I chose them for 2 major reasons. 1) they were going to deal with the scheduling of the removal and réinstallation of our solar panels. And 2) Shahar was so kind, informative, and honest during our consultation. He was through and kept us updated every step of the way. When our project finally started the crew were so respectful and kind! We found way more damage than we expected which resulted in our quote going up. However, due to Shahar being honest at the consultation we knew this was a possibility so it wasn't super shocking. The crew was great at cleaning up at the end of every day, which we appreciate as we have chickens, ducks, a puppy and cat as well as a child who are outside. When the project was done, there were a few concerns we had, we talk to Shahar and he quickly corrected and had the crew fix the items. Our roof is beautiful and will hopefully last many many years to come. I am thankful we went with Apollo Roofing and Happy Shahar was our project manager.

The walls of the skylights were textured, primed and painted. The roofers completed the roof in one day. They were careful not to break any plants and they cleaned up the yard and surrounding area. They left it cleaner than they found it because in addition to picking up roof debris, they also cleaned up leaf litter. I was planning on sweeping up the patio the day before they came, decided to put it off till after they left, but when I went out the next day it was all gone, spotless. I highly recommend this company.

They were very responsive from the Yelp inquiry and sent out someone a day or two later who seemed experienced and forthright (Dario). He was able to immediately diagnose the source of my water entry (something another company had missed or tried to upsell on diagnosing it a different way). He was willing to walk me through what he was seeing on the roof and also took photos clearly showing the issue. While he was up there, I brought two other minor issues I'd been meaning to take care of and he was happy to take photos and add them to the quote (cracked vent seal and small area of entry into the attic). They put together a formal quote and proposal within a few days and I was able to talk with one of the owners (Jason) on the phone to discuss the questions I had. He was willing to work with me on alternative (less expensive) options on one of the repairs I was requesting and walked me through the pros/cons. Felt like he really understood what I was looking for and took the time with me, even though I know it was a small repair for them. They completed the work in one day, within a week of deciding to move forward. Payment was easy and online with an immediate receipt. My mom's home badly needed roof replacement due to its age and all the leaks and floods inside the home from last year's rains. We looked at several roofers over many months, and luckily, we waited to make our decision. We responded to A1 Home Roofing Co's mail flyer, and from there on, we were in the caring hands of Ghorban and his talented team of roofers. Instead of being told the project would be started some months later, in fact, Ghorban accelerated the project, and it started right away, and about 2 weeks later, ALL is done, inspection included! And the roof looks terrific!!! Due to state and county rules getting stricter by the minute, there was a hefty amount of extra inspection-passing-work needed to be done, but Ghorban was very generous in sharing unexpected costs with us. Additionally, the original quote for the roof work itself was also very competitive and did not waver. There are so many other great things to say about Ghorban and his team, many others Yelpers have said, too. He is SO patient and responsive, truly a kind and wonderful person. We were definitely wavering over colors and such, and he made sure that our final selections were the ones they used, and also took special trips to bring us samples. During the job, we tried to stay away as much as possible, but every night, the area around the home was cleaned up to a tee - not one lone nail on the driveway to ruin tires. The neighbors commented on how quite the work was, and we noticed that even in the house before slipping out for the day. Careful, efficient work with a lovely and super-professional outcome. The foreman's work in particular could be called artistic, but all the team was talented and professional. The extra work needed to pass inspection was also done with great care - and all the colors they used for the new/replaced vents and such blend perfectly with the roof. Mom LOVED her original roof she's had for over 60 years (jumbo wood shake), so for her to enjoy this new roof, you can bet the result had to be essentially perfect! 5 stars to Ghorban and his crew at A1 Home Roofing gor a great (and difficult) job at our large house in the Crescent Park section of Palo Alto. Our house has both 1- and 2-story sections. Each section has a very high and steeply-pitched) )about 60 degrees) roof. And, each roof section has multiple high-wide andsimilatly steep and high-pitched window gables. Additionally it has a separate but attached 2-car garage, and a separate but detached small shed. A-1 re placed the entire roof, which was comprised of wood shingles, with triple-layer Presidential asphalt shingles. The job was completed exactly as promised and on schedule. Importantly, every bit of debris resulting from tearing off the original wood shingles was cleaned up. The shrubs, trees and other plantings surrounding our house were not damaged or otherwise affected. read more

Early part of the year Solomon & brother Darius are the heart of Astro Roofing company! I asked…read morethem to come give me an estimate @ my duplex rental in Oakland, came out same day/early evening with tall ladders & did some measurements & the following day gave me an estimate & the following week had a crew of st least 10!!! Day one, removed whole roof, had a dumpster to haul away the debris. Assessed what was under & found a section with dry rot. Covered roof with a big tarp . Next day, repaired dry rot, replaced all plywood on roof , day three installed all new vents atop roof & replaced all gutters & downspouts installed tarpaper & new roof shingles!! All in all 2-1/2 days Astro Roofing completed task & cleaned up all around the worksite I didn't need to ask for any other bids bc I saw them @ work in another city at another time & was impressed with their performance & when Solomon gave me their pricing I agreed as they were quite reasonable! Even with the extra cost of $800 for dry rot repairs! I whole heartedly endorse this company! Astro roofing is your expert professional one stop shop! 7 stars...

Scammers! These guys told me there were 2 options for fixing…read morea small roof leak - an expensive permanent fix or a temporary fix for a bit cheaper. I was told that the temporary fix would definitely get me through this season but not the next and the permanent fix would last until I get a new roof. I was considering getting a new roof, which they knew about, and provided a quote for, so I paid for the temporary fix only. The very next day it rains and it's clear the "fix" didn't work. I ask them to return and actually fix the leak this time so they come back and haphazardly throw some more tar on the roof. It doesn't rain for another 2 weeks but the moment it starts raining, the leak shows up again. This time when I ask them to come back, I'm told I need to sign a contract with them to replace the entire roof and that there are no refunds for the faux leak repair. CROOKS! Don't waste your money. Pay someone who knows what they're doing. Not this inexperienced father and son duo who will cheat you out of your money. Edit to address business response: I am thoroughly disappointed that you claim to state facts in your response. I was told specifically that the temporary fix would "100% resolve the leak". I was told the cause of leak was evident and the temporary fix would prevent leakage for the rest of this rainy season. I was given two options for repair - neither of which involved a full roof replacement. I was told the more expensive "repair" would last until I decided to replace my roof. I chose the less expensive option since I did intend on replacing the roof at some point. When your claims about the repair turned out to be false, you came a second time and explained why the temporary fix was inadequate. You then explained how the remediation performed that day would "absolutely fix the problem". This has nothing to do with the structural integrity of my roof or its age. There was no indication that the roof needed to be replaced immediately. The home water heater was recently updated and replaced. The area around its exhaust vent was likely damaged during replacement causing the leak immediately above the water heater. If you provided facts at the time of repair I would not be upset about your work and tactics. I was told the leak would be stopped with your repair. Period. It was not. I guess you get what you pay for. What made this worse was that you then tried to make me sign a contract for a FULL roof replacement locking me into your low quality services. Why on earth would I allow you to do anymore work on my roof when you lied to my face about the leak and your workman quality is clearly subpar? You also offer no kind of guarantee on your work so the risk is too high.
