I brought in my Honda Civic for a full diagnostic, and it turned out I needed a CV Axle Assembly replacement. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. Danny took care of me and truly went above and beyond. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly, and even took the time to show me underneath the car exactly what was wrong so I could understand it for myself. That level of transparency and patience is rare and very appreciated. I also spoke with Richard, who was incredibly helpful in walking me through my options and helping me think through next steps for the car long-term. At no point did I feel pressured. My brother just got a job at another automotive repair place and... as much as I love my brother, I get treated better and charged more fairly at A Town. These guys are not good if you don't really know stuff. They try to cheat you and there are overpriced. Just for oil change, right arm axle, muffler gas kit change, and diagnosis test which cost me 630$. I was like fine and I payed the whole amount. When I came out of the shop my steering is not straight and car tires are slipping. So I went back next day because when I came out and went back they're closed and asked he said I need to do wheel balancing. I'm like then what did you do? He said he will charge me extra $80 for that. Which is a scam because when you changed axle for the tire you should fix that too. I came for a oil change and he said these are things which are IMPORTANT and need to changed. I was like okay. I gave a good running car and he took money and gave me a broken car which now has axle problem. Not going back and paying 80$ for wheel alignment. These guys are SCAM, just be safe. I just saw the 5 star reviews and believed which I don't feel are true or they just did change oil change and nothing other and gave 5 star. read more

I often use yelp to find businesses but rarely review myself. That being said, A Town Automotive is getting a review because of their awesomeness. Another poster said that they don't trust mechanics. We've all heard horror stories. A Town proves that there can be trustworthy people in this industry. They are fairly priced. They take the time to explain what needs to be repaired and why. They even take the time to explain what doesn't need to be repaired, and why. They provide the service in a timely manner. I have always gotten my car back when they said I would. They are genuinely nice humans. They remember conversations we've had in the past and what my husband is working on. That's a lot of customer service for an auto repair shop. A Town Automotive is an excellent little place just on Roswell Rd and close to GA400 and the Northridge Rd exit. It is a business run by two brothers, Danny and Rich and they do a great job. I especially loved it when I lived only a mile away, but after moving recently I won't be thinking twice about going out of the way to be going back there when it is my choice. After all the years of owning vehicles, I simply came to my own resolution that I cannot trust a mechanic until I have had many good experiences with their work. Danny and Richard run the best shop I have ever experienced. These are the only guys I trust to touch my car, aside from myself. I recently had an issue with my car that I could not figure out... I took it to Danny and upon first diagnosis he thought the transmission might be bad... Would have cost me $3500 to replace. But Danny called me two days later saying that he didn't think the transmission was the problem after all and that it may just be a bad ignition control module. He replaced it and my car works great! He could have charged me $3500 and put in a new transmission but he was honest and fixed my car for far less money. This is why I will only recommend his shop to everyone that I know. If you are a single female avoid this shop at all costs. I was charged over $300 to replace a part that did not need to be replaced and was quoted over $500 to replace the broken piece. After doing my due diligence I was able to get my car completely taken care of for under $200 elsewhere. There are much better shops in the area. Don't bother with this one. read more

Danny took care of me at A Town! My car wasn't starting and he found that my battery needed replacing and a battery connector. He suggested getting my transmission serviced but said he would make sure that the battery was for sure the reason my car wouldn't start before doing the transmission. He called me back a couple of hours later saying that in addition the starter needed replacing. He said I would be fine on the transmission for a while longer. So I skipped that service and replaced the rest! My car was ready to be picked up the same day. When I got there I didn't realize that Danny was headed out to lunch but he got out of his car to check me out and walk me through what they had done. This is what made my experience extraordinary. Hate to give these guys a bad review because the owners are so nice. I took my car here for many years and the prices were always much lower than the dealer. However, I noticed last year their prices were closer to the dealer prices. I had a problem with my car recently and took it to A-Town and their price was outrageous. Took my car back and found an excellent mechanic on Buford Highway who did the work for half the cost. Also he didn't recommend the additional work that A-town suggested. These guys are great to work with and are straight forward. I had a relatively bad day as I was going from shop to shop looking to install a bolt on axle-back muffler. At one shop I got into a pretty nasty confrontation just by asking if they could do the work. A Town picked up the phone and kept saying yes.
