SpringHill Suites by Marriott Paso Robles Atascadero In my experience, SpringHill Suites properties are typically modern, well-designed, and tastefully furnished without feeling overly pretentious. They usually offer free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, and breakfast, making them an excellent value for families on a road trip. They're often my go-to choice when traveling. This location, however, is a notch or two above the typical SpringHill Suites. The property is beautifully decorated with a wine country theme that fits the region perfectly. It features a very nice on-site restaurant, a cozy and charming winery-inspired patio, a pool, and conference facilities. The guest rooms also have one of the most unique layouts I've seen, with the toilet and shower in separate rooms, making it much more convenient for families getting ready at the same time. The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, capturing the feel of California wine country without being overly lavish or expensive. I'd happily return for a staycation. Within about a 30-minute drive, you'll find plenty to do, including nearby beaches, downtown Atascadero with its beautifully restored City Hall and local restaurants, zip-lining adventures, and the stunning light displays at Sensorio in Paso Robles. It's a great home base for exploring the Central Coast with the family. While everything is clean and well maintained, there are a few minor signs of wear here and there. Nothing significant--just the kind of small maintenance items you'd expect from a well-used hotel. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. It offers an excellent balance of comfort, value, and amenities, and I'd gladly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing getaway or a comfortable stop while traveling along the Central Coast. read more

Th staff at this Springhill Suites was amazing. Super friendly and welcoming each time I arrived and departed. They had a great breakfast and a nice bar area for catching a few drinks in the evening, if you desired or didn't drink enough during the day! I sure did! It does have an odd parking lot but also has a ton of EV Charging spots too. Gotta love California for that. There's a Starbucks that's about a 5-10 minute walk if you're not fond of too many days of hotel coffee in a row. I could only take so much! The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not good. Flat like drinking MD 20/20 after a glass of Austin Hope Reserve Cabernet! I'd give it five stars if the pillows were remotely good. They were THAT bad to bring it down a star. This location had easy access to the highway and a was good home base for touring various wineries, breweries, and drinkeries in the area. read more

requested the hotel staff to have our room freshened up...and each day when I returned to the room it was not done. I understand missing it once...but every day?!? And each day I asked again, it once again wasn't freshened. I had to request new towels, etc. each day because housekeeping couldn't be bothered. Checked in to Springhill for a single night after booking a couple of days prior through Expedia. I had selected a room with a king bed, non ADA compliant when booking. At check in nothing was said to me about a change in the room but we walked into an ADA compliant room with two queen beds. I called the front desk to see if we could switch rooms and they said they were fully booked and due to unforeseen last minute changes and due to me booking through a third party site, they had to switch our room type. I said it would have been nice to know about the change prior to checking in and I was told that they wouldn't want to cancel my reservation and have us looking for a different hotel (well of course they don't want that... but I do?!?) The person I spoke with said he'd have his manager contact me to see if anything more could be done but I never heard anything from them again. Additionally frustrating was that a friend stayed the same night at Springhill; she booked the room a day after me and had wanted two queen beds but as that was unavailable, she booked a single king. She checked in around 10pm, three hours after we checked in, and was given a non ADA king room (which had apparently been unavailable for me three hours earlier?) The hotel has a heated pool and a decent breakfast spread. Everything was clean; the bed was not very comfortable but exactly what you'd expect from a hotel like Springhill. Parking is both free and easy. The rooms don't have safes which was a first for me. The hotel gym is good, has at least a couple ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, and free weights. Towels and water is available in the gym, though no wipes or disinfectant were around. Overall the hotel was average but disappointing in the room change and in the way it (wasn't) handled. read more

We checked in at about 1 in the morning and Linda, I believe, was her name, greeting us cheerfully, full of energy. She provided small, complimentary bottles of water. There are snacks available for purchase right next to the front desk and the larger bottles of water were $6 each. Bottles of water are also available in your room for $5 each. The hotel lobby is very spacious and chic. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to enjoy the view of the pool and garden right next to the lobby. There is also a bar in the lobby that opens at night. Our room was also spacious as it was a suite. The living room had a sectional couch and a desk, and it was adjoined with a small counter with a fridge and microwave, and shelves above it that came in handy to store our snacks. The actual bathroom was a separate room from the shower, which had a long counter and shelf storage underneath. We had a decent view of the beautiful hills, highway, and back parking lot. Free breakfast was included in our stay. Breakfast was a nice buffet with a good variety of cereal, starch (bread, bagels, waffles) and breakfast meat. My favorite was the biscuits and gravy as that isn't something available everywhere in Hawaii. There was a small fridge full of a good variety of yogurt, a juice station and a large coffee bar outside of the buffet room. There are plenty of tables to enjoy your breakfast and some even chose to enjoy their breakfast in the lobby area which was connected to the dining area. In the afternoons, they have individually packaged complimentary chocolate chip cookies at the front desk which made for a perfect pick-me-up, especially if returning from exploring the area. The only complaint I have is that we had the do not disturb sign on the door hanger and a housekeeper knocked on the door anyway to see if we'd like to have our room serviced. Why bother with the sign if they're still going to knock? Overall though, we had a really nice stay at this clean and modern Marriott brand hotel. It's convenient location right off the highway made it easy enough for us enjoy the sights. read more

Springhill Suites is a nice hotel located about 20 minutes north of San Luis Obispo. We often stay here when visiting SLO, because it is usually not fully booked, and a little bit less expensive than staying in town. Springhill suites has a decent lobby, has a lovely setting, although it is close to the highway, but very nice and very pretty. There hasn't been one time when I've seen it empty or not in use by guests + whole families. Just off the property, there are some beautiful and historic hiking trails. These are worth exploring. One of them is the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail. It's absolutely gorgeous! + You would never think you were behind the Home Depot in Atascadero. The rooms are all suites, and they are quite large. If you get a room with a king size bed, you also get a sofa bed and there is plenty of room for three or four people in the room. My room was stunning with gorgeous views, although the shower was a little weak in water flow and the cabinets in the bathroom really looked like they needed some attention. I also feel like the housekeeping staff is not thorough. (Maybe they're overworked or understaffed. I don't know.) Springhill suites has breakfast included, and it's not stellar, but it's not bad. They also have a restaurant, and we ate food twice while there. The food is overall good, but some of the dishes are just okay...it's great that it's on site and that adds value when you're tired and just want to eat and relax. There's a nice happy hour, with decent price reductions across the board on food and drink. Overall, I find Springhill suites in Atascadero to be a great value and a nice property. I will continue to stay here when when visiting SLO. read more

Was fairly disappointed in this location. We booked this spot for a wine tasting weekend with friends. And wanted to have access to a pool- photos of pool and yard looked fun and inviting in the photos. The hotel Desk staff was friendly when we checked in but that was our only interaction with any staff during our visit. The floors in the room were stained which made it feel dirty. The shower pressure extremely low. For the cost and proximity to our outings i would not book again. We didn't end up using the pool bc of the weather and the yard looked torn and run down. OK, my perspective is a bit different. My family stayed here the very first week they opened and we were told we were the first guests to stay in the room assigned us. It was great, it seemed so modern, so up to date. The only even slightly negative was the frosted glass sliding barn door for the bathroom. At night it lights up the entire room. But that's just us.... oh and there is no lock on it either, again no big deal. Since this first stay we stayed there twice more and it was great. Fast forward to this week's visit and I guess we won't be bothering to stay there again. Just for annoying starters, there is just no way to contact them directly, not only do you have to use the reservation center... Ok they all do this now, I'm over it. But they really need/want you to use their app. Again, OK, I'm over it and it can be useful BUT, everyday I received multiple texts and emails. The only one that was at all useful or helpful was the checkin via the app. Otherwise stop bothering me. Now we get to the actual property and the room. Which was clean but in sad shape. Let's start with the bathroom, the cheap thin plastic toilet seat was skewed, such an easy fix. The shower head was just awful and well past its useful life, with a fine spray of cold water squirting around the hot water and the settings didn't really work any more. (BTW I admit to stealing a few squares of the toilet paper to add to my box of sanding and paint supplies for the final sanding of a coffee table I'm refinishing. JK but you get the idea) Also, the facing on the wood surfaces needs refinishing, it's all worn scratched up. The TV was annoying, the remote unresponsive and the audio would rise and fall so you had to constantly adjust so it wasn't blaring or was hard to hear. The desk chair was trash, out right embarrassing. Does anyone in management ever look these rooms over? And the fire/smoke detector was just "hanging by thread" I assume it still functions as it should and is not a safety issue but jezzzzz it just makes management look like "they've checked out." The 'complimentary' breakfast was one of the least edible, with very few offerings and the coffee.... Yikes. To be fair I expect these to be just OK at best but this one was most lackluster ever. Just don't bother with it. The elevator areas desperately need new wall coverings. Oh, and the parking lot, unless you get one of the close by spaces, has an area that you have to walk over an uneven dirt divider, with a slop and stepping on irrigation hoses, etc. I remembered that from our first few stays there thinking that was clearly something they will address soon.... Nope! So bottom line : It was clean, but we'll stay somewhere else going forward. This makes me sad when you count on something and can't any longer. read more

Have never stayed at a spring hill suites property in the past. Wanted to try it, even though it was a little out of the way from Paso Robles. Upon check in, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and updated my room was for this price point. Today I had a little mishap. Hskpg missed service on my room; at 5p and after a couple calls to the front desk asking for my room to be made up asap were ignored, the manager, John, took care of the issue and my room was refreshed right away. The staff were nice; however, the room itself had a very noisy AC unit and could have been cleaner. We noticed dusty baseboards and hair in the shower and on the nightstand. The bathroom pocket door also needs a thorough wipe-down. Shower pressure is minimal, so folks with long hair should plan ahead if they need to wash it... The location is convenient to wineries, Cambria, San Simeon, and Hearst Castle, and the rate includes parking and a basic American breakfast buffet. The use of paper plates and plastic utensils is so wasteful, even though it may be a more cost-effective solution for the hotel. read more

This is such a beautiful hotel in North County - it is my mom's favorite place to stay when she comes to visit! What really makes this place is the overall ambiance and vibe of the indoor and outdoor lounge areas! In the back patio there is a grassy section with various seating including Adirondack chairs and a large fire pit with super comfy chairs! Outside you are surrounded by wine barrels, grape vines and flowers everywhere! You can grab a drink inside at the bar (which features local beers, wines and cocktails) and bring it outside with you to enjoy an evening by the fire. They have a nice outdoor pool with lots of lounge chairs, perfect to hang out on a hot summer day as well (no hot tub unfortunately). There is a complimentary full buffet breakfast every morning which has a great selection of breakfast options. The gym is also conveniently opened 24 hours. The rooms are well kept, and super nice and spacious. My mom always looks forward to staying here! read more

SpringHill offers a solid stay for good value just outside Paso Robles, so if you don't mind a 10-15 min drive from downtown, a good choice. Rooms are simple and comfortable. Parking is free. Staff helpful and super responsive. Also there's free breakfast that's pretty good - eggs, sausage patty, bagels/muffin, gravy, and yogurt (including chobani). Very loud, uneven sounds. The lighting in the room felt like it was all 30 watts. Maybe 40. Maybe. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We originally stayed at this hotel when they first opened! Unfortunately like most hotels, the upkeep is disappointing! On the positive side, the hotel provides a small lounge area, workspace, and a semi separate area for sleeping. The room also provides a fridge and microwave. The hotel also provides continental breakfast. Other amenities at hotel include: bar, pool, outdoor space and parking. On the negative side is the following: the shower had mold in it. How can you provide a room to guest with mold? The breakfast offering was sad and unhealthy. During the holidays it's indicated with families grabbing and waiting for more food. Lastly there is a train track behind the hotel: not sure if active. Last time I visit I thought the train was going through the hotel as super close. For the price point at $120 a night this place was decent. The lobby was clean with a spacious sitting area. Breakfast was free and served from 6:30 to 9. They had waffles, bread, oatmeal with good toppings (coconut, seeds, nuts, chocolate chips, and sugar), muffins, and some hot items. They had also coffee and water in the lobby. There was a fire pit outside and corn hole. The room was on the bigger side and had a sofa. I liked that the bathroom and shower were separate. The tv was in an odd place but glad that it was able to turn. read more

I was looking for a place to stay while we were touring Paso Robles, taking in all the wonderful wineries and tasting their tasty wines, and I settled on this place based on the reviews. First off, the hotel is pretty quiet unless someone's kids start screaming in the hallway outside your room (hint to parents: inside voices in hallways please). Otherwise, you couldn't even hear the train go by. Breakfast buffet is nice - you have a breakfast meat (turkey sausage, bacon) eggs, muffins, English muffins, bagels, a machine with 3 juices or water, and on the opposite side, 3 waffle makers. There is also bread for toast, a toaster, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit. It was fairly well-stocked. Paper plates and plastic ware is available at the entrance. Grab what you want, sit down and eat. It's a hearty breakfast. The room was comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well, and the bathroom was nice and updated. Again, a quiet hotel with good walls so unless someone's out of control kid is screaming their head off in the hallway, you're good. read more

Springhill Suites is a bit isolated as in there is little to walk to but it is centrally located for Paso, SLO and wineries in the area. The rooms are large and clean. Our room had a large L shaped sofa, a desk and two beds as well as a good sized bathroom. Comfy beds but old towels. Free hot breakfast buffet which is heavy on sugar and carbs. The in house restaurant had more options in the evening with good happy hour prices and a decent wine selection. A good spot and I would stay again. read more

The staff was honest and went above and beyond by reporting they had found them and promptly returning them to me. I had to easily complete an online form and my earrings arrived. visiting paso robles and staying at the springhill suites which is a marriott hotel...about 10 minutes drive to the downtown area...staying in a 2 queen bed suite which also includes a sofa bed in the living room section...possibly sleeps 6 in this room...standard frig, coffee maker and water in the room...room was tidy and would stay here again...towels plenty and beds comfortable...the only complaint was from the child about the small pool having too many dead bugs in the water...the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch in the morning...friendly staff...easy check-in and check-out... read more

3-day stay and no housekeeping. Marriott is milking the cost savings by not providing housekeeping for as long as they can. They say it is to minimize contact for the safety of staff and guests. Mask wearing is far more effective and no one is wearing masks, not even the housekeepers. Clearly there is no interest in minimizing contact but rather in saving money. Best hotel staff I've encountered recently. Very friendly and helpful. Nice but tiny pool. Good on a blazing hot day, but otherwise I get the feeling you would freeze in the pool. Room was it good size, and it was reasonably comfortable. I was upgraded to a room with a sofa and a small sitting area because I'm a titanium elite member. With housekeeping this hotel would have earned a higher star rating. read more

We found this hotel, because Paso Robles was over priced because the tri-county fair was in progress. We were going to the Vina Robles concert venue for Tori Amos. This was a great discovery, because you're still close to Paso, and get so much more. -No issues with the parking lot. -Two water filling stations in the lobby. -A welcoming lobby -The breakfast was too early for us, we slept through it. (7-9 a.m.) -Our room was spacious, no joke. My only minus was the transparent sliding doors, they are annoying when someone needs to use the bathroom at 3 a.m., it lights up the whole room. -Nice outdoor area to swim, socialize and so on. The hotel staff was very accommodating for my request for a king bed. They were responsive when chatting with them through the app. The hotel grounds was clean and tidy. The only thing I would add to management is to consider a low flowing shower and toilet. When flushing, amount of water that is used is too much and should be set to a low flow. The shower head has very good pressure, but I feel it's a little over the top and should be using a low flow one. I like that this hotel is 10 minutes from downtown Paso. It's very convenient and from the pictures I've seen online, it looks newer than the one in Paso. This is my 2nd stay here, and both times, I've not had any issues. read more

The SpringHill Suites in Atascadero is pretty nice. I tend to stay here on business trips or I'll stay at another hotel in Paso Robles. Generally from what I found is that the room rates here can be a little bit cheaper and the rooms are bigger here. There's tons of parking everywhere so that's not an issue. There's also a free breakfast here in the mornings. The lobby itself isn't too big but it's enough where there is a market on the side of the check in counter. What I like is that the rooms are fairly being you have that one section with a pullout couch and a desk. And then you have the bed on the other side. The rooms tend to be kind of long. What caught me by surprise is that the train tracks are literally right next to the hotel but the train only went by once from what I noticed. The restaurant in the lobby is pretty nice and there's decent food. Breakfast in the lobby is pretty standard with a couple of hot dishes, oatmeal, cereals, and some pastries. It's a great hotel here, would definitely recommend this space here if you're passing through the central coast. read more

I have stayed at the Atascadero Springhill on multiple occasions, a few times on business and a couple times while on vacation. and have had a good experience pretty much every time. It's been continuously remodeled, so every time I arrive, something changes a little bit...for the better of course. Right off the 101 fwy, it is very easy to access. The lobby has a nice ambiance, there's a full bar, outdoor pool (which I found out on a recent trip, is heated), and a decent snack bar, complete with wines...you ARE in wine country, after all. I've seen both families and businesses here on my stays, so it's good for all kinds of guests They have a decent sized gym, for a hotel, bigger than most Marriotts I've been to, about 5-6 cardio machines and one of those all in one gyms, a couple fitness balls and a set of free weights. Free bfast buffet, typical fare...but they stock it pretty well, my girls really enjoyed the spread, especially the waffle makers. Bfast, especially on holiday or busy weekends can get pretty busy, and tables can be hard to come by, as it was on a recent trip for my family...but we were able to manage, and people just took food up to their rooms also Parking - pretty big lot, but the front spots get taken up super quick. Service - staff is very friendly and helpful. On one of my most recent stays, there was an issue with one of the shelves, and it collapsed while I was moving something around...but the staff was understanding and very apologetic...and helped me come to a resolution that I was satisfied with. read more

Was planning to stay here and had to stay about 50 miles south in Santa Maria due to an emergency. I love Marriott hotels and always stay at them. My platinum elite shows over 800 nights lifetime I called to cancel , yes after the cancellation time. The emergency could not be avoided to keep me from getting there First Call Very hard to understand my options No chance to transfer reservation to other Marriott property Front desk said they would discuss with manager to see if anything could be done after hanging up , realize they didn't take any of my info Second Call Noticing they had not cancelled my reservation , called back to release this room , although emergency kept me from showing up, and knowing I was paying for another room 50 miles away , I was okay with it This front desk support told me due to my status they would not charge me due to emergency , glad to hear it and appreciated Until ...... Not only did my prepay for room not get refunded , they double charged me. That I could not get Honestly , I would of been okay a policy is a policy , but double charged ??? Previous to this stay I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott and wasn't super happy with the stay, so I wanted to give SpringHill Suites a try. From the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be an upgrade from the Courtyard. The staff was helpful, the rooms were clean and roomy, there are several different amenities at the hotel (restaurant, fitness center open 24 hours, pool, jacuzzi, and outdoor seating areas). If you're COVID conscious, they're definitely taking extra cleaning procedures seriously for high touch areas. I saw the front desk clerk walking around multiple times with a sanitizing spray gun. He was spraying down the elevators, the gym, and front desk. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the fridge in the room had spilled milk in it and as a result was unusable from the refrigerator being turned off by the last guest. Also, no conditioner in the room. Overall though, great place to stay. read more
