I remember my girlfriend mentioning the opening of this establishment down the road from Paso, and I finally had the opportunity to reserve an hour on a Saturday to take her son axe throwing. Our reservations were at 7:45 PM, and we arrived the recommended 20 minutes early. We had filled out all the required paperwork and waivers online, so there was nothing else needed upon arrival. The venue was conveniently located right off El Camino Real. There was indoor and outdoor seating with big roll-up windows, a full-service bar, QR codes for local restaurants that would deliver, and a rustic/western type motif with good classic music and colorful flashing lights. There were seven lanes available, and just three were occupied when we arrived. The two guys behind the bar were very helpful in getting us set up on lane six, showing us how to work the electronic scoring system and explaining the different games we could play while throwing. After a quick introduction, we were shown how to throw the axes, and the fun began. It took a few throws to get acclimated, but it wasn't difficult. We both had a great time throwing. About 30 minutes in, we were given a knife to throw, which was a bit more of a challenge. I could never get the pointed end to stick, but it was a fun experience nonetheless. Overall, it was a fantastic night out. We didn't order food or drinks but would love to return for another hour session. Thanks for a great night! read more

Great place to keep yourself entertained. Brought our son here and we did axe throwing and it was so fun. Also did nerf gun targets and basketball throwing. Also has foosball and other games which we did not get to due to time constraints. Will be back here again. read more

My son asked for an axe throwing party for his 16th birthday so we gathered friends, booked a couple of lanes and had the most fun. He even got to chop a tiny piñata to celebrate his special day. This place is amazing...there are several different games to play while throwing axes or knives, plus other fun stuff like the pinball machine and basketball shooting. They have a nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages, bottled beer and local hard seltzer on tap. The decor is really fun to look at and the staff is super friendly and helpful (especially if you're like me and have trouble mastering the throwing technique.) We had the absolute best time at A-Town! Highly recommended. We got there a little late bc we couldn't figure out Google maps but they were completely relaxed about it. And after a quick tutorial, we were off. First, the electronic game projections are awesome. I've been to multiple axe throwing facilities but this one had the most to offer by far. Can you say Double Date? This place is very fun for a double date. Went last night with friends before dinner. It was our friends first time but that was not an issue. Our coach was great, came in to give us some pointers when we needed it and let us be when we we didn't need it. They have beer and snacks. My wife and I tried a purple drink, it was refreshing. Our friends enjoyed the mango beer. Oh, they now have throwing knives, that is my weapon of choice. The games were really fun, tic tack toe and the "candy crush" type games were our favorite. read more

Came on a group trip of 8 from San Francisco and was immediately met with nice staff members. We parked in the garage and I was able to talk to someone on the phone who guided me to the shop... it was across the street lol. The place was super clean, and had other games that you can play outside or the axe throwing. On the plus side also, the place was indoor/outdoor so the air flow was great! Well, I went to A-Town Chop Shop again and it was once again a fantastic experience. My husband and I took our 14 year old granddaughter and we all had a great time. She had some trouble with her throw and the owner, Matt, came over to help her whenever we asked. In fact, she always threw great when he was around!!!
