I did not answer because I went back to work and I called him less than a hour later. He did not answer the phone so I figured he was working on cars, totally understandable. I send him a text letting him know I apologize for not answering. I never received a call back and it shows that he read my text message and he never texted back. I don't know where along those lines did we no longer agree to services. He could've easily responded with a text saying I'm on my way send me your address. Perfect.. boom would've left work and met him at my house like we agreed. Instead I get no response, no phone call. Ohh and today Sunday 6/28 he responds to my yelp messages asking how can he help ? I think he's finally connected the dots. I still even agreed to his services after he was assuming the maintenance on my car has not been up to date. I told him sir I've taken my car to the dealership for maintenance I know how important is it for those type of cars to keep up with. He then started talking about how the prior owner neglected maintenance, I told him sir I've had this car for 6 years and prior to me owning it, it was a lease for an Infiniti Dealership. It had no prior owner besides the dealership as it was a lease for 3 years. I bought the car with under 10k miles in 2020. I still just wanted him to run a diagnostic instead of the dealership charging me a lot! So no I don't want help anymore from your business.

Same price for oil change but for the 2 filters, cabin air filter was like $20 and the air filter was like $30, they charged me $150 for labor to switch these out!! These don't even take more than 5 mins to change. Ridiculous. Total price for oil change and filters was $360. When I signed paperwork where it showed how much it was going to be when I dropped off my car, it was my fault to not pay attention to the total or else I wouldn't have moved forward with the filters. But I definitely was not expecting for a stupid number like $360. They did give me a discount of like $45 but still, a little excessive on the total. My 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe developed an oil leak, and I had put out feelers for a mechanic. I had a…read moredirect message on Facebook offering a shop, Auto Wench II in Hesperia. I knew the shop, and that it had been in the same location for years, so I decided to trust them. I took my car in to have an oil leak fixed, and after a week, I was told it was fixed. Once I got there, however, another leak had started in the time between getting the call my car was ready, and the time I got to the shop. Ok, things happen. I get a diagnosis of a rear main seal, and ok the work. This took almost 2 month to be completed. I picked up car up, and once home, I saw it was leaking oil still. So I call the shop, and was told "it's probably just residual oil", and to bring it back if it continues. I also noticed they did not replace the engine cover. I called and they located it, so we went back to have it put back on. Well, the oil leak did continue (after giving it time to stop, so I could say, yes, I did wait and see), and I brought it back within a week. My calls for a diagnosis were brushed off, I was told someone work call me but that they were "really backed up". I ended up only getting answers once the husband called, and even then, they were slow in answering. This went on for nearly 3 months. I only left it because I did not want to go through the expense of getting another mechanic to diagnose it (and the added expense that would be), and frankly, because I had already waited so long, and paid a good deal to have my vehicle fixed, and it wasn't fixed. Ultimately, I paid $67 for the part, and got my car back. Driving, I started to notice a noise from the front driver-side wheel. The noise progressed quickly into a "helicopter" like sound, and there was some shake to the steering wheel. I went through some possibilities in my head. Now, when I picked up my car from the shop, the locking lug nut socket was sitting in my cup holder. Odd, as that is not where I keep it, and I couldn't figure out why they would have taken a wheel off. I put it in my center console to store it away, but it being left out like that bothered me. Unfortunately, I ended up sick with the flu, and wasn't up for trying to get to the bottom of the situation until this week. I did NOT want to take my car back to the shop that had proven not to be communicative and had treated me like the lowest priority customer. The trust was lost. I took it to another shop close by me (another that had been around for decades) today for a diagnosis, fearing the worse/most expensive repair was forthcoming. Within an hour or 2, the technician called us back with the determination- the previous shop had taken the wheel off (no problem, if there was a need) and out of 6 lug nuts only 1 was tightened. 1 was completely missing, and the other 4 were loose. Because of this there was damage to the wheel (thankfully, not enough to cause a replacement yet). The technician sounded incredulous, explaining that we were lucky the wheel did not come off, and that if we had taken it on the highway, that was a potentially fatal accident waiting to happen. When I was told this, my thoughts went back to that lug socket and how it seemed odd that it was left in my cup holder. So, I agreed to the repair, and had my car back around 4 pm. However, this was almost $180 that I should NEVER had to spend, and it was all due to someone not doing their job correctly and ensuring they checked all the boxes when putting my vehicle back together. I do not feel I should foot the bill to repair something that Auto Wench caused. Thankfully, The wheel stayed on, a flying wheel did not cause anyone else to be injured or killed, and that myself and my 2 kids did not get killed due to this (I have to take my youngest to college to move in soon, so I needed to get it looked at before that happened).

The mechanic says well let's get it on the thing leave it with me for a day let's make sure that's all you have to do fine give me a call back hey yes it's Bank One order the catalytic converter $2,500 later have them put it on. Which was fine new light comes on thermostat issue took care of it two days later Bank two light comes on for catalytic converter. I didn't say much about it but I thought he was supposed to go through there really good to make sure that I wasn't paying for Bank One for no reason. As if I didn't learn my lesson brought the truck home dealt with it the way I needed to deal with it fine Bank two's bad I'll figure it out took my 2013 Lincoln MKS into the shop because it had a bad water pump. Have the tow truck deliver it when they delivered it I was there when he delivered it sunroof was closed they called me a week later and said my car was ready got in my car mechanic comes out of the back and says hey your sunroof won't close it was already closed when it got there fine didn't really worry about it too much maybe it's my issue put the car in the garage didn't take the car out until the Saturday afterwards for a friend to close my sunroof until I figure it out manually which I still haven't figured it out. It starts getting hot outside so I turn my air conditioner on guess what my air conditioner doesn't work now. Every time I said something about something being wrong with the sunroof or even the air conditioner which remember I didn't even make complaints about them not catching Bank too on the truck the mechanic says oh well the job that I had to tear half your engine apart and look on and grab your water pump from the inside which cost you $2,700 had nothing to do with the air conditioner which means he did not take a belt off of the air conditioner motor he did not touch the clutch or any of that that's what that means right so my air conditioner doesn't work. These guys are scams these guys will get your money these guys will complain and say that it has nothing to do with whatever they did when it definitely does they will never ever ever take responsibility for anything they do to your vehicle you will just be bringing your vehicle back in for them to fix it for an extra amount of money I overheard a conversation where the guy called and said you did my transmission a year ago can you take a look at it he said oh boy it's been a year yeah for $1,800 not bring it in not it could be my fault not let's see if I did something wrong nothing. So I'm going to get on High Desert Deals I'm going to get on high desert mechanics I'm going to Rally everybody together that's ever had a problem with this company from past and future and now and do something about this. After issuing them $6,000 between both cars not one mechanic said let me lift up the hood and see if I blew a fuse if I messed up the clutch in the air conditioner while taking off half of your engine to fix the water pump as far as they're concerned whatever job they did had nothing to do with what's wrong. We have photo evidence that while the car was in their care/shop it was WITH the trailer hitch cover intact. The owner refused to take responsibility and was rude saying "well what do you want me to do". Then claims "this is what happens when I help people". Sir, you did not help anyone you were paid $5,500 for the job. The least you could do was replace a trailer hitch cover that was stolen under YOUR CARE and at YOUR shop. He claimed that he was going to look for the cover and ask his guys, and when my dad called back he got argumentative and supposedly no trailer hitch cover to be found. The 'help' they claim they did was them holding onto our car. We brought the car in and after getting the estimate from the shop and talking to our extended warranty, we couldn't afford the $1.5k something difference the warranty wasn't going to cover. They went over my dad's head and started on the job anyways!! My dad never gave verbal permission or signed any contract or agreement, that he agreed to get the car service with them. When the estimate was given to my dad by the shop, my dad let the guy know he didn't have the money to cover the difference. He said he did us a favor by not putting a lien on the car, but how would that be possible if we never signed anything agreeing to service? We didn't even know they were working on it until we were getting quotes elsewhere, and called our extended warranty and they told us they already paid Five Star Transmission for the job. My dad told the guy he was going to talk to my mom and let him know.when he called back they already started on it before anything. They jumped the gun. We were still shopping around and were going to get the car towed out of their shop but they went ahead and started service anyways. They claim my dad gave them permission (which is not true). Seems very much unprofessional and unethical to start on a $5,500 job without having to sign anything. My parents had no choice but to let them service it since they started on it anyways without their permission!!! Although we appreciate them holding onto our car for the time, being rude and refusing to replace our trailer hitch cover was unacceptable. You didn't do anyone a favor, they knew what they were doing when they jumped on a $5.5k without our permission. It would be nice to get our trailer hitch cover replaced, at least.

They call me later that day and tell me the repair is done. When I asked what was wrong he says " the Freon was low and you needed a new cabin air filter". Hmmm okay. So I go to pick up my car the following morning, pay him his $120 and I leave. A/c is working fine, as expected, because it's morning and it's not hot YET. 30min later it's pushing 90 outside and lo and behold the a/c starts blowing hot air. I didn't even make it back home and the shit stops working. Did you guys even put an ounce of regard into what I told you was the issue up front? Clearly not. Felt like a take the easy route and spit him out the door situation. Very very poor business practice. Waste of time, money, my breath, my mental energy. Avoid.
