When I arrived, she was pleasant and helpful answering any questions I had, the music in the workshop was blaring and I loved it! They did a great job with the chip repair, I ended up just paying cash so I didn't have to go through insurance making it easier, cost me about 70 bucks using my insurance cash discount, but without making a claim. I have to say, I was a little disappointed with them after coming here just to leave with my windshield not working and all the sensors for pre collision, and cross traffic alert were freaking out. This happened for about two weeks which sucked, but the gal at the front was upfront with me about it, I just wish they could've fixed it right away. I brought it in for the second time in hopes that they will for sure fix this problem or else I have to go to the dealership they said. Well after 4 hours, Andrew called me to inform me that I was all good and they were successful in getting my windshield fixed with the OEM! I was so happy. When I arrived, Andrew wasn't at the desk, but to my luck when I walked out to my car, he was right there, he apologized for it taking it so long but explained to me that he wanted to ensure they did it correctly so I wouldn't have to go anywhere. That really meant a lot to me because Andrew didn't know I was frustrated that I had to come back in but he still went the extra mile to explain everything to me and how they fixed it this time. If I could give a zero, I would. I came to them after my windshield was replaced by one of their technicians at my house for a large crack. The next morning I could clearly hear wind coming through due to lack of proper sealing. They told me it was fine & passed all the tests, barely even took the time to look. My car is BRAND NEW, I should not be able to hear anything just like when I bought it. I took it to the Chevy Dealership & they confirmed for me that it is in fact not sealed properly & now I have to travel another 30+ minutes to have Safelite look at it AGAIN. They don't want to work! I reached out to their Auburn location through insurance to replace my windshield since it had huge crack. After scheduling appointment they reach out and cancel since they don't have enough workers to perform the job. Then I schedule with Puyallup location but had to wait a week. Apparently they have 15 minutes appointment wait time if you are late by 18 minutes they won't serve you even there is nobody else there. They don't understand how to work with customers. I was feeling like they are doing me a favor not a job for which they will receive a huge check from insurance. I will never use them again or recommend to others! read more

Car was broken into and drivers window was smashed. USAA suggested I come here. The location is well over an hour from my house, but they were the only place that had my window in stock, so I made the trek. My elderly mother accompanied me and we both had to wear earplugs because the highway noise without a window was deafening. When we arrived, we were told to wait in the waiting room which was infested with flies. So many, that I had to get up and borrow a magazine to swat all the ones which were flying around my mother's head. After waiting for a considerable amount of time, I was told they made a mistake, and they didn't actually have my window in stock, and I would have to go to another location several days later. So there's four hours of time taken off work and wasted, and three more days of driving around without a window in a city where people will steal anything that isn't nailed down. When I go to the other location days later, I was told "your deductible is $500, so it will be $500". Interestingly enough, that's what they told everyone who walked in the door. I paid, they did the work, and I left. For months, I was still finding pieces of broken glass which they failed to vacuum up, and my mechanic nearly cut his knee on one of them. Then six months later, I received a bill in the mail for an additional $338 which they said I owed them. I looked the window up online, and you can get one brand new for $75. Labor for the job is listed as 1.7 hours max for a Jeep. That's right folks - $838 to install a $75 (retail price) part. I filed a BBB complaint, and someone named "Devonta" refused to cancel the money they claim I owe them. Will now be filing a complaint with the AG's office. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, they are fleecing customers and their insurance companies. read more

In March, Jose came to my house in Puyallup, WA to replace my windshield. I travel extensively and was leaving to go overseas for many weeks. Jose glued my mirror on the new windshield and told me if it didn't stick, I could go to O'Reilly's and get a new one! I told him I would contact him if it failed to be fixed, and he would come and finish fixing it - and he agreed. I came home and the mirror was on the floor. I am now flying out again in a few days. I have called, texted, left messages and absolutely no response from you. Now I have 2 little dings in my new windshield , no mirror, and I need to put my new transponder on before I leave. If this is how you do customer service, I will make sure to warn people to stay away from Safelite. I recently used them to replace a broken truck window that was more complicated and be a 3-4hour process to replace so a drop off to their shop was required. My appointment was at 9:30. After not hearing back from them by 2 I called and was told that because I dropped it off it wasn't a priority and that it wouldn't be done till closer to closing. What terrible communication. And who would stay there that long to be a priority. Just a thought but at that point there was no point on having an appointment. I should have just dropped it off around 1:30. read more

Got a rock chip and crack today close to the edge of my Windshield. Saskia at the Puyallup location was positive, friendly, and got me an appointment for same day. I got there early and they were still able to get me in very quick. Being 2 inches from the edge and already having 2 inches of crack makes for a difficult repair. Allison the repair girl was amazing! She was able to do her magic and still get it to suction on to do the repair. She drilled it filled it and was able to fill most of the crack. Someone smashed my rear passenger window out. Long story short, after finally reaching out to my insurance lady she recommended that I reach out to Safelite to see how much it would cost to pay out of pocket as my deductible would be $500 and then the incident would be on my record for three years. I found them here on Yelp and was able to use the website to get an estimate for the cost both with and without insurance. It came to about $540-560 so I figured I'd just pay out of pocket and not get insurance involved. Though, if more than one window had been broken out, using insurance would have been the way to go. I was able to make my appointment for the following afternoon with a window of 12-5PM. It was the last available appointment for the whole weekend so I was pretty happy. The following morning, around 10AM, I received a call to let me know my actual appointment time would be 4:30-5:30PM, which I thought was pretty cool so I wouldn't just be sitting around wondering. I was able to get some yard work done while I waited. Lio showed up around 5:15 and right off the bat, I could tell he was a cool dude. He apologized for being a little late, explaining I was the last person on his list and he had only been told about me that morning. I was just grateful to get in so soon -he could have showed up at 10PM and I would have been happy to see him. Being an 80+ degree day, I knew he had been working hard. He told me all about what he was doing and how it would affect the new window. Apparently, a single remaining piece of broken glass can impact its ability to roll up and down correctly. I told him I didn't want him to feel micromanaged by my watching him but he said he didn't mind at all. We chit-chatted while he fixed the window and my first impression was correct -he's a cool dude. Lio is the king of customer service. He said he just moved down the road from me so if there was any problems with the new window I could call him day or night and he'd come take care of it. He made sure to give me his card. The new window looks great and so far works great too. Lio even vacuumed up all the broken glass. Even though he was working late, he made me feel like he was happy to be helping me. I highly recommend Safelite based on this first time experience. The whole process couldn't be easier and I was so impressed with how quickly I was scheduled. I had an at-home appointment for a chip repair that I originally cancelled because I wouldn't have been available to come to the door/outside at the time, and I assumed that was a requirement. Well, I was clearly wrong as Matthew came to the rescue anyway, managed locate my vehicle in sea of many in my apartment complex, and fixed my windshield despite the fact I that missed his phone call/messages. My windshield looks brand new and the process could not be more convenient, despite my unavailability. He surpassed my expectations with his efficency and professionalism without even having spoken to him. Really appreciate the top tier service and the go-getter that is Matthew. I had 3 appointments with Safelite to repair my power window on the driver's side. Two of the appointments were cancelled by Safelite because they didn't have all the parts. A nice man came to my home for the 3rd appointment but only had one of the necessary three parts to fix the window. Therefore, nothing was done. I was told they could not source a door switch - I called O' Reilly's and ordered a new switch. Customer service was awful - called several different numbers and was never able to talk to a live person. I finally got my power window fixed by another mechanic but after waiting for about 3 weeks for Safelite to tell me they couldn't do the job. read more

Where do I even start ? opened a claim in mid December 2022 it is now 04/25/2023 and its still not correct and now I have a leaking windshield. I have now had SafeLite out to the house more than 6x's. on one occasion my appointment was between 12-5 . I received a call mid morning saying that he would be to the house at 3 pm. So I did my normal errands and arrived home at 253pm. I sat and waited and waited around 5pm I watched the security cameras only to see that he was already at the house. He showed up at 2:40 and then left 4 mins later. I have many scratches/gouges on my new $100K car that is less than a year old and and less than 8k on the odometer. I washed my car the other day only to see soap inside the vehicle. I have been Working with the " GM " Brian. He says he wants to help but nothing has been done until I called today after discovering more scratches after doing my own investigating. Got my drivers side window replaced. They did a great job and even offered to fix the wiring for my rearview mirror - separate issue. The tech really knew his stuff and was totally confident they could fix it. I decided to skip it, that time, but came in for a new windshield a couple of months later and decided to have them do it (fix the rearview mirror and wiring). I made sure to tell them, in advance, and they agreed to do it. Next thing I know, I'm in their waiting room. A tech comes out and says "you DO REALIZED your rearview mirror is broken, right?" What??? Yes, I did. Got the manager. She proceeded to tell me they cannot fix that issue... "maybe we could tape it?" - what?? Where's the tech that originally said he could do it? She told me he doesn't work there anymore. At any rate, BECAUSE they set my expectation on fixing the rearview, and then couldn't do it, I'm not sure what they CAN DO vs. cannot do well. 100% agree with Brenda. I tried calling to ask a question regarding eye sight recalibration with window replacement and got stuck in a never ending loop of an automated system. A system that never understood "speak to representative" or "ask a question" but somehow got to an area that said "please hold for the next available representative" and after ringing/being on hold for 2 minutes, I was told no one was available to take my call and instead I was directed to go online. Ummm I did and couldn't find an answer to what I was looking for. How ridiculous that a company thinks potential customers don't need an actual human to talk to AND don't even have an option to talk to the location DIRECTLY. I'm sure it's Corporate cutting overhead costs by cutting jobs to raise their profits because...capitalism. How about make it easy to reach an employee and provide actual customer service to generate *repeat* customers, which drive up revenue. 1000% dumb thinking on their part. read more
