We had some huge cracks in our vehicle window and called around for quotes. A-Z was not only substantially cheaper, but they also come right to your house and do the work on site. They wound up with the wrong windshield, so they sealed off the vehicle for the night and came back with a new windshield a day later. They replaced it and it looks great! First, the work done was OK - that is, I have no complaints. HOWEVER, I was quoted $100 to $150 to replace a window that I had to provide. After I obtained the window, I let him know and set up an install time (between 1 & 4 PM) the following week. Later, I sent him my VIN # and asked for a copy of the work order. He did not provide a copy of the work order. Instead, he shows up and has the window installed in my driveway without letting me know that he arrived. When I asked him how much I owed, he said $200 plus tax. I then reminded him that he quoted $100 to $150, and he basically told me "whatever". I had bids from other installers, but I decided to use him because he installed another window for me in another vehicle which went as planned. I probably won't use him again, nor will I recommend his company because, while his work appears to be fine, his respect for his customers and his ethical standards appear to be questionable, at best. read more

From the second I sent him a yelp message asking a question for a quote he had been communicative, friendly, funny, and very fair in his price. I got a quote from a mainline windshield auto place and they quoted me over $200 from what he told me it would cost him to do my windshield. I communicated with the company via yelp. Communication was slow.. I was clear on the days that would work. I even talked to someone on the phone to make sure I was scheduled for the correct date and time. The day and time come and no one come. I called about 20 minutes after the appointment time and left a message. 2 hours after the appointment time and still no call back and no one has showed up. I'm now getting this rock chip taken care of at Glass Works. As I am paying for the work I recieve a call back and send it to voicemail. The owner I assume left a message and apologized and stated a vehicle went down the day before and they had to put yesterday's appointments onto today and the schedule got screwed up. I appreciate the call back but a call the day before or even the day of would have been nice so I could have planned accordingly and not have wasted so much time out of my day. read more

When he came he inspected all of my windows and fixed them with WD40. He could have charged me for the window parts and labor and I would not have known the difference. Very honest!! I used to hate having to deal with getting a window replaced. Driving there and waiting or dropping a vehicle off with a busy schedule and having to come back to pick it up. I called Tom a few months ago to replace three cracked windshields. He came to my location, had all three done in the same day, and handled all of the insurance paperwork. (My insurance company tried to automatically schedule me with Safelite, but they have some terrible reviews. I asked my insurance if I could use a different company and it was pretty simple after that). One of the vehicles was a classic car with some rust issues. Tom let me know before he pulled the cracked windshield that there was the potential for rust issues around the windshield, which could complicate the replacement. Luckily everything was fine, but I was impressed with his knowledge, honesty, and excellent communication. The windshield in my Chrysler (my daily driver) is absolutely perfect, no leaks or issues of any kind. The new windshield looks exactly like my old one- complete with the dark shading around the edges, he even put my oil change sticker back in place- but without the gigantic cracks. The other two windshields appear to be just as perfect. Those vehicles are driven by members of my family, and they have had no complaints at all. Tom was very nice, professional, and experienced. I love the warranty that comes with his windshield replacements. I also like the I am supporting a small business and keeping the money in our community.
