I will never use this company again! I feel that they have taken advantage of a woman. I had to have my main septic line replaced because it collapsed. They gave me an estimate of $3,500. Not knowing what was involved and thinking it was going to be a huge job, I told them to go ahead and schedule the work. Two workers showed up and hand dug 28' of pipe that was less than 12" deep. They had the old pipe dug up in 20 minutes and took a break. Removed and replaced with new pipe, added a baffle and a clean out in 30 minutes and took a break. They covered the new pipe and cleaned up. The actual total work time was 1 1/2 hours and I was still charged $3,500. I have timed stamped pictures that show the progress of their work. I called and talked to the owner telling him I felt I was overcharged and asked him to look into it. He said he would get back to me within 24 hours and never responded. I called and sent e-mails 5 more times and got no response from anyone. They are very helpful when they want to get the job but not after. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General. A Wesco responded to the AG saying their charges were justified. I urge anyone that has had a similar experience to file a complaint with the Attorney General and if they get enough complaints, they will do a formal investigation for possible unfair or deceptive trade practices. read more

Yeah, I am about ready to be on a sewer line, but that's not because of these guys. They did the job just fine. Previous owners of my home for some reason decided to build a wooden deck over the area where my septic tank is, and the as-built diagram on file with the county makes it look like the tank is in a different area. Neither of these things is Wesco's fault, but they do matter to the service they provided. The tech came out, found the tank, and worked around the schedule of the contractor re-surfacing my deck so he could pump the tank while the planking was up. He worked within the maze of deck joists and got the work done quickly and without issue. He even left $50 off the bill because he was able to find and dig up the lid for the tank quickly. I have no basis for comparison for septic services, but he was careful with the truck so he wouldn't damage the flower beds, careful with the hose so he wouldn't damage the deck, and he explained his work thoroughly. I learned a bit about drain fields and whatnot in the process. Would happily use these guys again, as they have high ratings on Puget Sound Checkbook (way more reviews there) and they came through with good work for me at a fair price. read more

A Wesco Septic did my septic pumping and an inspection of the septic for the sale of my home. At the time, King County didn't provide them with an As Built drawing of my septic. We thought that was needed in order to sell the house. My husband and I went to the King County Public Health Office and it was closed due to CoVid19. We called and they were very nice when they called back, but said they didn't have one for us. JESS at A Wesco went out of her way to work with King County and they found one it. She saved us $600! And the best part, I never even asked her to do it! She went above and beyond any expectations I had. Turns out we needed to replace our distribution tank and they gave a fair bid and did exceptional work. I hired this company to perform a septic inspection and pump for a property sale. They performed the service and sent me an estimate for repairs to the system. The estimate was high and I told them not to file the septic report with the county while I got a second option. Sure enough, another company came in with a much lower bid on the work. Meanwhile A-Wesco filed the report with the County after I specifically asked them not to (via phone and email). The filing of the report added complications to resolving the septic inspection and thus delayed the property sale, costing me additional money. Despite polite contact with the company via emails and phone calls they refuse to address the situation or even have a conversation. I'm disappointed in their lack of professionalism and certainly would not use them again. read more

Brand new septic system went bad and A Wesco charged 4K to fix it. It has since broken twice. Last time A Wesco sent someone onsite who never checked and and charged us for "fixing the tank". Everytime they come out they say the tank needs pumped but twice in two months is plenty. A Wesco cost us $4000 after buying our house due to their negligence. The homeowners picked them to do our septic inspection, which failed, and they spent thousands with A Wesco to "fix" it. Shortly after we spent $1000 on a plumber to find out A Wesco didn't inspect the line that went to our mother in law which was broken. They tried to say it wasn't on the plans but my husband pulled up the plans and it was on the plans. So while they fixed it for free, we had to pay $1000 to asphalt our driveway after they had to tear it up. Which would have been the previous homeowners cost had they caught it originally. Since then our septic alarm has gone off and we have had our tank pumped several times to which they said was a drain field issue. Well it actually was that our pump they installed 1 year and 2 months ago wasn't functioning. Which of course was outside the warranty of 1 year. So they "graciously" covered the cost of the new pump but we had to pay $1000 for install and to get our tank pumped after already paying $1000 to have it pumped multiple times when they kept saying it was our drain field. So $4000 of their mistakes later we are angry and disappointed. I get mistakes happen but how everything was handled was ridiculous and zero accountability. Avoid at all cost!!! read more

A Westco is a ripoff! $869.00 for a pump out and $1650.00 for the new pump and less than 1 hour of installation! My lawn looks terrible and they even left a 3 foot long piece of wire sticking out on the lawn. Last time I use them! Met Lewis from A Westco at my home this morning and he resolved all of my issues. We called A-Wesco to pump our tank - our first pumping since buying our house. They found a large crack in the tank below the outlet baffle such that effluent was leaking out before reaching the drainfield. There was also a ton of rocks and dirt at the bottom of the tank as well. I'm glad I decided to pump a little early. They quoted a fairly high price to just fix the crack, but I thought the bundled price to remove the sediment at the bottom, bury it, and install an effluent filter was fair. The four guys arrived on time just a couple days later, filled the crack, dug out all of the rocks and sediment, and installed the filter. I do think you pay a premium with A-Wesco; they likely aren't the cheapest, but they do seem to know what they are doing and they have really fast response times. On 5/29 we received service on my mother-in-law's home that is being sold. Upon inspection, we were told that the system "needs mainline w/inlet baffle, outlet baffle w/tightline". The price we were quoted was $4800. We had our general contractor out to remove the portion of deck necessary to do the work. The contractor, being very familiar with septic systems, pointed out every item described in the quote proving that we were lied to. Just a couple years before his death, my father-in-law had the entire drain field replaced. Along with it were the parts that their employee claimed needed replacing. There are a couple small items that our contractor will deal with, but for much, MUCH less than what we were quoted by A Wesco. I've used A Wesco several times in the past and felt that I received good and fair service. There was even a Saturday when I thought I was dealing with a septic issue and the owner and his son came to inspect and found a blockage in my inlet line. He helped unplug it and I was charged only the service fee. I've spent a few thousand dollars with A Wesco and have referred people whenever they have asked whom they should use. However, feeling deceived and that there was an attempt to take advantage of us, I cannot trust the service I would receive nor what a family member or friend might receive. Their current price was a real shock, so I called A Wesco Septic Service to get a comparison bid and they quoted me a price that was $260 less than the other company. Scheduling was fast and easy with the service occurring on the next business day and the service technician even showed up a bit ahead of time. He was friendly and efficient in getting the tank pumped, did not leave a mess (a previous pumping of my tank by a different vendor left sewage sludge on my lawn) and he gave me a verbal report of the condition of my tank. Yelp informs me I've written 15 reviews, and this is the first business that has earned itself one star. My wife has been dealing with A Wesco for the past month to try to get our septic system in order. They had initially promised her they could review the septic, but not file inspection documents with county until we chose whether to use them for the necessary repairs (we planned to get multiple bids). A Wesco's quote for repairs noted that our tank had multiple cracks and holes in it, which two other septic companies disputed, plus came in more than twice as expensive as another company's bid. We then learned that A Wesco had chosen to file their inspection with the county, while having done no work on our system. They filed their failed inspection, and then charged $1000 for the honor -- about half for the as-built drawing (where no work was done due to their recommendation to replace our tank), half for the inspection report they assured us they wouldn't file without our consent. In response to this exorbitant charge, my wife has tried contacting them 5+ times via telephone and email over several weeks. They dodge our inquiries with explanations like "the manager that could discuss your situation isn't here, he'll call you later." This pattern of evasion continues for weeks after they charged our credit card for work they had not completed (and makes our home harder to sell, bonus!). If this sounds like the sort of company you would like to work with, give them a call. read more

Honestly not the most exciting issues to have to deal with, but this company is full of professional and accommodating people. The first day I called them they had someone out same day. I had to pay a little more for emergency services but I was happy they had that option! Dennis also filled the holes back up and carried our garbage can up onto the lawn to cover the last one so nothing could fall in it. It really felt like I was a friend he was helping out and he wanted to do it right. That night I realized we had another issue with the pump and I knew they had to come out soon to fix a broken main. 5 stars just isn't enough for this awesome company! I originally wanted to choose them but made the mistake of going with a different company because of history with the property. They ended up not finishing the job. The second company scheduled to go out the next day but then weren't able to. I called A Wesco because they had the highest ratings of anybody on yelp for septic and explained to Cheri that the closing of our house depended on this report getting out on time. Everybody else had quoted me at least 2 weeks! Cheri said she would see what she could do and had somebody out in TWO DAYS! John in the one that did the inspection. And because of their willingness to work with our really tight/impossible time frame... we are now able to close on our house on time! I am new to septic and was getting alarms. I saw positive review on yelp and wanted to use A Wesco Septic to troubleshoot alarm on my septic. They did not spend much time on trying to root cause the issue and quickly suggested I need to replace septic pump because it is old. Their quote was above what I could have imagined. They are clearly in the business to make more revenue, not helping customers. Beware of expensive repairs or diagnostics you may not need. Avoid Wesco.
