Gentleman who came to give estimate was very careful to try to match my now discontinued flooring to the bedroom that adjoined it. The match was as good as we could get, and I'm satisfied. Within a week of my estimate we scheduled the install. Installers very courteous, very quick, and got the room done in about 3 hours...moved my furniture back in and made sure I was satisfied. We just installed LVP flooring in our home. It was great service from the moment we called for an estimate. John arrived with samples. He went over all our options, he gave us tips, and he answered all my questions. The quote was less than we thought and we were thrilled. So we scheduled an appointment. They explained what to expect, the time they were arriving, etc. The crew arrived on time. They were a well-oiled machine. They got my home completed in 5 hours and we thought for certain it was a 2-day job (they told us 1 day but we honestly didn't believe them) The crew was professional and respectful of our home and furnishings. When they were done they cleaned up and asked if we had any questions before they left. We were given a call a few days later to follow up and ask if all went okay and if we had questions. I recently purchased a new home and had A1 flooring replace the carpet & linoleum in the whole home with LVP and refinish my stairs before moving in. I had A1 and two other large national flooring companies (you know their jingles) quote the project. A1's quote was very competitive, especially considering they were the only one of the three companies that could also do the stairs. They did an excellent job, and the final product is beautiful! I will absolutely use them again for future projects. The mark of a great company isn't what they do when things go right, it's what they do when things go wrong. And on a big job where you are replacing the whole home, it's inevitable that at least one thing will go wrong. On my project, it was a leak from one of the toilets when they pulled it out to put down the LVP around it. Unfortunately, the leak was upstairs and leaked down into the ceiling on the first floor. A1 handled the issue with aplomb and grace. They hired a plumber to come in and fix the leak and make sure there were no further issues. Then they had the affected portion of the ceiling cut out & replaced, to prevent any potential mold issues. Lastly, they repainted the whole ceiling in that section of the home, so there was no glaring patch of paint that didn't match. They didn't charge me one thin dime for the extra work needed to fix the issue, and even with the ceiling fix, the entire project from start to finish took only 4 days. I highly recommend A1 to anyone in the triangle area looking to have their floors redone! read more

We were lucky to come across A1 floors after we had a chemical spill in our home which required us to replace some of our hardwoods downstairs and our carpeting upstairs. They did a beautiful job with both types of installations. The hardwoods blended perfectly with our existing floor, and we cannot tell where it was replaced. The carpet is beautiful and is definitely of high quality, which combined with the padding, makes the rug very soft and comfortable to walk on. I waited a few months to post a review to see how the carpet held up physically to normal use. And, after a variety of situations, I am happy to say that it has done beautifully. Our carpet is a light color, which I love, but it did make me nervous because we have some areas in our yard where it gets muddy (regular mud and clay), and we have 2 dogs. Although we do not wear shoes in our home, it is nearly impossible to prevent the dogs from unintentionally bringing in some of the outdoors. Recently there was a vey rainy week or so, and of course we found little paw prints going up the stairs... And then we had several days when one of our dogs had an upset stomach and vomited in several places and also had a few rather large incidents of diarrhea, some of which happened overnight and had dried (sorry, but it happens). All 4 types of stains, in both wet and dry states, came out completely without leaving a trace and without much effort at all! Aside from the excellent quality of materials and workmanship, the customer service was fantastic. Calls were always returned in a timely and professional manner, and they answered my endless stream of questions very patiently. In addition, every member of their installation teams was polite, friendly, and professional. On top of all of that, their prices were extremely reasonable and competitive. After our job was complete, we even received a hand written thank you note from them. That was such a nice touch and shows how much they appreciate their customers! If you want a professionally installed, high quality carpet or hardwoods, I highly recommend A1 floors and would definitely use them again in the future should the need arise. read more

Beware of this company, when they come to quote the price, they are very sweet and nice. When you sign the contract with them and pay them, and when the floor have problem. Then you know the true about this company, A1 floors. very dishonest. they will turn off the phone when you mention if you have any problem with their installation. I hire them to install the vinyl plank flooring. In the contract they suppose to install the underlay before they can install the vinyl plank. However, they did not install the underlay, so they install the vinyl planks directly on the plywood floor. Now just a year later my floor was crack many places. I call them to fix it. Kevin, the guy in the video clip they advertise in their website. He come to check it and told me that he will give me a call in next day. but I waited forever, never hear any call from them. Then one and half week later, I call them. No one pick up the phone , twice. Couple day later, I call them again, Kevin pick up the phone, ass soon he hear I talking about the floor problem he hang it up immediately. I call him back the phone was cut off and go to voice mail right away. Please if any one have any problem with this company, you need to write a review here. so we can help others to see how dishonest work of this company had done. so all of us together to avoid the bad company. so we can build the country better with out bad company like A1 Floors. I am not satisfied with the quality of the work or quality of the product. I opted for an upgraded carpet that would be good for my toddlers and dog. I was told this carpet would be able to withstand high traffic, spills, and animals. After 2 months, my dogs nails have already snagged the carpet up in a few places where he walks often ( his nails are clipped regularly) Also, there are many, many areas throughout the carpet such as stairs( almost all of them) and almost every edge of the carpet where the staples are coming up! This is unsafe for my toddlers to walk on. This carpet was installed in September. I am not satisfied with the company overall. read more

Beware! The reason this company gets two stars is because they finally finished the project and corrected the mistakes and mishaps. Overall, as it currently stands, I do NOT and can NOT recommend this company to anyone unless you want to spend hours and hours sending messages and making phone calls and making appointments to get issues fixed. A one or two day job turned into a job that lasted over 1 month. The Good: The sales rep was amazing. Great customer service overall. Scheduling was easy and quick and I really like the color of the floors...that's it. The Bad: Mostly everything else starting with the day of installation of the floors. Several mistakes were made: (ruined my kitchen cabinets-the cabinets were scratched badly- left the sink in bathroom leaking, scratched flooring, quarter round looked like it had been installed 10 years ago, the caulking job was subpar) the finishing touches were just not there. I was very disappointed with the overall job. Yes, they came back the next day to fix the scratched floor and the sink, a different day to touch up the cabinets, a different day to fix another part of the floor. The biggest nightmare was the stairs. They sent 3 different crews to finish the job in a span of over 1 month. A job that was supposed to take 1 or 2 days lasted almost 1 month. The first crew just butchered the stairs (I have pictures) left for the day and never came back. Stairs were left in a very unsafe state and the carpet upstairs was cut short. They had to send another crew two days later to "finish the job". While this new crew "fixed" the stairs, they too messed up and left the color and sheen uneven and the carpet upstairs not repaired. All the wholes where nails went in were showing and were discolored and the caulking work was not the best. This crew had to come back to "re-finish" the stairs. Well, the re-finish did not go too well and did not take care of the problem. They had to send another stair person to finally fix the stairs. The stairs look much better but there are little issues still. Then, on another day a crew came to fix the carpet. So, a job that was supposed to take 1 or 2 days took over a month to be completed. Several missed days form work because we had to be available. For a job this expensive that was supposed to be turned key, my expectations were higher. I did not get turned key but a nightmare and missed wages. All the money, 100% of it was charged the morning the job started so beware of this. Other than coming back to fix what they broke or did do correctly in the first place no other concessions were made. (and yes, I have pictures of everything) read more

His comment about me not letting his workers use the bathroom - Total BS. My house has 6 bathrooms, and the house was empty when the job was done. I hardly write any reviews, but I'd be doing the world injustice if I let this one go. Everybody who reads this review should take a step back and think whether they want to use such an utterly deceiving company to do such an important job in their house. I feel the need to write a more succinct review of my experience getting an estimate from the company. I felt the salesman was woefully inexperienced. (I as a customer should not have more knowledge about LVP than the person selling it to me) The straw that broke the camel's back was the high pressure sales tactic the company employs at the conclusion of likely every estimate. It's been awhile so this may not be 100% accurate but I was told if I made my decision in 48 hours, I'd get 33% off the total. If not, I'd have to pay full price. That just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I don't appreciated being pressured into a sale like a car salesman. (Who I also feel fine walking away from) I like to do my research before choosing a product and installer that I feel comfortable with. And A1 Floors was certainly not that. And after the owner's unprofessional response, some of which he edited later, I'm certainly glad I didn't choose his company. read more
