March 6, I had an appt at A to Z Dermatology in Sun City, AZ, with Dr. Joyce Forest. All of their three gals were in the front office talking and laughing among themselves when I got there. They were all very friendly to me. No one was on the phone. Dr. Forest was also really nice. My issue is with their lack of good ol' fashion customer service when you call for any reason whatsoever! Any time you call their office you get a recording, not a person. You are told to press # and leave a message. Then you are to get a text message back and all correspondence will be thru text message, OR instead of a recording, after some time a person will answer the phone but it's a remote person. She takes your info and will have the office call you back, or so she says! I had two millia white bumps removed under my eyes. The next day, Thursday, I was getting dressed for a noon church event and realized I didn't get "after care" instructions. Can I put a foundation on these two areas? I called their office, and, of course, got their automatic voice that tells you to press #, and the office will text you back. So, I pressed #. But no one texted me back. I called again and this time I stayed on the phone until their remote person answered. She told me that she'll have the office call me right back with the answer. No one texted or called me from the office that morning, so I didn't put makeup on over the two incision areas. No one called or texted me during the event. I decided to stop at the A to Z Dermatology office before heading home. It was almost like my first day there, except that their receptionist Mallori was helping a patient at the window while the other two were talking between themselves. They didn't react when I told them I texted, as well as left a message earlier that morningwith the remote gal to have a quick, simple question answered. Blanca told me I can wear makeup. I shared with them that I like how friendly their office staff is, but I'm very dissappointment they don't answer calls, nor get back to patients right away when they have to leave a message via text or through their remote gal. Surprisingly, they shared that they do not like their system either. Then on Sunday, March 10, yes, on Sunday, March 10, I get a text saying I can wear my foundation for the event on March 7. I like the gals who work here, as well as the doctor. However, I won't be back for any issues. They should think again whether this automatic phone system is helping or hendering their practice in this small office. read more

This Mesa location is a nightmare. Run far, far away ASAP! You will suffer being a patient here. Not only do you have to wait forever for an appointment for a serious infection, they're incredibly rude and condescending. They do not listen and go so far as to not believe your symptoms or treat you. So you end up having to wait another month or more to get in to see a different doctor. All the while becoming sicker and sicker. I got a $12 prescription from a different doctor. Already feeling better after 24 hours of a very standard, classic medication. I honestly don't see how they're still in business. We treat animals better than this. read more

First off, the staff is great. My kids LOVE Nohe. One son will not see anyone else. Now the reason for 1 star. Some idiot decided that your copay isn't enough. They collect your copay, you see the medical staff. After that, you HAVE to pay the rest of the bill! So, why collect a copay upfront? Paid copay of $35, then the doctor visit after copay I had to pay an additional $90. Now to wait for insurance to pay than a lifetime to get the payment refunded. Overall, it is a great practice. Awesome staff. Just remembee to bring your CHECKBOOK because you will need it. read more

This practice is awesome! I saw Tracy Clifford at Alta Derm. 2 years ago and she was not there last year. I had such a bad experience last year at Alta, that I tracked Tracy down. I am so glad I did. The entire staff, at A to Z in Mesa, is friendly and helpful. I was taken into the room early. Tracy is thorough and thoughtful. She really puts you at ease and will answer any questions you may have. Her MA (Dawn?) was great as well. Both ladies made the visit enjoyable. read more

I have been receiving amazing care from Jonathan Alvaro PA at the Mesa office. I find him to be very competent, pleasant and takes plenty of time to go over the treatment plan and address any concerns that I have. She was professional and very kind throughout my first visit. She explained issues with much knowledge and explanations. We loved the office in Gold Canyon when my husband saw Suzanne O'Rourke, FNP. She is wonderful and she saved my husband. We were incorrectly charged $70 copay twice and talked to billing. They reimbursed two payments of $20 since we did not see a physician at either visit. After Suzanne left the practice my husband had a follow-up. He saw NP Kelley and was again incorrectly charged $70. BCBS was notified...they called A to Z and asked them to resubmit the bill with a $50 copay. They refused and instead added Dr. Gamoth's name in place of the NP. Just wrong and false. We found a new dermatologist...if we have to pay a $70 copay then we insist on being treated by a physician. I gave 2 stars because of the superb treatment by Suzanne. I am sure she is very missed! read more

I've called repeatedly, I've left TWO voice mails now with no call back? I had to call my doctor to say uh guess I need a new referral? She was so confused and upset. Ya'll need to get it together. My husband went here for a basal cell carcinoma. What he has been left with is a 1/2 inch scar because they took out stitches too soon. Non-responsive to my repeated inquiries to their in-house billing specialist about a statement. Turns out they had outdated insurance info and rather than reaching out to get it updated, they just sent me an inflated bill. This took at least five phone calls and a month to resolve when they should have updated their records while I was in the office in the first place. I'll be going elsewhere in the future. read more

None of the physicians here are dermatologists. Board-certified dermatologists graduate from medical school at the top of their class, complete a 4 year intensive residency in dermatology, and then pass the national applied dermatology exam to become a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Gamoth and Dr. Forest are family medicine physicians (family medicine is the easiest medical specialty to get into) who decided to call themselves dermatologists without any of the proper training. It is irresponsible, dishonest, and an insult to all the board-certified dermatologists who complete the proper training to take care of patients to practice dermatology in this fashion. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. This is very unsafe and dishonest patient care. read more

This rating is for the billing department the girl "Layna" or whatever her name is. We've had or been patients of AtoZDerm. They were referred to us by my son's pediatrician. I canceled my first appointment because he no longer needed to be seen at that moment, but there was another follow up appointment just in case he would need to be seen. I missed that appointment and was being charged for a no show fee $50, which I understand but was not aware of that fee, since we've never been there nor signed an agreement with them. I had been trying to reach the billing department for quite several weeks to try to fix this, left voicemails and no answer or call back from them. So desperately to fix this (since the fee was increasing every month), I decided to call another extension and ask them to please transfer me to billing department, they did and I was able to talk to this girl which calmly told me she would adjust it and will verify my phone number, then the call gets disconnected and there I was clueless about what just happened, since she didn't end the conversation with me, I thought she would call me back but she did not. I decided to call again the next day but again, no one answered. Then dialed another extension asked to please be transferred they did I was able to talk to her again. Here I am really hoping it was fixed as she mentioned she did, but with this experience, I will not want to go there in the future. read more

Nurse practitioner Helen took her time , asked questions. Never seemed rushed . Explained everything to me. 4 years ago I went to Dermatology Solutions down the road. I tried to go back ... they told me I was considered a new patient and they weren't taking new patients until 2024!! They don't answer the phone, and when you leave a message, they don't return phone calls. Treatment by medical staff is mediocre at best.

I only give them a 1 because 0 is not an option. These people performed radiation on My sister's squamous cell skin cancer on her shin because they told her cutting it out would not get it all. She went through all the radiation treatments and these idiots burned her leg so badly she had to get skin grafting done. They have harmed her so badly. Her wound was just horrible to look at...you can hardly look at it without being sick. She has had to go to a wound care specialist and pain clinic. She has been suffering for almost a year. She had skin from her hip removed for the skin graft. And after all this, the surgeon says they did not even get all the cancer! These people should be OUT OF BUSINESS. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE ABOMINABLE. These are supposed to be doctors that do no harm. They need to be out of business. She wanted to get this cut out, but they made her feel she was an idiot for preferring to get it cut out, so she relented and let them do the radiation. Oh. My. God. If I could rate Dr. Forest alone, and if I could give her zero stars, I would. I've never been one to go out of my way and leave a review but Dr. Forest was by far the worst provider I've ever seen. She shut me down, made me feel stupid, and failed to do her one job as a provider and educate me on my condition. I left feeling very defeated and even in tears, and after seeking out alternative care, I can not believe how she treated me as a patient. read more
